Our little guy is screaming and does what I refer too as his gremlin noise 😂

We didn't go to any fireworks displays as didn't think he'd like them and they were all started past his bed time anyway. He wasn't kept awake thankfully but a couple nights he was disturbed by them and getting him to sleep was harder, but once asleep he was ok.

Gremlin noise 😂 i love that haha i call her my little mogwai cause she makes little squeaky talking sounds lol xx

99SR · 11/11/2024 12:20

My little girl was already a screamer, she’s took it to another level haha! Was screaming while I was making her lunch now she’s sitting munching her breadsticks & cheese as if nothing happened 🫣🤯

Beans1982 · 11/11/2024 15:54

Haha @Nclktnntt my LO makes gremlin noises too! 😆
Not sure if my LO is going through a leap or if he's suffering from teething pain but last 4 days he's felt hot (although temp was ok), one flushed cheek, hands permanently in mouth etc. but can't see any teeth about to break through anytime soon...and he's been a lot more fussy.
Bless him, he no longer likes to go in a lift, doesn't like to be put down and one morning he put a piece of cold banana in his mouth and he cried instantly ??? xx

Avie29 · 12/11/2024 21:58

We have steps! Suddenly out of the blue this morning was playing peek a boo with big sis, big sis was putting muslin square over her face and she took 5-6 steps to her to pull it off her face lol managed to get it on camera the second time, did not expect it the first time lol xx

Oh AMAZING!!! I cannot wait for my little man to have the confidence to take a few steps. The hanging off my legs constantly is proving getting anything done at all quite difficult 😂😂 he is so so close, you can see him thinking about it and about to lose his hand from whatever he's touching, then changes his mind and get down to crawl lol.

Haha yea the leg clinging is hard to work around, especially since she gets particularly leg clingy in the evening while im trying to cook dinner lol her new favourite thing is she has learnt to lift the bin lid 🤦🏻‍♀️ this last week has been fun stopping her from pulling everything out the bin lol xx

Nclktnntt · 14/11/2024 12:20

@Avie29 oh gosh 😂😂 our bin is a cupboard within the kitchen units thankfully 😅. It's mainly when he's hungry and especially when tired - in over the leg clinging stage for sure lol.

He likes helping me empty the washing machine and load it into the dryer - although it's more he helps empty both 🤦🏼‍♀️

Got a leg clinger over here too lol!!

how much milk are your LOs getting now? My LG was doing so good with weaning now I feel like she’s being so picky. She’ll try everything but only have a few bites. I’m doing BLW cause she doesn’t like when I feed her lol. But wondering if she’s getting too much milk and she’s not hungry. She gets 3x 8oz bottles (morning, before afternoon nap and before bed). She usually has about 2/3oz from the morning one but then I give her the rest of it before her morning nap. So about 24oz per day.

thanks

Avie29 · 14/11/2024 12:44

@Nclktnntt im contemplating putting a stair gate on the kitchen door lol but my youngest son is autistic and has cognitive delay and can’t workout how to open the stair gates lol, @99SR i don’t know how much my little girl is getting as she is bf, i don’t let her have breast untill after her meals, so we get up and she has cereal then breast before morning nap, gets up has lunch then breast before afternoon nap and then gets up has dinner then breast before bed xx

Oh yea my LO has a thing about clothes at the moment too, she likes putting them on her head/over her face, i think its probably because we use her muslin squares to play peek-a-boo lol is your LO pointing yet? She has started pointing at everything allll the time especially today, i went upstairs to get her from her nap and the first thing she done was point at the door lol xx

Noname112 · 14/11/2024 20:05

My wee one is trolling me about walking. He stands holding onto nothing for up to a minute , sometimes lifts one of his feet a bit but no steps yet. Just did his first proper one finger points today. So cute. Love this hit where there trying to communicate so much with you even though they’re not speaking.

Nclktnntt · 14/11/2024 21:18

@99SR my little ones having around 7-8 ounces first and last bottle and the middle one is anywhere from 3-8 ounces. He hasn't had the middle bottle today though. I think he's starting to drop that one.

