Anyone due in April part 4

Hey guys, new thread for the April due dates.

Looks like the other thread maxed out before someone could make a new one, so I'll tag a few people and then if they could tag a few and they tag a few and so on, so we can try and get everyone in.

There's no way I can get everyone tagged myself, it's a nightmare on mobile.

@jeepjeep4 @mrsed1987 Congratulations!

@BVIre You're allowed to be grumpy at this stage! Maybe just copy and paste a fairly curt response 'nothing yet but I will tell you when he/she arrives' or just leave the messages on read and don't bother replying haha

MumDaisy1980 · 09/04/2024 06:48

@jeepjeep4 @mrsed1987 congratulations!

@BVIre i experienced the same closed to my delivery. I simply ignored and text in my own term to keep myself sane. Hope it helps!
focus on yourself. What I realised also that after birth most ppl focus on baby rather than you. So even you not text back not end of the world. Good luck!!!

BVIre · 09/04/2024 08:31

Thanks so much everyone lol glad it’s not just me! Think I might just start leaving people on read and hope they get the hint lol

Mrsttcno1 · 09/04/2024 09:51

Definitely not just you @BVIre I’m exactly the same I’ve got no patience for it anymore. I sent all of the nosy Nora’s a text yesterday telling them I would get in touch when I have news and to stop pestering me🤣🤣 I do feel like I’m being nasty and grumpy but I can’t bare it!! I’m really not feeling too impatient for baby to be born (terrified of childbirth) but when people are constantly texting to ask if she’s here yet it’s making me feel like I’m almost letting people down!

Ttcmumma · 09/04/2024 13:14

Feeling soo much pressure in my pelvis/cervix area today, really quite hurts😬

Iamcatmum · 09/04/2024 14:11

@BVIre I’ve had a couple of ‘check in’ messages from people who haven’t contacted me almost the entire pregnancy as well, who I have decided to ignore 🙈

@Ttcmumma ooo maybe baba getting into a better position!

Thought my waters might be going earlier but it was just leaky wee 😂

Baby is here for me too, a boy! C section went great. Loving this time feeding and bonding.

Good luck everyone still hanging on - whoever is next, it's worth the wait !

Congratulations!

Applesandpears23 · 09/04/2024 15:59

I am 40+4 today which is the latest I have been (3rd baby). I feel like things are less likely to happen today then a few days ago when I was very crampy and had lots of show. Last night I slept quite well and today I have been around ikea for something to do.

Ttcmumma · 09/04/2024 16:30

She's suddenly 3/5 engaged after never being engaged before so I think she literally done that today before my appointment considering the discomfort I've been having and only really low down. Had my first sweep today at 40+1 and booked for an outpatient induction on Monday at 41 weeks if she hasn't got moving then. Was only half a cm dilated during the sweep

BuzzybeeMum · 09/04/2024 20:16

Hello, all!
I’m in the same boat as a lot of you! 40+1 and I’m already getting the “is she here yet?” texts… a lot of the time from people I don’t even remember telling my due date! I had to tell my sister to calm down (and I feel bad because they are just excited), but they would know if something had happened/I was ready to tell them.

I had a sweep yesterday and I was 1cm dilated, but since then nothing’s happened so I’ve lost a bit of enthusiasm. Fed up of bouncing on my ball, trying to keep myself in a good mood for “oxytocin” and drinking all the tea and eating all the dates. It’s just the not knowing that I’m finding hard - if I knew with complete certainty that she’d be 6 days late I could chill out and relax! 😂

Ttcmumma · 09/04/2024 20:25

Bit of advice from anyone really.. I wasn't going to share earlier as I felt abit embarrassed but honestly it's life and we have to get out bits out for everyone to see to give birth so screw the embarrassment!

Basically I've had thrush quite a few times this pregnancy, I thought I had stopped months ago now. No more symptoms all seems comfortable etc but after my sweep today, the doctors glove had quite a bit of white on it. I kind of starred at it and she could see I was concerned so she just said 'its thrush' but then nothing else came of it. It was a very busy appointment so I never actually got around to asking about it but also, she didn't say I needed to treat it. I don't really want to put a pessary in there knowing my cervix is starting to open. I feel fine but concerned about baby coming out and getting thrush. Do I just leave it? Anyone got any experience of thrush this late on? 40+1 with induction booked Monday but really she could come anytime!

BVIre · 09/04/2024 20:47

@BuzzybeeMum totally with you! I know people are so well meaning but honestly if there was news I wanted people to know I would’ve text! Don’t know why people think it’s appropriate to badger!!

Also I have fully resigned myself to the fact that I am going to go right to my induction date (booked for Sunday) but it is making the days long!! But yes will be glad to never see my yoga ball again lol!

Ttcmumma · 10/04/2024 16:16

Lost my plug this morning, waters went lunchtime. 3cm and waiting to be admitted, think I have 1cm to go. Walking around and checking baby hourly to make sure she's coping with the waters being gone. Wish me luck!

Mrsttcno1 · 10/04/2024 16:26

Omg @Ttcmumma !!! Good luck!! X

BVIre · 10/04/2024 17:08

Had a sweep today! 2cm dilated, cervix was soft & short but cervix was still posterior? Trying not to google too much but feel like at 40+3 it really shouldn’t be posterior! Anyone have any experience of successful births/inductions even with a posterior cervix this late on?

sugarplum33 · 10/04/2024 17:08

Good luck @Ttcmumma!

2 of my friends both still had posterior cervix when they went in for their inductions, so don’t worry! X

@Mrsttcno1 good luck🍀how exciting hope everything goes smoothly x

BVIre · 10/04/2024 18:01

@Mrsttcno1 thanks! That’s so good to hear! My hubby has told me to stop googling but as Google isn’t being very positive!

SummerOak · 10/04/2024 19:32

Congratulations @mrsed1987 and @jeepjeep4!!

@BuzzybeeMum my sister was like that as well, 'is he here yet ' , 'when is he coming', and I wasn't even 39 weeks yet. Told her to stop asking!

Good luck @Ttcmumma

Ttcmumma · 11/04/2024 02:01

Baby girl was born at 21:09 10th April 😍. 40+2, lost mucus plug in the morning, waters broke at lunchtime, still only 4cm at 19:30pm but out she came in the water at 21:09pm. So in love
Absolutely cannot sleep on this post natal ward tho, baby and partner sleeping away nicely and I'm just here like 😳 lol

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 11/04/2024 05:15

Congrats to everyone who have had their precious babies already! Great to see the April babies starting to arrive ❤️

I'm a late April due date but got my fingers very much crossed for an early spontaneous labour.
