Our DS had chickenpox in July at 7 months. Big sister went to a settling in session at school and must have caught it there as I hadn't really been around any other children in the few weeks before. He was absolutely covered. Then they both had HFM in October which seems to be going round here.

Oh bless, its horrible isn’t it, i hope she doesn’t catch it but probably will since big sis seems to have caught it aswell now 😞 xx

@Avie29 just reading further up about spots inside mouth, are you sure it's not HFM? Our daughter had literally 3 spots on her hand, but DS was covered. On his knees, in his mouth, groin, all of lower arm and wrist. We thought he had chickenpox again but saw gp as he wasn't feeding who said in some cases HFM causes a wider spread rash than you'd think!

Im pretty sure its chicken pox but if HFM can cause a wider spread rash than im inclined to lean more towards HFM because it started in his mouth and so has big sisters, but he doesn’t have any spots on his feet 🤔 xx

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 18/11/2024 08:20

Mine had HFM, single spot on one thumb, another under his big toe. Someone else in his room it was up their backs, mouth, face. Their mum caught it and was so bad in her mouth she couldn't eat and was all over her hands. Different people different locations.

Oh ok 👍🏻 so im back to HFM then, never had HFM before, just rang DD school to say she will be off and they said there is HFM going around too, oh dear i hope i don’t catch it, too busy to be ill haha 😂 xx

@Avie29 Oh poor Littles, I hope they get better soon! The drive went well, we went to bed later than planned so set off later than planned but the drive itself went really well, took around 7 hours just over with just the one stop for breakfast and stretch of legs when he woke up. He had a lie in because he went to bed later. We have the return drive Tomorrow night so fingers crossed it's a similar journey.

@Nclktnntt littles are coping ok, not able to eat much but got plenty of ice lollies/cream to keep their energy and fluids up lol glad the drive went well, good luck for the drive back 👍🏻 xx

Not sure how many more split nights I can handle 😭😵‍💫 anyone else experienced this? My LG will sleep for about 4/5 hours then wake up, want a full blown 3 hour wake window then go back to sleep for a few hours! She’s already woke up once tonight but I managed to get her back down. I’m so tired I need a full nights sleep!! lol x

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 18/11/2024 22:02

Mine is waking every 10-30 minutes and won't sleep unless rocked 😭 we're having to take it in shifts to rock while other sleeps. We're both at work full time too.

I just don't understand it. Full blown arching back screaming. Can't see any signs of teeth. Cough/runny nose but that's standard.

Avie29 · 19/11/2024 06:56

@99SR my little girl went through a month of doing that back along, i used to just bring her downstairs atleast i could have a coffee then lol she would have a play for couple hours n then start crying that she wanted to go back to bed, was less stressful than trying to force her back to sleep, unfortunately i have no pearls of wisdom she just stopped doing it eventually. I am still going through the frequent waking sometimes she will sleep for 2ish hours sometimes only 40 mins and every now n then i get the luxury of a 3/4 hour stint 🥱 😴 xx

99SR · 19/11/2024 07:21

@FlyingHighFlyingLow oh no 😣 how did last night go? Have you tried calpol? You guys must be exhausted!

@Avie29 thank you lol! My partner brings her downstairs but I almost can’t face it. But you’re right it’s less stressful if you just admit you’re up for a few hours rather than continually trying to resettle them! Hopefully you get more and more 3/4hour stints 🥹🤞🏼 xx

Calpol, nurofen, anbesol. He literally will not sleep unless rocked or my nipple in his mouth and they're now red raw.

Avie29 · 19/11/2024 12:20

@99SR i hope so, thankfully on Saturdays dad takes over luch time dutys so i can get couple hours in the day lol.
@FlyingHighFlyingLow have you tried some gripe water? Could be trapped wind with the back arching xx

Try getting on scales with and without baby and subtract your weight. Plot it in her red book and see if it tracks her line.

Mine is about 20lb but he was 9lb plus at birth.

Mushroo · 20/11/2024 21:59

Not posted on here in ages! Hope everyone is doing well.

@FlyingHighFlyingLow my LO is about 20 pounds, but she loves her food and isn’t crawling yet so is a bit chunky!

Shes starting to cruise and slept through last night for the first time (8pm - 7:30am!) It was incredible. Hoping we’ve turned a corner.

99SR · 21/11/2024 07:37

@Avie29 my LG is 21lbs.

@Mushroo amazing! Hope you made the most of it!

Avie29 · 21/11/2024 07:48

Ah ok so she is a teeny bit on the small side but not much, thanks ☺️ xx

Nclktnntt · 21/11/2024 09:37

Who's little one empties the bin again - I thought of you this morning when I made the mistake of leaving the recycling bin out by the door ready to take outside and didn't take it out before little one found it 😂😂

My little girl done that with the washing basket yesterday, she keeps using the washing baskets as push along walkers so we have a proper one on the way today lol hopefully give her the confidence to just start walking, we have had 4/5 steps here n there but she loses confidence i think n sits down lol xx

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 21/11/2024 11:27

Mine is the opposite! We've had to lock the toilets and bins because he keeps throwing anything he can find into them 🫣
