Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

@Catson I swapped for dairy alternatives as well so worth trying that? Midwife today basically shrugged her shoulders and said it’s a part of pregnancy 😂

Bubblesandtroubles · 24/10/2023 18:17

@VixFromThe6ix is there a specific pregnancy probiotic you've got? I think I might try that. I'm only 5 weeks but feel like I could burst! 😩 xx

KMM87 · 24/10/2023 19:44

@DanisEndo oh my gosh that's amazing!! Sooooo exciting 🥰

Catson · 24/10/2023 13:51

I'm only 4+2/3 or something like that... But anyone else getting so bloated so early on? Any tips for reduce it?

I'm 5 weeks and I'm also incredibly bloated.
I was with my first pregnancy aswell.
Nothing I did worked 😩.
I hope someone else has any tips

Shiny88 · 24/10/2023 20:47

@VixFromThe6ix I hope the probiotics help!
It's horrid feeling so bloated all the time.
I had it with my first pregnancy and nothing worked.

Shiny88 · 24/10/2023 20:49

Also I have a question for everyone.
Would you carry on playing netball?
I play with a mixture of ages, and it's more fun than serious but just wondering what bothered would do as I'm unsure
Thanks 😊 xx

mamataylor · 24/10/2023 21:26

@Shiny88 from what I’ve read on the NHS website it says it’s ok to continue with your usual physical activity for as long as you feel comfortable 😊 I go to a few gym classes per week and plan to keep up with those but make sure I don’t push myself hard x

cosymama2020 · 24/10/2023 21:46

@Shiny88 its up to you but I stopped straight away. Those who play netball know that although it’s meant to be a non-contact sport it definitely isn’t 😂 I went to training and sat out during the games.

Bubblesandtroubles · 24/10/2023 21:56

@Shiny88 I would. Admittedly this is coming from me who currently does no exercise- but I wish I'd started something pre-pregnancy now! Xx

Catson · 24/10/2023 22:22

Me too @Bubblesandtroubles, I said I was going to get into running so I could keep doing it while pregnant. I didn't 😅

Agathapoirot · 25/10/2023 06:02

I’m going to continue netball but it’s only a social league so not too serious. I’m just taking it easy, not getting too involved in scuffles and I won’t play if the courts at slippery.

FoleyHuck · 25/10/2023 06:37

@VixFromThe6ix @Catson I was really bloated a couple of weeks ago (and really quite fed up with myself and none of the clothes I'd taken on holiday being comfortable) but now I've got to 8 weeks it seems to have settled.

Someone at work yesterday asked if I'd LOST weight Grin

KMM87 · 25/10/2023 08:54

@FoleyHuck 😂 that's funny!! I'd be delighted with that. Right now I look I'm storing the Christmas puddings up my jumper. I hope mine settles down when I get to 8 weeks.

Dani46 · 25/10/2023 09:11

@Gt1986 amazing news!! Congrats.
I had a mmc in July, and I’m not going to lie I’m so scared of it happening again. But I know that it’s also very rare for it to happen a second time back to back. So I’m hoping that’s right 🤞🤞
how far along are you?
I’ll see if I can get the link now too for the group x

Gt1986 · 25/10/2023 09:21

@Dani46 ahhh thank you! I'm 7weeks today! I'm the worst at noticing symptoms I swear but now I feel so nauseous it is vile. Barely ate anything yesterday!

How far along are you? I'm scared I won't lie, of parenthood and also the chance of mmc as it was not the nicest of experiences to go through.....

I only notified my gp yest, whereas last time i was 4 and a half weeks so I got in with midwife at 8 weeks. There's no chance I'll get in in a week 😂

I did join 2 uk June 2024 groups yest myself by searching, as I couldn't find the group by name mn june 2024 bumps2babies so wonder if the name changed!

Dani46 · 25/10/2023 09:23

@Gt1986 im 7 weeks on Friday. I’ve had 2 scans all ready because I’m so worried 😩
I really do hope it goes well this time, I can’t face another mmc. But they say that it’s not common to have them back to back so that’s what I’m focusing on now. I was supposed to have another scan tomorrow, but I’m going to wait until next Friday at Epu. I’m hoping it goes well, and I’m keeping busy until then now.

my symptoms have been coming and going too, and then barely even there! I had dizziness at first which feels like it’s coming back of an evening. Also I’m getting headaches of an evening now but I don’t know if it’s because I’m tired. My boobs don’t really hurt anymore at all which worries me. X

Gt1986 · 25/10/2023 09:46

@Dani46 It's saying not available. Can you send me the name of the group to try manually?

Thanks!

Dani46 · 25/10/2023 11:11

Ah really? Sorry I’m rubbish!
The name of the group is MN June 2024 Bump2babies

oop · 25/10/2023 11:33

With you all on the anxiety.
I have my first scan on Friday and I'm getting progressively more anxious as it draws closer.
I'm 8 weeks today but I feel like my nausea has really eased the last few days. It's not totally gone and I still have sore boobs but it makes me nervous as last time I lost symptoms I started bleeding the next day and miscarried. That was 6 weeks though. I thought symptoms are meant to ramp up at 8 weeks!.

Jak803 · 25/10/2023 17:54

Sainsburys chorizo recalled for listeria risk! If you have it in your fridge don’t eat it.

Thanks! Just did a panicked chorizo check but turns out we buy the cheap stuff 😂- thinking about it, should I even be eating chorizo? I want to eat everything I can see right now (no nausea… yet…)

Tefiti3 · 25/10/2023 18:55

Scanxiety is definitely real and you have my sympathy with that! 8 + 3 and had a very reassuring scan at the beginning of the week, although my symptoms have lessened now, the midwife did say its common around this time for symptoms to lessen, but they may still pop back again. Wishing you all the best for Friday though x
