Thank you all!
I ordered two different togs for 0-3m so hopefully this will get us through the newborn stage. Not expecting it to definitely work but feel better knowing I have something at hand!

PeeBeee · 02/01/2024 08:50

This is my 2nd and with my first i ended up just swaddling baby in a cellular blanket until she was big enough to go into the sleep bag 0-6 and shes 20 months now and still in the sleep bags, they are a godsend! Didn’t know there were small sleepbags so might actually look at them this time!

These are a bit pricy but personally loved these as it's harder for baby to overheat and they're multi-tog. Removes a lot of the guesswork and felt safer to me. Last from 8lb to 2 years, although we had to buy the next size up for our little boy from about 18 months. But we can use the same one in the winter, summer, on hot holidays etc, just with different layers underneath.

We did cellular blankets for the first 2-3 weeks also til baby was the right weight.

Hi everyone,
Im excited I’m 34 weeks today! Only six weeks to go! I’ve done my last wedding harp gig, just another month of piano lessons. I can’t believe all our babies will be out soon!

Sunshineclouds11 · 02/01/2024 15:54

Anything feeling alot of pressure down below? I honestly feel like I could go at any second 😅

Me! I was just talking about it with my husband - we do a 1h walk everyday and while walking I feel like constantly peeing - that pressure if so uncomfortable 😅

Cheetocat · 02/01/2024 16:24

I don't think my little one is head down yet. He was breach at the last appointment with his head on the left below my ribs but he has moved now, though I don't think he has flipped over.

Shrillwaffle · 02/01/2024 16:27

@Sunshineclouds11 i feel like she is trying to push my bladder out of my vagina atm 🤣🤣

@LavenderSweetPea thankyou 🙏🏻 I am really struggling anxiety wise I just want her to be here safe and sound 😞 I have got an appointment with perinatal tho so hopefully talking can help

@msp2023 i have some sleeping bags that were my nieces but I was planning on using just blankets tbh 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same! I've been feeling the pressure more in my bum though since last night but it's on and off throughout the day! I told my mum it feels like he's about to come out the wrong end 😂

I think there was a discussion on this already so forgive the repetition but I can’t find it now🙈
how many of each size vests and baby grows do we bring for baby’s hospital bag.
for example

newborn (up to 7Lbs) I have 3 of each
first size (up to 9Lbs) I have 1 baby grow so prob need to pick up another few?
up to 1 month (mine vary from 12-13 Lbs) I have loads of these

thanks x

I think it's 3 of each? But I could be wrong! I've packed 3 vests and 3 sleep suits in first size and then in case he's a bit bigger, I've kept the next size up in a separate drawer so someone can go grab them from home if needed - but could always pack of 3 of each size just to be on safe side

chuppachups12 · 02/01/2024 17:29

Is anyone really struggling? I'm 34+3 and the stomach pains at night are awful, my legs are excruciating only when I'm trying to sleep, I can't stand still without feeling so winded and the random sickness and diarrhoea to top it off. I'm miserable!

Kelb79 · 02/01/2024 18:33

I’m definitely feeling the pressure - like I constantly need to pee and it just feels really heavy down there! But… as far as I’m aware we’re still breech so I guess they must be sticking their feet down 🙄🫣 I keep getting these little popping type feelings that are so deep down they feel like they could be in my actual vagina 😳😳 very disconcerting!! 🫣🫣

Mummapenguin20 · 02/01/2024 18:35

I’m very heavy and constant pressure actually got my ball out today to try move this baby from my pelvis a bit I’m end feb so still have a few weeks before I want baby ready lol x

CheeseAndCrackersx · 02/01/2024 19:00

Has anyone else had their boobs leak whilst in the bath? First time I've noticed it to happen

Mummapenguin20 · 02/01/2024 19:03

@CheeseAndCrackersx mine do if it’s a warmer bath in fact anytime they get warm (in bed I wake up with my top stuck to me ) xxx

AllAboardTootToot · 02/01/2024 19:06

Sat my side plate with the last piece of cheesecake on my belly and baby has just kicked it off and it’s fell on floor. Actual cried 🙈😂

Husband officially thinks I’m mental 😂

Gardenfingers23 · 02/01/2024 20:12

I’m also in the camp of feeling incredibly uncomfortable at the moment, having regular tightness throughout the day and heaviness. Also feeling a bit sicky and period-like feels which has got me worried that I may have her early - only at 33w2d so want her to stay in there at least another few weeks!! I’m probably just being paranoid and have my next midwife appt on Monday so hopefully she can reassure me everything is as it should be!

undercoverhero74 · 02/01/2024 20:17

Just after a bit of advice really.. I had my first growth scan today due to Low PAPP A at my 12 week check.
Baby is measuring on the 9th centile and I'm scheduled to have further scans every 2 weeks. They said she is currently 4lb? I'm only 32 weeks so this sounded good to me but apparently not.
Those of you that have had additional scans how much were your babies weighing at 32 weeks? I just want to gain some perspective?
The sonographer didn't seem too concerned but it's been playing on my mind

Mummapenguin20 · 02/01/2024 20:27

From my growth scan @undercoverhero74 at 32 weeks my baby is predicted 4lb1oz at 40 weeks we’re predicted 8lb x

Shrillwaffle · 02/01/2024 20:39

@Gardenfingers23 sammme, Has anyone else thrown up? I felt so sick last night then woke up this morning and threw up it’s making me worried she’ll be here early

AllAboardTootToot · 02/01/2024 20:57

@undercoverhero74 around 4lbs is exactly where baby should be at 32 weeks I was told by midwife at last appointment so that’s where we are hoping she is come Monday.

try not to worry, sounds like baby is bang on 🙌

undercoverhero74 · 02/01/2024 21:06

@AllAboardTootToot @Mummapenguin20 thanks ladies. I thought it sounded ok but she said it was smaller than they would like and now my diary is full of various scans and consultant reviews.
I will try not to worry, I just wish badger notes had a bit more info on it so I could do some of my own research 😂😂

DmcinT · 02/01/2024 21:07

@undercoverhero74 I was just over 4lbs at 32 week scan and told it was perfect so sounds like ur right on track ❤️

anony1111 · 02/01/2024 21:22

I had a scan today to make sure my placenta had moved away from my cervix, which it has done thankfully! Baby boy is head down too!

I agree with you all on the uncomfortable feeling and pressure down below 🙈 I keep thinking how am I going to last another 8 (ish) weeks?! I feel so unprepared all of a sudden for some reason, I have most things bought just need to get my hospital bag stuff sorted now, seems a lot of you have already packed them though?!
