Hi ladies, I couldn’t find another thread made, so made this as the other one was full. I will try tag a few people … if you can also tag.

I'm wondering now if I might be having the start of something... I've been getting regular pain since about 2/3 but it feels different to my last pregnancy.

I have the MW at 10:00 so I guess I can speak with her if nothing progresses. I am just not sure if it's BH or more!?

Either way I hope it holds long enough for my to get DD to nursery in a couple of hours!!

Maya34 · 19/10/2023 05:12

Congratulations on all new babies🥰❤️
My waters were broken yesterday night and 10 hours later my son was born with c-section help. So exited! I was booked for planned cesarean on Monday, the 23rd. So delivered 5 days earlier, at 38 weeks and 2 days.
Wish anybody who is waiting for a baby a smooth labor/c-section🙏🏻💐

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 19/10/2023 07:29

How lovely to wake up to a flurry of new babies on the thread! Off for sweep #2 at 40 weeks 3 days today, fingers crossed!

AlongcameLainey · 19/10/2023 07:59

Ahh little baby boom. Congratulations all 💕

doeandfawn · 19/10/2023 09:02

@Maya34 congrats!! ❤️

Hope everyone is safe with the storms today and tomorrow. We’re just a hair outside the red zone thankfully.

doeandfawn · 19/10/2023 09:44

For everyone else still waiting to meet baby and absolutely miserable you are not alone, end of pregnancy can be so uncomfortable and slow and frustrating and you’re not the only one googling every little twinge in the hopes it means labour is here.

NSx · 19/10/2023 10:22

Congratulations to all the new babies and mummies 🩷🩵…
I’m one of the later due dates in the group so sitting patiently waiting at 39+1 today ❣️

Part of this club! Feels like everyone is having their babies between this thread and my NCT group 😂 but am not due until 27th so need to be patient. I am finding I don't really want to see people etc and even talking to people annoys me quickly and just want to stay home with DH, don't know if it's a form of nesting but I just want to be at home with him (am not madly cleaning though 😂)

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 19/10/2023 11:51

Second sweep done! Way more aggressive this time (bit of blood at the end) and more uncomfy, booked in for a third on Monday but fervently hoping I won’t need it! Super crampy and sore now so off to bed for a nap I think!

doeandfawn · 19/10/2023 11:56

@Sagittarius25 maybe for the next ones we plan to be due on the 1st of the month haha

cruciverbalista · 19/10/2023 13:44

@peonygirl you made it!! So happy for you :)

ES1986 · 19/10/2023 15:46

I was supposed to be induced today, but the hospital rang earlier and said there are no beds. It’s getting late, so I reckon I’ll need to wait until at least tomorrow, maybe the weekend.

Really deflated, I’d built myself up a bit.

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 19/10/2023 15:48

@ES1986 I’m sorry to hear that, must be so disappointing after getting amped up!

AlongcameLainey · 19/10/2023 16:48

@ES1986 Ahh that must be so hard to cope with. Fingers crossed for tomorrow for you

Smiffette · 20/10/2023 02:20

After a day of contractions baby boy arrived very quickly at 18:00 after 15 mins in the pool pushing.

He is perfect and currently asleep on me! He weighs 8lb 6oz although seems really small still. Apparently he is long.

ForeverAndEvers · 20/10/2023 04:18

Congratulations @Smiffette and to all the babies who have arrived.

I've been slow to update as had a throat infection in the run up, and then my toddler got a sickness bug but our little girl is here! Planned c section and she's perfect!

@ES1986 we were called on route to the c section check in to say there were no beds so to come the next day so understand the anticipation and then let down! Hope you get your induction soon!

doeandfawn · 20/10/2023 04:43

Congrats @Smiffette and @ForeverAndEvers on meeting your wee ones! ❤️❤️

ES1986 · 20/10/2023 05:07

Congratulations @Smiffette and @ForeverAndEvers

The hospital called whilst I was out for a walk last night at 5:30pm! I got home, had something to eat then came in. They inserted the pessary about 9pm - just had 20 minutes on the heart rate/movement monitor. Baby’s fine, but doubt if the pessary is doing anything. We’ll see later…

I have my own private room at least, so sleep isn’t too bad considering.

doeandfawn · 20/10/2023 06:01

@ES1986 good luck!!

I’ve got my pre op appointment today; what to expect?

AlongcameLainey · 20/10/2023 06:56

Huge congrats @Smiffette and @ForeverAndEvers 💕

I am currently 3 days over due. I have got acupuncture to induce booked for this morning as it worked with my DD. Hoping it’ll work this time to avoid the hospital induction on Tuesday 🤞🙏

Koalawhala · 20/10/2023 09:05

Congrats @Smiffette and @ForeverAndEvers!

Hope your pre op goes well @doeandfawn, I have mine tomorrow for planned section on Monday too. I was told blood test, given meds to take night before/morning of and being given a time slot to arrive on the day. How are you feeling about the section?

doeandfawn · 20/10/2023 10:09

@Koalawhala so excited to meet the wee one! What about you?

doeandfawn · 20/10/2023 17:58

Good thing we opted for section because baby boy has flipped back to breech! Felt like he’d moved a lot last night but didn’t even know it was possible this late (38+4).

Koalawhala · 20/10/2023 21:22

@doeandfawn I didn't realise they could do that. I know they can change to head down quite quickly but must be unusual to move like that so late on? Good job you were planning on a c section anyway

I'm nervous and excited for Monday. Feeling ready for it though
