Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

Morning girls, I’ve requested to join the Facebook group although I’ve had some bleeding yesterday so my clinic want me in for a beta test tomo. Fingers crossed it’s a decent number.
I’ve taken today off work so if you’ve got any Netflix recommendations send them my way!

RaisingCornishWildlings · 05/10/2023 11:40

@EWH oh cripes, got everything crossed for you. Tomorrow must feel like an age away!

I don't really watch much TV so no recommendations but have a list of great books/audiobooks as long as my arm 🤪

I'm supposed to be going away for the weekend tomorrow (hubby gets back from a work trip and we are literally meant to be swapping at the train station! - my toddler still isn't right with her tummy, and now eldest been sent home from

Pleased to be joining the conversation 🙂

I have a 2 year old with my husband. We got married last month and ditched the contraceptives the week or so before, our wedding as we thought we'd start trying. My period was due on our honeymoon but never showed up. Had a BFP and I'm 5+4 (due 3rd June ish)!

Happily suprised as it took a while to get pregnant the first time. Feeling really grateful and hoping this one sticks! 🤞

I'm pretty sure I was throwing up a lot this time when I was pregnant with my son, which is making me worry this one won't last. But the GP reassures me every pregnancy is different, so trying to enjoy feeling not too awful for now (still tired, emotional and a bit off).

Thanks for the FB group! Great idea, I've requested to join.

Hope everyone is doing and feeling ok x

CharlySwarles · 05/10/2023 15:57

@EWH good luck for tomorrow x

BrwnX · 05/10/2023 18:31

Good luck for tomorrow @EWH hopefully it's just some implantation. Sending hugs 🫶🏻

We have decided to tell our parents tonight. I know people think it may be too early but I feel after our MC in July I would like some support this time at the beginning.
I am trying to be super positive and take everyday as a blessing xx

RaisingCornishWildlings · 05/10/2023 21:47

@BrwnX how exciting! Anyone who has an opinion about when you should tell people about a pregnancy, quite frankly can shove off. It's your body, your baby, your decision.
As you say, support is crucial, and really it's down to each individual when they feel they want to tell people! Just like everyone having an opinion on how you give birth etc, it's NONE of their business 😂
So I hope you enjoy the moment of sharing this news, and I hope you get the support you need during the early weeks xxx

BrwnX · 05/10/2023 21:50

Thank you so much @RaisingCornishWildlings that means a lot!
Totally agree with everything you are saying. It was really lovely telling them, they were over the moon for us.
Just now to get through the next few weeks 🤞🏻 xxx

Jak803 · 06/10/2023 00:08

@RaisingCornishWildlings Great advice! 🙌

I think I have my myself a dye stealer 😍 the bottom test is yesterdays- top one this morning!

Due June 24?
Nightbeforeslothmas · 06/10/2023 07:46

@RaisingCornishWildlings congrats!

This probably sounds weird.. your line updates in this post were really helping me loads from assuming worst & that I'd had a chemical as we're roughly similar situ (14th sep/irregular) so someone else being a bit fainter/not having a glaring pink yet at same timeframes was quite reassuring, even though people say it doesn't matter. Otherwise had been fretting 😆

But.. sure as day, after seeing your update today I tried and hey presto, dye stealer at 22dpo. So it does just take a bit longer after all :)

So thanks for the updates and here's to the megapink 😁

Thinking of you today @EWH. Hoping everything goes as smoothly as possible ❤️

The midwife contacted me yesterday and has organised an early scan at 8wks for us due to previous losses. Almost counting down the days, scanxiety is real.

EWH · 06/10/2023 09:53

Thanks @BrwnX @Tefiti3 started the day with car electrical fault meaning I missed my train, had to walk to station and was a sweaty mess at the appointment. Did another clearblue this am which came up as 2-3weeks at 15dpo so things look like they are progressing but will be good to have hcg number. If it’s above 100 they will book my scan for around 7 weeks! @Tefiti3 would you be tempted to book a private scan? I’m tempted to book one for around 5.5 weeks just to confirm this isn’t ectopic again! x
love the progression on your tests @RaisingCornishWildlings 😍

G7X · 06/10/2023 17:10

Had a call from EPU to say they would book me in for a scan next week due to previous MC. Will be 5 weeks exactly. Surprised it’s that early, not sure they will see much by then??

HappyValleyFan1 · 06/10/2023 20:23

@G7X I'd go with an outlook of not expecting to see anything. I've had quite a few early scans due to recurrent MC and had one this week at 5+1. They could see a yolk sac in a good place but nothing inside it as yet, I think the only thing they can rule at that stage is good position, or not ectopic, no fibroids etc, maybe if there is 2 yolk sacs. They did manage to pick up on an abdo scan rather than transvaginal which I was surprise about but definitely good to expect to see not a lot I think 😃

Jak803 · 06/10/2023 21:52

I’ve requested to join the FB group, so I’m looking forward to getting to know you all better soon!

Hi ladies

I had a bit of bleeding this morning so feeling a bit on edge. It was only spotting and bright red (sorry tmi) so I’m hoping it’s completely normal. My auntie is a midwife so might end up spilling the beans to her so she can put my mind at rest.

RaisingCornishWildlings · 07/10/2023 08:03

Morning @sinmiedo - really hope it's nothing more than a bit of spotting. My best friend bleed in both her early pregnancies and I can only imagine how anxiety including it is.
If
You have a good relationship with your auntie then talking to someone knowledgeable, who you can trust, seems like a sensible move to me xxx

I told the whole group I'm staying with this weekend (a good friend and all her besties- we are away for her 40th)

Jak803 · 07/10/2023 08:51

@sinmiedo keeping everything crossed for you! I hope your aunt can shed some light.

EWH · 07/10/2023 12:49

@sinmiedo bless you it is stressful. Hopefully it’s nothing to be concerned about. You’re aunt will keep you sane xx

I’ve requested to join the FB group but I’m not sure it worked? Think I’m still waiting to be let in! 😄

in other news that dreadful hungover feeling persists, despite living like a monk! 😄