He has breakfast first, usually porridge then around 2-3 hours after that he'll Have his first bottle. Normally after waking up from his first nap. Then food around 12-1 ish and 3ish 2nd bottle, then 5-5:30 last meal and and then last bottle on bedtime. Roughly eating every 2 hours ish.

Today he only had 1 nap and slept through lunch so ate 2 bananas whilst I was warming up and waiting for his food to cool down 😂

He also absolutely loves his food, but has become a little pickier with foods based on how they feel on his hands... hasn't stopped him eating anything though yet 😂 it's More BLW now , he's started to refuse the spoon off me and trying to do it himself now lol.

@Avie29 not pointing for where to go and things like that but he points at the book when reading, and is trolling me around like @Noname112 s little one 😂

Today I think he was trying to say the word more - he also started putting his arms up to be picked up and expressing when he'd finished the piece of banana I'd given him. I'd say more and he'd laugh and say something similar but not quite. More like mohhh. My husbands convinced he's already said juice (well tried too) for his water. Trust my little foodies first words to be related to things when he's eating 😂😂 he's trying to call his dad and me, but I'm more when he's upset or wants cuddles than when he wants my attention lol. Is your little one trying to talk yet?

Awww bless, we have had mumma and dadda, but the rest is just babble at the moment, i think she attempted David yesterday (big brother) pointing at photos but was probably just coincidental babble when she pointed at his photo lol “did-did” haha xx

Nclktnntt · 15/11/2024 15:14

@Avie29 aww it sounds like she did! Definitely saying more - kinda - as he did it again today for a snack whilst waiting for his lunch 😂😂

We're doing a 7-8 hour drive later (gonna try setting off at 2-3 in the morning so most of the drive is done whilst he's sleeping - fingers crossed. It worked when we did it before but he was only 4 months old then. (We left later and it took 9-10 hours due to more stops) He'll wake up for sure when i take his sleeping bag off him and put him in the car chair, I just hope he goes back to sleep again 🤞he should do, but he's not guaranteed to sleep in the car and has had a couple outbursts when overtired and can't sleep.

Scratch that he has woken up covered in spots, he has chicken pox…. Again 🤔 highly likely baby girl is going to catch it/already caught it 😞 never seen chicken pox inside the mouth before my poor buddy xx

Nclktnntt · 16/11/2024 10:53

@Avie29 oh no 😥 I know few with chicken pox at the moment, it's doing the rounds by the looks of it. I didn't think you could get it twice though? If your littlest one doesn't catch it (unlikely like you say but fingers crossed) if she doesn't, apparently there's a vaccine out now which I'm going to look into for my little guy.

Neither did i, but he had it when he was 18 months (caught it from older siblings) and he is riddled in spots, definitely chicken pox, there have been a few cases in his class, he hops in the bath with baby most of the time so she will have probably caught it, trying to keep her away but it’s contagious before the spots anyway xx

Flower35214 · 17/11/2024 19:56

How are we feeling about upcoming birthdays?? Any present ideas?

Nclktnntt · 17/11/2024 21:12

Little man started pointing today ☺️ Is Definitely saying ' more ' (not clearly but trying), has a right little personality starting to come through.

@Flower35214 haven't thought too much about presents as such, I brought a few wooden toys last month and have set some aside for Christmas & new year but haven't decided which will be for what yet. Have you thought much about presents?

@Avie29 how are your Littles?

@Nclktnntt looks like big sis is coming down with chickenpox too 😞 and very grumpy baby today so think she is feeling off 🤔, how did the drive go?.
Not really thought about birthday yet but baby was 9 days late so i have some time after Christmas to think about that lol focused on Christmas presents at the moment xx

Our DS had chickenpox in July at 7 months. Big sister went to a settling in session at school and must have caught it there as I hadn't really been around any other children in the few weeks before. He was absolutely covered. Then they both had HFM in October which seems to be going round here.

Flowers90 · 18/11/2024 07:58

@Avie29 just reading further up about spots inside mouth, are you sure it's not HFM? Our daughter had literally 3 spots on her hand, but DS was covered. On his knees, in his mouth, groin, all of lower arm and wrist. We thought he had chickenpox again but saw gp as he wasn't feeding who said in some cases HFM causes a wider spread rash than you'd think!
