Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

Same here, I was weighed at my booking appt and was about half a stone heavier than I thought I’d be, which I’m putting down to the constant grazing on beige food to keep the nausea at bay!

8+2 today and feeling so tired and nauseous, but not enough to call in sick to work. If I could, I’d happily have stayed in bed for a few more hours.

Hope everyone’s doing ok 💐

Stephy1024 · 13/11/2023 12:17

I'm with you all on the clothes being tighter. But does anyone else feel.their stomach looks pregnant? I'm 10+4 and I've noticed a woman I work with keeps looking at my stomach. This is my 3rd so I suppose those muscles have been well and truly stretched out 😫.

PurpleIsTheColour · 13/11/2023 12:33

10 +5 here and I definitely have a little bump that is not only bloat. I can’t fit in any of my jeans so it’s dressed for me currently wherever I go, but at least that’s my normal workwear anyway. I think that if my office mates were a bit more carefully observing me that would have definitely guessed it by now 😂 My NHS scan is next Friday so I can’t wait to finally tell everyone and not have to put a brave face when I feel so ill and permanently exhausted. With my DD all my symptoms stopped at 10 weeks so this pregnancy is a bit different but hey ho

We had the NIPT done privately on Friday just gone so should be getting those results in the next 5-7 days-I can’t wait to get a confirmation that everything is okay and find out if we are having a boy or a girl😍😍

happytobemrsg · 13/11/2023 12:49

I’ve had a huge bloat bump pretty much from the moment I got my BFP 🤦🏻‍♀️ bloat seems to have calmed down yet but I can only wear stretchy leggings now. Third baby here so that might be why I’m showing so early.

I’m 7w +4 today. Private early scan booked for Saturday (was thinking of booking it for last Saturday but given that it’s in London I’m very glad I didn’t!).

Got a bad chest infection at the moment. Dry cough, coughing up phlegm. Saw Dr this morning & given antibiotics so I’m back in bed watching GBBO & day dreaming about cheese crumpets.

MizzMarple · 13/11/2023 12:54

I think having a little bump at 10 weeks is normal? I’m only 7 weeks and I’m definitely fatter. It’s really noticeable to me but I don’t think to other people yet.

Ad12345678 · 13/11/2023 12:56

Hi all, happy Monday. Just had my private scan, all is good and I’m measuring 5 days ahead wow at 8+1. Only 2-3 weeks of nausea ahead hopefully. It was magical to see the tiny bean and heartbeat and I finally believe I’m pregnant and it’s not just stomach issues 😂
on a side note a local newspaper published an article about my hospital having 47% c section for first time mothers which is far from ideal. I def need to do more research into my rights before the birth. No blame or judgement here, just for me it’s something to avoid if possible

LElle88 · 13/11/2023 13:17

Hi everyone, hope you’re all keeping well. I’m 8+2 today and had my booking appointment last week. The midwife mentioned booking in for a covid booster vaccination. I’ve had all my other covid vaccines to date but last time I was pregnant was pre-covid so I wasn’t offered this back in 2016. I guess I’m just asking has everyone been okay with having this vaccination during pregnancy? Thanks 😊

Mountainview8 · 13/11/2023 14:46

I've had all my covid vaccines and had my booster and flu jab at about 7 weeks pregnant, had a private scan a few days later and all was good. I'm now 10 weeks and apart from a sore arm I've had no effects from the jabs.

oop · 13/11/2023 15:36

I'm 10+5 today and also have a bit of a bump. A lot of bloat too but there's definitely a bump there first thing in the morning before I've eaten anything. By bedtime the bloat has taken over and I look about 6 months gone 😂 Second baby so assume my stomach muscles haven't even bothered to try this time around!

My 12 week scan has come through for the end of the month when I'll be 13 weeks exactly so 2 weeks and 2 days to go. Still feels like such a long wait 🙄 I want to tell people!

HappyValleyFan1 · 13/11/2023 16:05

Glad to read everyone is doing well and some have seen baby already 🥰 been MIA for a while and struggling to keep up as life has just gotten in the way and sickness has really knocked it out of me.

Had an early scan at EPU at 7 weeks and saw a heartbeat, I'm 11 weeks today and 12 week scan is next week. Starting to feel pretty nervous

@G7X snap on the only not feeling sick when eating. The sickness this time has always been worst in the evening so looking forward to that hopefully going by second tri

Already struggling to hide. At that awkward stage between looking like I've put on weight/pregnant.

Catson · 13/11/2023 17:40

Hi all, sorry I've been quiet too. I'm just over 7 weeks. I don't have nausea so much, but just food aversions. Really struggling to want to eat anything and the thought/look of food makes me feel sick. Hoping it passes. With my first I felt continuously nauseous unless I was eating, so a bit different.

Did the self referral form for the midwife the other week but haven't heard anything yet, would quite like my first appointment with to them get my scan date. Hoping there isn't a backlog and it will be before Christmas

DanisEndo · 13/11/2023 18:28

Just over 8 weeks here, DEFO pilled on the pounds. Eating to ward off nausea is the only way at the moment. Not had any actual sickness. Also feeling like I can see some form of a bump already! Not sure though if that’s just me being over excited….
booking appointment with the midwife on Saturday and super excited but really wish there was a scan involved. Dying to hear a heartbeat and see a bean!

4 weeks today until the 12 week scan just feels so far away but husband is overly cautious and nervous about a private one.

not told work yet as currently trying to negotiate a pay rise. But I have my work Christmas party on the 7th December and they are HEAVYY drinkers (which I usually partake in to a limit) so they’ll notice if I’m not drinking…. But don’t want to stand in my own way of a pay rise by saying too soon….

