I managed to get a earlier scan booked for 30th. It's a few days earlier than original but still feels like an eternity away. Not sure how I'll cope over Christmas. I'm just praying it's a hook effect or something and I'm not miscarrying. It would devastate me. I miscarried over Christmas last year too and this was our final attempt at ivf

ChildOfTheMoon · 20/12/2023 15:26

@Dodds87 I'm no expert but I would think if a test gets darker when you dilute it down then it may be the test is overwhelmed by hcg ? I have no idea maybe someone else can theorise but I would think if your miscarrying your lines would get lighter , and would be even lighter when diluted because there would be even less hcg. I can't imagine they would get darker with less hcg if miscarriage is occurring. Again I'm no expert tho

Maybe try a separate post incase there's any poas addicts out there who might ve able to provide insight

Brokenpancreas94 · 20/12/2023 18:38

@WhiteHorse92 @tulipsunday I'm terrified haha...slightly gutted that i won't be able to experience a vaginal birth, but they said because of his size he's likely to get stuck!

JRTfan · 21/12/2023 07:56

@suz2285 hi yes it does! I have 2..well crosses actually but struggled to think of a username!

suz2285 · 21/12/2023 08:27

@JRTfan cute! My sister has one JRT and one cross (that looks more like a sausage dog) and she also has a frenchie who is a little stinky pain in the ass 😂 the JRT is a lovely dog though hahah

JRTfan · 21/12/2023 09:51

@suz2285 mine are often known as terrierists! They are great personalities but can be hard work. Fortunately my older dog adores children so we have no worries about her with a baby, the younger one is scared of them! May be different when it is part of his family though.

suz2285 · 21/12/2023 11:00

@JRTfan my sisters JrT is older and grumpy now, we have cats so I only see the dogs if I'm over at hers cos they all hate cats and they can't come into my house 😂

Not sure how the cats will be when baby is here, find out soon I guess!

Had a bit of an eventful morning. Woke up in the night and started itching everywhere, literally spent about 3-4 hours wide awake scratching constantly, hands, feet and everywhere else. Everytime I soothed one itch I just started itching somewhere else. Did a quick google to see if it was a normal pregnancy thing but all it kept coming up with was that it's the main symptom of intrahepatic cholestasis and to see midwife urgently, then checked my Badgernotes and persistent itching is one of the symptoms it tells you to go to maternity triage for, so off I went this morning. Luckily I was the only one there so got seen straight away, they've taken some blood to test liver function and checked baby over, although I was on the CTG monitoring for about 40 minutes because the baby decided to go to sleep and they were waiting for her to actually move 😅. Back home now anyway and a doctor will ring me tomorrow if anything comes back abnormal. Not exactly what I had planned for XMas Eve 😅

On another note, merry XMas Eve everyone 😊

tulipsunday · 24/12/2023 12:13

@WhiteHorse92 sorry you have had an eventful 24 hours! Good to get checked and hopefully all is well. These babies keep us on our toes don't they!

Brokenpancreas94 · 24/12/2023 13:31

@WhiteHorse92 oh gosh, how eventful!! Itching all over is the worst isn't it! They tested me for the liver thing in second trimester because of all the hives I had!
Hopefully all is good with you, and you're not in on Xmas day!

I'm full of cold/flu today, feel dreadful! Well I've had the cold for about a week..nearly passed out in the dentist the other day because I couldn't breathe, but then I started to feel worse Friday night 😩

Hope everyone else is doing good! Xx

suz2285 · 24/12/2023 15:04

@WhiteHorse92 oh dear that doesn't sound fun at all but least it was quiet! Hopefully they can figure out what it is that's causing it

@Brokenpancreas94 sorry you're full of the cold still 🙈

My stomach is much better, still not great but have my appetite back at least 🥳 just in time for Christmas! We're down at my mums and she checked baby (she's a midwife) and he's in a good position and she thinks 2 or 3/ 5ths engaged, good heartbeat and says I'm looking well so I'm happy with that, sister and husband could hear the Heart quite well through the hand Doppler this time 😂

Sister spent like 2 hours yest with her hand on my belly baby was going crazy, pregnancy hormones in full swing and I spent this morning crying in the cinema at the muppet Christmas Carol which I'm sure amused everyone else! 😂😂

ChloeN · 24/12/2023 22:43

Hi girls! Hope you’re all okay, just came on to see how you were all getting on! @Brokenpancreas94 just read of your c section date, how exciting!!

