Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

@FinallyPregnant23 welcome!

Have you just found out?

I am 37 also, and this is second pg- the first was a mmc.

How are you feeling apart from the morning sickness? I think its important to note that no pg is the same and symptoms coming and going are quite common too!

FinallyPregnant23 · 01/11/2023 15:43

@Gt1986 thank you! I'm feeling good to be fair aside from this, I've actually just spoken to my midwife and she said it can be normal too so I think I'm just worrying.

No, I found out very early, already feel like I've been pregnant for ages 😂

Georgiadent123 · 01/11/2023 16:37

Panic over! Happy little sac in the uterus xx

Shiny88 · 01/11/2023 19:44

Hi guys, ended up in a and e Tuesday evening, got told my HgC levels were at a level that concludes a normal pregnancy.
But started bleeding and clotting yesterday and been having intense pains.
Had more bloods today and HgC levels only dropped by 18 so more bloods on Friday and another scan. I'm defo out though.
Obviously I'm really sad but I'm looking at it as a positive aswell because we've been trying for 2 years so I thought we were unable to conceive again so it's nice to know that we can. Just got to hope for a sticky bean next time.

Anyway I'm rambling.
Just want to wish everyone on here happy and healthy pregnancies.
All the best xx

Rewindthefilm · 01/11/2023 20:23

@Dottydent how did you get on today? Hope you’re ok.

@Shiny88 so sorry. Take care x

Goldie1234 · 01/11/2023 21:26

So sorry @Shiny88 so sad... wishing you all the rest and luck x

Bubblesandtroubles · 01/11/2023 21:30

@Shiny88 I'm sorry to hear that. But such a good that you can take the positives from it. Take some time to be kind to yourself an here's hoping you're back in a July/August group before know it 🤞🏻🤞🏻💞

KMM87 · 02/11/2023 08:17

@Shiny88 so sorry to hear that. Sending you lots of love x

Stephy1024 · 02/11/2023 08:59

@Shiny88 I'm really sorry to hear this. Thinking of you.

MizzMarple · 02/11/2023 18:47

I got my post mortem results from my last baby yesterday but they didn’t show any reason for it (late miscarriage). Which I expected but it was still disappointing.

They also scanned me for this one. It was too early to see a heartbeat (I was 5w 6d) but everything looked ok. They gave me aspirin and cyclogest but I don’t really understand why I’ve been prescribed them. I read they help if you’ve had early miscarriages but I’ve never had one. So I dont know what to do.

ellie3423 · 02/11/2023 18:51

Hey not sure exactly if to post here but I'm 17 and pregnant and due 8th June. Really scared about it but think I've decided to keep it just finding it very overwhelming atm

Goldie1234 · 02/11/2023 21:06

Welcome @ellie3423 congratulations! I can imagine this must be very scary for you ! Have you spoken to your family or friends about it ? I don't have any experience of young pregnancy but this is a very supportive group, I'm sure there will be others with great advice. X

Thanks! Yeah I have a lot of support and my mum is a stay at home mum and she says she can look after it when I am in school and stuff and my friends will help me too. So it should be ok just all very scary still and I feel so not ready for all this. My bf is like freaking out a lot and not sure if he will help much but he says he will try and help a bit. So hopefully will all be ok just still feeling bit too young and unprepared. Not sure exactly what it will be like. How are you doing with your pregnancy? x

Catson · 02/11/2023 22:41

Congratulations @ellie3423 . It must be such a strange and scary time but I know you will be a great mum just from what you've said so far. I had a friend who got pregnant at 17 too and she had the loveliest little girl and has honestly been the best mum. They are now the best of friends and have such a good relationship. It will be hard but it will also be the best thing you've ever done

Thanks! I hope so. Yeah it's really scary and I have no clue how it will all work or what it will be like and scared like when my friends all go to uni and go on night outs and I will have to look after my baby and not sure what it will be like. I don't know. I hope it will all be good

waster86 · 03/11/2023 14:08

Hi ladies.

A bit late to the party but looks like I am going to be due around 8th June. I am 37 with a 4 year old.
Pooping myself thinking about doing this all again, and being an older mum. Have been in denial since I found out 4 weeks ago but things are starting to feel very real now.

Hope you other ladies aren't feeling too nasty.

Suchardchoccy · 03/11/2023 15:41

Hope everyone is doing okay ❤️ I've got an NHS early scan on Monday to date me and I've just had a letter for my 12 week scan in December.

I've spent this week in bed 🤢 morning sickness and a terrible headache. Luckily I'm on annual leave until 13th November because I had so many holidays to use!!

Can't wait to see/read more scan stories!

oop · 03/11/2023 15:56

So sorry @Shiny88 😢❤️

After worrying about my nausea settling down for a few days at 8 weeks it has hit me in the face at 9 weeks. I've been solidly nauseous without break for over 24 hours now which is hard work with a toddler 🤢
Also lots of stretchy type pains. I had lots of round ligament pain from quite early with number 1 and definitely feeling that again already.
Can't wait until 12 week scan so I can tell people and not have to make excuses for being so out of it! Last time my 12 week scan was at 14 weeks 🙄 so really hoping to get an earlier date this time.

VJFord · 03/11/2023 17:50

Hi everyone, I am pregnant for the fourth time (we have no living children - miscarriage, third trimester loss, miscarriage). I realised recently I have spent 50 weeks being pregnant in total... Currently 5+5 and while I feel super anxious, I do also feel quite hopeful as well.

My due date is 30th June but I know my baby will be delivered early (if we get that far) as I will have to have a c section due to medical history.

We've got a reassurance scan booked in a week and a half (I'll be 7+2) and I will see my consultant at 10 weeks. I really hope we make it that far. I feel super anxious every time I go to the loo in case there is blood, but I am trying really hard to be positive and optimistic.

Hi there, we lost our daughter during the third trimester and I have also been advised to take aspirin. I believe it can help blood flow to the placenta, and doesn't pose any risks to the baby so in my case it is just a precaution (our loss was due to an issue with the placenta).

Do you mind me asking if your cyclogest prescription was via the NHS or private? My hospital has said they would only prescribe that to me if I experienced bleeding, but since we've had two miscarriages I really want them to prescribe it to me anyway!

Senso21 · 03/11/2023 20:54

@waster86
37 here too, have a 6 and 9 year old already. Also worried about being an older mum although at my booking appt the midwives kept telling me I’m not old at all and we’re quite confused about why I kept mentioning it 😂

MizzMarple · 03/11/2023 21:15

Hi @VJFord im so sorry to hear about your losses.

I got it on the NHS I think because I had a tiny bit of bleeding. But tbh I think I was lucky because the consultant was happy to talk about this pregnancy and scan me when I went in to get the results from the previous one.

VJFord · 04/11/2023 07:40

Thanks @MizzMarple, it sounds like you have a good and caring consultant. I've asked for the same one who took care of me when my daughter was born, and she has agreed to see me at 10 weeks, so just hoping we make it that far in this pregnancy 🤞

LizzeyBenett · 04/11/2023 08:38

Has anyone else's symptoms disappeared or coming and going ? I was so nauseous all week exhausted with major food aversions and yesterday it's completely gone. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and today is exactly the day I had my MC the last time , trying not to freak out but it's easier said than done .