LavenderJoy · 13/11/2023 18:43

I'm glad it's not just me then haha! I've always been a good eater before and watched how many treats I eat etc, but I feel out of control 😅 I have a little bump too and my clothes already are tight, this is my 1st pregnancy but my partner is adamant its all the chocolate, sweets and cake I keep eating.

I had a panic today I don't feel pregnant anymore and I'm sure my symptoms are disappearing, I don't know if that's because I'm 9+3 so just settling down or if it's something to worry about. I had a scan last week and there was a heartbeat 💓

VJFord · 14/11/2023 11:03

We had our reassurance scan this morning at the Early Pregnancy Unit. 7+2 according to my last period, and the scan pretty much backed that up as being somewhere around 7 to 7+2 weeks.

We've had a lot of bad luck in the past and two of our early losses came just 3 or 4 days after an early scan and seeing a heartbeat, so I feel like the next week or two is going to be super difficult for me. I asked if I could get another scan at 9 or 10 weeks but they said no, unless we felt that something was wrong or I was experiencing pain/bleeding. Trying to be grateful for this morning and the confirmation that right now things are looking good. I'm going to try to relax for today, at least, even if I start worrying again tomorrow.

Goldie1234 · 14/11/2023 12:12

Hi all, nice to hear everyone's news. I can't belive we're going to start seeing 12 week scan pics soon !! I'm obsessed with a little nub theory photo haha we asked the sonographers to tell us their predictions with my daughter and son at their 12 week scans and both were right so definitely asking again at this one !
I'm 8 weeks and this is such an anxious time, feeling grateful for feeling awful and other symptoms haha although I am so tired I've run out of any kind of patience, my poor kids are getting the brunt of it especially trying to get ready for school and leave on time 🤯🤯

Senso21 · 14/11/2023 16:30

Looking for some positive vibes right now as I feel so poorly and upset

had a lovely early scan on Friday as part of NIPT test package which actually dated me further along than I thought I was - making me 11+5 today. Went out with a group of friends after and told them as I felt semi safe.

Saturday I felt a bit ropey and tested positive for covid. I still test as I am clinically vulnerable (dodgy immune system). So I’m now day 4 and although I’m feeling much better, today I have started feeling breathless and like my heart rate is faster than usual. I just feel a bit triggered by it all, I’m worried about me getting worse, the baby not getting enough oxygen, birth defects, miscarriage, you name it. I’m also waiting for the NIPT blood tests results this week so feel like that is hanging over my head making me anxious.

I’ve spoken to the early pregnancy midwives who have said to me all I can do is rest.

I just feel really sad about being poorly, wondering what will happen next etc 😓

DemelzaRobins · 14/11/2023 16:58

I'm 11+2 today and the nausea is not quite as bad as it was (or I've got used to it/am eating frequently enough to keep the worst of it at bay). My 12 week scan is next week.

I think I'm starting to show a bit. 3rd pregnancy but never got past 7+4 before. Some clothes are definitely feeling a bit tighter and suspect I will need to buy some jeans in the next size in a few weeks. I blame all the crisps, chips and toast I've resorted to due to the morning sickness!

I'm on week 4 or 5 of an awful cough following a cold and chest infection. Limited as to what I can take bar my usual asthma meds now that the antibiotics have cleared the infetion. Cough is so bad that I've thrown up multiple times from coughing fits which is something I've never had before. As an asthmatic I've had my fair share of hideous coughs and I've felt close to being sick before but never vomited until now.

Cold came a few weeks after my flu and Covid jabs. If only we had a jab for the common cold!

glasshalffull0 · 14/11/2023 20:24

@LavenderJoy I'm the same! I was already a size 14 bottom/16 on top and I'm worried about how much weight I'm going to put on- I was already really conscious about it!

I get hungry as I'm eating!! I've started constantly snacking on fruit, I really fancy juicy fruit like a good juicy grape or pineapple. But for meals I only fancy beige food like toast, jacket potato, chicken nuggets! My diet is awful!

Ad12345678 · 14/11/2023 20:49

I ended up at my dentist’s office today for an emergency appointment - a filling came out. Had 2 new fillings done under local anesthesia. The doctor said it’s okay and safe, I hope he’s right. I’m 7+4 now. Have anyone had their teeth done in the 1st trimester, how was your experience?
Still very tired in the evenings but I cooked some soup today which is a huge improvement.

Catson · 14/11/2023 22:49

Not this time but my first pregnancy I did and it hasn't impacted on my little one at all @Ad12345678

UK2NO23 · 15/11/2023 07:05

Hey guys, the amount of sickness going around at the moment is crazy, hope you’re all feeling better soon! So just getting over covid myself now at 8+2. I’ve got first scan on Monday but really nervous as to everything being okay. I’m still feeling super nauseous and the indigestion/heart burn is awful but today my RHR is almost down to levels of when AF hits so it’s worrying me a little.

Also I totally relate with the juicy fruits and beige food 😫

Hi everyone. Anyone who’s been pregnant before - what does the ‘stretching’ ligaments feel like please? I’ve felt like I need a poo for the last 24 hours but sort of at the front very low - so much TMI there sorry but it’s the best way I can describe it!

cosymama2020 · 15/11/2023 08:20

@Sd183 Mine didn’t and doesn’t feel like I need the loo but it is really low. Feels like I’m about to pull a muscle for me!

MsNeis · 15/11/2023 08:40

@Sd183 The best way I can describe it is like it sounds: a muscle stretching, like when you do stretches for warming up before exercise 😬but in the lowest part of my abdomen, and something else is doing it, not you 😅 For me, I feel it more when I've been walking or standing up for a while. I'm sorry if the description is poor: I blame my pregnancy brain 😂
