I'm due 25th June 2024. So am 5+2 today. Very sore boobs and very tired. Also very thirsty. Anyone due around the same time and would like a support thread? This is my 2nd. Dd is 8, will be nearly 9 when baby comes. Let's share stories, symptoms and have a good moan when we need it!

Welcome and congratulations to all of the new people!

@Babyhopeful23 I also had preeclampsia in my last pregnancy, I was in hospital waiting to be induced as I got to 37 weeks, really hoping not to go through that again!

TeamSpike · 09/11/2023 10:55

How's everyone feeling today? Still no nausea for me. Actually did another test last night to put my mind at ease 🤣 really enjoying satsumas at the moment. Haha. Anyone starting to crave anything?

@TeamSpike I'm the same- no nausea to speak of! I think id be reassured by at least some.
I am however currently on a train for a work trip and so hoping it doesn't kick in tomorrow!!
Other than sore boobs, being a bit more bloated and weeing a lot id genuinely not know the difference!
No cravings yet. At least satsumas is a nice healthy one! Xx

Oh lord - I wish I wasn't feeling sick.
My nausea has been 24/7 since week 5 so I am 4 weeks in now and it's really starting to get me down! No food cravings... not interested in food at all. The worst thing is that I don't want to drink anything so getting a bit dehydrated.
Anyhoo... could be worse.
How's everyone else feeling? Xx

Justkeepmoving1234 · 09/11/2023 20:15

I thought my nausea was easing off, but it came back today!
@TeamSpike and anyone else not experiencing nausea, I didn't get any nausea or food aversion with my DS, I just think every pregnancy is so different! This one is definitely making up for it!

@waster86 really feeling you on that front. I really struggled to even drink water from 6 weeks until the last few days. I found drinking warm water with lemon in was okay, if that helps? Any fluids with sweetener in set off my nausea.

I've had my 12 week scan through for 15th November, I'll be 11weeks 3 days. Looking forward to hitting that milestone.

Redheadx · 11/11/2023 16:27

I’m the same the sickness hit with force on week 9. Struggling through for the next few weeks wondering if i will ever feel normal again lll

bstar2024 · 11/11/2023 19:16

I am also due 21st June 🥳🥳

TeamSpike · 13/11/2023 08:43

Morning all. So the nausea started a few days ago for me. Except when I'm eating. Its weird. I'll feel fine when I'm eating then I'll feel sick until I eat again. I'm enjoying my food and sweets. Had some tangfastics last week and they tasted amazing 😅 feel like I need to be eating something constantly so I think I'll have some sweets on hand all the time

I'm due early June. Today is the first day in a couple of weeks where I haven't wanted to cry with exhaustion. Which at first was great, but now it's just a bit worrying.

Sandytoes66 · 15/11/2023 22:02

Anyone else getting evening sickness!? With DD1 I was sick in the mornings, but with this one it seems to be all day nausea and sick in the evenings. It's not fun, this! At least we know it'll be totally worth it!!

waster86 · 16/11/2023 07:14

This is exactly my pattern of sickness. Nausea all day and then feel super sick in the evenings. It's a vicious circle as I don't want to eat any dinner which makes me feel worse in the morning.
Roll on 2nd trimester.

TeamSpike · 16/11/2023 07:35

Yep my nausea is worse in the evening. Feel really sick by the time I go to bed. Haven't actually been sick yet. Tiredness is getting to me now. Just want to sleep all the time.

OP posts:
Sandytoes66 · 16/11/2023 07:38

It's exhausting isn't it. I was up all through the night so hungry as clearly went to sleep on an empty stomach 😩 But then the hungrier I feel, the less I want to eat as I feel so sick! The tiredness is also A LOT. I could easily nap all day long, but put me in bed at night time and I'm wide awake!!!

waster86 · 17/11/2023 08:04

Is anyone feeling like nausea and food adversities are really getting them down? I am soo bored of feeling sick, not being able to cook my little boy and husband a yummy meal or be able to enjoy evenings. Feels like all I am doing in moaning (sorry, here again moaning). I know it won't last forever (10 weeks now) but even the thought of a couple more weeks of this is 😩😩

Yes I feel the same. I've started on cyclozine which is helping with the constant nausea but knocks me out so I'm sleeping so much. 8.5 weeks, seems like a long way to go to get past this part

Redheadx · 17/11/2023 08:10

Yes feeling sick all day everyday, I never feel like eating if I get over tired I am sick all night then don’t sleep which then adds to feeling sick during the day. I am nearly 11 weeks so I know I’m nearly there but it really does take a toll on you! Good luck everyone I know it will be worth it

TeamSpike · 17/11/2023 13:59

Sorry to hear you're suffering. Please come and moan to us! Keep going and stay strong. We can do this ladies

I'm the same I waited too long to eat yesterday eve I g and was extremely sick ! I'm only 9 weeks this Sunday and just praying the sickness passes soon I've had to get a gps letter and ask to work from home short term as I can't function driving myself to work and then trying not to draw attention to myself all day trying not to puke at my desk . I don't k ow how anyone does this multiple times 😅

Mills1991 · 17/11/2023 20:31

Hey everyone
Hope you are all keeping well!

I’ve had a little bleed today after a super stressful day at work so little worried as you would be. I’ve also got some aches down my legs, mainly just top of my thighs. Anyone else had anything similar? I’m just over 8 weeks now.

Replying to a message above I too have been trying not to puke at work constantly! Was with a friend in the car the other day and had to pull over to be sick! She didn’t know I was pregnant but can safely say she does now haha!

TeamSpike · 19/11/2023 21:41

How is everyone getting on? How are you @Mills1991 ? Any more bleeds? Hoping everyone is feeling OK. Nausea is pissing me off now. Still haven't been sick. Just constantly nauseous unless I'm eating. And when I'm eating I feel fat and bloated. Feel like I'm showing already when it's probably just my usual stomach fat being pushed outwards 🤣 I'm not skinny so I just feel fatter at the mo

OP posts:
Mills1991 · 19/11/2023 22:21

Doing a bit better thank you, had a scan so I know everything is ok so more relaxed now. Oh I totally get you, I’m the same. I’m a big girl anyway but my belly has gone round and I’m sure it’s because I can’t stop eating otherwise I feel sick! Hopefully it all passes soon for us! Xx

bstar2024 · 19/11/2023 22:23

Has anyone had to take time off work? I'm 9 weeks now and have been off for a week already and thinking I'm just too sick and exhausted to return. Its so frustrating! I am a nurse so patient facing and I feel bad for my colleagues. 😣

TeamSpike · 19/11/2023 22:34

Oh I'm glad you've had some reassurance @Mills1991. Oh I'm sorry you're suffering so much @bstar2024 that's a hard job to do when you're throwing up all the time! I'm just lucky so far I think. I was terribly sick with my first dd. I'm a cook in a nursery so I'm praying I don't get the sickness

Anyone experiencing comments at work? I had someone make a comment a few weeks ago asking if I had something to tell them and then again today someone asked outright if I was pregnant because I seemed different and they had a feeling for a couple of weeks now! I feel like a few people at work have guessed and I don’t know how cos I’ve not been unwell so as far as I’m concerned acted totally the same

I've been out of work as I've had bad morning sickness (24/7) I'm sure everyone has guessed and my managers know as I had to tell them but if anyone says anything to me when I get back I'm just going to brush it off till I get to my 12 week scan then I don't care who knows .
