I'm due 25th June 2024. So am 5+2 today. Very sore boobs and very tired. Also very thirsty. Anyone due around the same time and would like a support thread? This is my 2nd. Dd is 8, will be nearly 9 when baby comes. Let's share stories, symptoms and have a good moan when we need it!

Hi everyone
Sounds amazing!
I have just found out I’m pregnant and supposed to be going on our honeymoon to the Maldives in a couple of weeks. I’m currently 7 weeks and this is my first pregnancy so I’m a little all over the place! I’ve had an early scan everything looks normal and we have a little beating heart but I’m worried about travelling on 11 hour flight plus a sea plane this early on. Has anyone done long haul flight so early in pregnancy, would anyone cancel? Doctors say no evidence to show flying is harmful but of course we worry don’t we!

TeamSpike · 30/10/2023 14:45

Ho @Mills1991 congrats! I wouldn't cancel. Maybe just try and walk around the plane if you're worried. I went to the Maldives and it is truly incredible. Have an amazing time

@Mills1991 hi there, oh how exciting. I wouldn’t cancel. I am 7 weeks and 6 days and if I had the opportunity I would go. Thousands of woman travel. Just make sure you drink lots of water maybe take vitamins for your immune system for the plane as that is already lower and just enjoy yourself!

starr24 · 30/10/2023 18:02

Wow @Mills1991 that sounds amazing! And congratulations! I can understand your worries but if there were medical concerns you would be getting advice against travelling so go for it! And enjoy every second!

Mills1991 · 30/10/2023 18:49

Thanks so much everyone. Yes we had an early scan a couple of days ago and they said it should be fine she can’t see any signs of high risk pregnancy or anything but we love to worry don’t we!

Bubblesandtroubles · 30/10/2023 21:36

@Mills1991 welcome! I echo everyone else and would absolutely get myself there. We honeymooned there and it was amazing!
We stayed on a couple if islands. One was via seaplane and the other speedboat. Would it be an option to switch to that if you're especially nervous about the seaplane?
I hope you have a wonderful time! Xx

Morning everyone. 6 weeks today. Feeling a little bit sick. Was ravenous yesterday. Just didn't feel full all day. Hope everyone is getting on OK

Hi Everyone. Congratulations to you all. I am currently around 8 weeks and experiencing very sore boobs, first thing I noticed. Had a Nauseous feeling for around a week and a half now but the last couple days I have been feeling fine, does anyone who has been nauseous or had morning sickness notice this come and go some days? Looking forward to scan now!

Welcome @Emmz55 . Really sore boobs and a bit of cramping is all I've had so far. No sickness yet. When I was pregnant with dd I had awful sickness all the way through. Hoping it's not as bad this time!

Congratulations!

Me too - I’ve felt very sick all day everyday for about a week now, been sick once or twice only. Boobs also super sore! Hoping it won’t be like this too much longer :)

5kidsandadog · 31/10/2023 16:47

Hi, I'm 5 weeks and 4days with severe nausea. I'm struggling to cope with it! Has anything worked for anyone whos going through this? X

TeamSpike · 31/10/2023 19:30

Hi @5kidsandadog when I was pregnant with dd I used to eat a ginger biscuit before I got out of bed. Also flat full fat Coke helped me. Can't stand ginger biscuits now though 😅

Hi guys. I'm 5+2 today and on Sunday I experienced random shooting shoulder pain which now feels like the sort of pain you get when you sit at the computer for too long. I saw online that it could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. I called the EPU and they've asked me too come in for a scan tomorrow. Feeling panicked and convinced of the worst

Bubblesandtroubles · 31/10/2023 19:46

@Georgiadent123 how worrying a wait for you 😔
I have had all sorts of aches and pains and second guessed myself. I really hope it's just you second guessing yourself and everything is fine.
Sending hugs and a hand hold in the meantime. Xx

6 weeks yesterday! Feeling okay at the moment. Just need to wee all the time, bit gassy and sorry boobs! My midwife rang me yesterday to book me in for my booking appointment which is on 21st!

TeamSpike · 01/11/2023 07:53

Woke up feeling absolutely shattered. Slept all night which is unusual for me. I usually wake up a couple of times. Want my appointment to come through!

Morning ladies! Got my scan to check it’s not eptopic at 3pm. Struggling to focus at work and feeling anxious as anything!

Georgiadent123 · 01/11/2023 08:47

Yay for a night of sleep! Be gentle with yourself today xxx

NegativeNelly · 01/11/2023 09:42

I've not been contacted for my scan! Very annoying, the symptoms I've had are fatigue, nausea but not vomitting and very sore boobs

littlebopeep1991 · 01/11/2023 09:48

Have you all had contact from your midwife teams?