@tulipsunday hope you’re doing okay too! X

tulipsunday · 25/12/2023 08:22

Merry Christmas everyone! I know it can feel a bit of a strange one with all we have been through on this thread but hope you can all enjoy the day.

@suz2285 that's really handy your mum can check on baby glad all is feeling ok.

@ChloeN hey! All good thanks. 38wks pregnant so not too long till we meet little one. Enjoy your very special first Christmas with your baby girl. How are you both doing?

OP posts:
suz2285 · 25/12/2023 09:14

@ChloeN hello! How are you doing? How is your little Christmas angel doing?

@tulipsunday thanks, I'm glad baby is ok too, I on the other hand feel rough 😂 apparently a few days of being social and doing actual things has wiped me out!

Merry Christmas all, hope you have a good one

@Brokenpancreas94 hope you managed to build that doll house in time 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 25/12/2023 18:50

@ChloeN nerve-wracking ahha! But also cannot wait because I'm so uncomfortable and I'm only 35 weeks!
Merry Christmas and your first as a Mummy too! How magical!!

Merry Christmas to everyone else!

@suz2285 finished this morning at 11am hahaha

I've been ready for bed since about 10am this morning haha

WhiteHorse92 · 25/12/2023 20:14

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hospital rang me today, blood results are fine, normal liver function (been awake half the night itching again though but must just be hormones I guess), slightly elevated protein in urine which they said could be nothing or could be infection so they want to repeat in 2 weeks but they don't seem concerned so overall, good news. So sleep deprived and wiped out the last few days though, it's made me quite miserable and I keep having appetite problems, could only eat a bit of XMas dinner then was full and needed to lie down for a couple of hours. The next 4 weeks are going to drag if I feel like this every day 😭

Hope you've all had a good day 😊

TheBirdintheCave · 25/12/2023 23:15

Merry Christmas everyone :)

Brokenpancreas94 · 26/12/2023 14:06

@WhiteHorse92 glad your blood results were fine! I barely ate any of my christmas dinner either annoyingly! I'm so uncomfortable and in pain with my belly it's annoying

tulipsunday · 27/12/2023 08:21

Glad your blood results came back ok @WhiteHorse92 sorry to everyone feeling rubbish. I'm still having a few less pleasant pregnancy side effects 😬 but otherwise ok. Husband back to work today as saving days for when the baby comes so in sole charge of my energetic three year old who isn't great at independent play and weather not looking good 🙈 hoping the new toys means he will actually play and let me rest a bit..

OP posts:
suz2285 · 27/12/2023 08:41

@tulipsunday I know what the heck is up with this weather! We're travelling back home today but I hate it when it's stormy and we're in the car! Was the same on the way here! The journey is uncomfortable enough at almost 38 weeks now

@Brokenpancreas94 I've managed to eat way more food than I thought possible but way less snacks as the main meals filled me up! There's zero food in the fridge when we get home so might take cheese and biscuits from mums for dinner tonight 😂😂

Got midwife tomorrow, hopefully my bp is behaving! Last night was emotional, my sis was upset and then I cried and then we started laughing and couldn't stop, thought I was gonna die... said to mum I hope I don't laugh out my mucus plug and then we all started laughing again! Luckily all the emotions didn't send me into labour overnight 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 27/12/2023 15:59

@tulipsunday my 7 year old is full of it as well, played with one of her new toys earlier on the floor but then couldn't get back up 😂
2 weeks today left for me unless he decides to come himself! My belly is still very sore and got some pressure now down below, it hurts when I go to sit down, get up, turn over in bed...feels like I've had the section already haha

@suz2285 at first I thought the lack of appetite was because I cooked Christmas Dinner but I didn't even eat dinner last night, going to attempt to have a small jacket potato tonight though so I've eaten something! Hope your journey home is going okay xx
