Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

@DanisEndo it was super quick - less than a week I think. Once I’d completed the form I got an email saying ‘thanks we will contact you between 8-10 weeks to arrange your booking appointment’ and I was thinking hmmm that’s a long time then I got a text off the midwife less than a week later to arrange it! Do you know if it’s badger notes where you are?

DanisEndo · 23/10/2023 15:03

@KMM87 oh wow amazing! 8-10 weeks would be pants considering the timing of it all 😂

I’m not sure - there was one I looked at which says on their site that they do but not sure if my preferred one does. What’s the difference?

UK2NO23 · 23/10/2023 16:09

Hey! Hope all is going well with you ladies!

Had an appointment today at 5 weeks for confirmation and to fill out paperwork with the midwife. Have to go back tomorrow for tests as the lab wasn’t available today. Starting to feel more real now!

Although I don’t think I’ll fully believe it until I see confirmation on screen 🥺 time is going to go so slow!

Hi everyone

New here but could do with some advise, words of wisdom !
Im nearly 35 and already have a 15 year old and I found out Saturday that I'm pregnant (massive shock) !!
Today I've had bleeding but not heavy like a period but enough to know that it's there and actually lost some when I went for a wee (if you know what I mean). Has anyone had this before ? My doctor said my obs were fine but i'm too early for a scan.
very anxious and stressed so any help or advise would very appreciated ❤️ xxx

RaisingCornishWildlings · 23/10/2023 17:11

I'm still lurking around though not actively reading posts after my MC 2 weeks ago. Had a hard time coming to terms with it but then had to put my big girl pants on to support my lovely hubby who was effected more than he thought he would be- so we are looking after each other lots!

And I think I'm ovulating again already!
My mood over the weekend was hideous, add on abdominal cramps, vague nausea and very sensitive nipples and I think my body is keen to get cracking! We DTD last night - so will see whether anything transpires!
Keep fingers crossed please guys xxx

Bubblesandtroubles · 23/10/2023 17:47

@RaisingCornishWildlings 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 sending you all the positive vibes and baby dust I can ✨✨

Xlouise88xx · 23/10/2023 17:55

So sorry to hear this and fingers crossed for you xx

Bubblesandtroubles · 23/10/2023 19:10

@Xlouise88xx welcome! No personal experience with bleeding but I've read plenty of stories on here from people who have and go on the have healthy pregnancies.
Did they say they would give you a scan in a week or anything? I hope this limbo period passes quickly for you and you have some reassuring news soon. Xx

MizzMarple · 23/10/2023 19:23

Hi can I join you? I’m 4.5 weeks which gives me a due date of around 27th June. I’m under the bereavement midwives as I had a miscarriage at 16 weeks in August. They referred me to EPAU as I’ll have an early scan at 7 weeks and they got straight back to me with a date for it. Very nervous about it all but we’ll see I guess.

Xlouise88xx · 23/10/2023 19:24

Hey 👋
Thank you - so stressful !

No I have to have bloods done tomorrow, and then again in a few days time to check hcg levels. Said I'm to early to scan.
I'm still bleeding when I go to the toilet but it's not like a period but trying to stay positive 🙈

Shiny88 · 23/10/2023 19:47

@RaisingCornishWildlings sorry to hear about your loss. My fingers are crossed for you. Sending baby dust your way ✨

SezP · 23/10/2023 19:51

Welcome! And wishing all the goods things for you and this pregnancy x

Suchardchoccy · 23/10/2023 20:34

Hello!

I've been testing positive since 12th October, lines progressing and got a dye stealer this morning.

I have no idea how far I am because I have only had one period since giving birth. But I will probably have an early scan and blood test to find out the sex for genetic reasons.

Good luck to everyone!

mamataylor · 23/10/2023 21:25

Due June 24?
Maybebaby54321 · 24/10/2023 10:33

Hi guys, I've been M.I.A for a bit, dealing with some serious morning sickness plus 4 children is the hardest thing I've ever done!!!
I had an appointment with my gp this morning as in Ireland they refer you to the hospital rather than self referral. And he said unlike every other time where Ive been seen at 12 weeks for the dating scan etc, they now don't see women until between 13 and 15 weeks!!!! Then they now do the 20 week scan at 22ish weeks. So I won't even get to see the baby until possibly 15 weeks!!!!

Catson · 24/10/2023 13:51

I'm only 4+2/3 or something like that... But anyone else getting so bloated so early on? Any tips for reduce it?

Gt1986 · 24/10/2023 15:10

Hi all, latecomer to the party! I had a 'period' 2 weeks ago but was super short so carried on as normal. Sat am woke up after a few drinks and a nice paella to need to be sick and was. I was nearly sick in the car to a hair appointment and at the hair appt (had to ask for the bin). Must have been a rich paella I said to my OH 😂 last night I notice super sense of smell. This am feeling sick again so test on a cheapy just before I leave for the office and yep, it's a BFP so bloody bright and showed up so fast.

According to my real LMP I'm just shy of 7 weeks. I had an MMC in May at 12 weeks. We weren't trying but we have been taking the supplements as a what will be will be.

I am 37 and have a bicornuate uterus which puts me at high risk. I was referred to a consultant in my prev PG.

Not going to lie, I'm bricking it!!!!

Please can the fb group be shared as the previous links aren't working for me. I found the previous group I was in super lovely and supportive !

Thanks for reading ❤️

cosymama2020 · 24/10/2023 15:56

@Catson ive had the most awful, uncomfortable bloat the last few days. Made a couple of changes to my diet and it’s improved loads today!

Had my booking in appointment today, so it’s all go now! Have some other medical complications so they think I’ll have another scan sooner than the 12 week dating scan. Feeling less anxious about miscarriage now which is nice but the fear will be there until I can feel little one kicking!

DanisEndo · 24/10/2023 16:32

@KMM87 I’ve already got the dates for my booking appointment and first scan!!! Only self referred last night!! I’m so excited.

has anyone ever done a private scan earlier than the 12 week one? Are they worth it??

Catson · 24/10/2023 16:45

What diet changes did you make @cosymama2020 ?

cosymama2020 · 24/10/2023 16:47

@Catson Nothing fried, no crisps, no rice cakes, no eggs and stopped big meals. So today I had bran flakes and honey, banana, pasta for lunch and avocado on a toasted bagel for a little early tea (will have a fruit salad later). So far I’m soooo much better even with the pasta for lunch!

Tentatively joining you lovely ladies. Got my BFP on day AF was due & I’m currently 4w 3d. This will be DC#3 for us ❤️

Good to see you over here too @Catson & @VixFromThe6ix

Good to see you over on this side!! Some familiar usernames :)

Had my first scan today ... 7+2 and saw a heartbeat which out my nerves at ease. Just waiting on a call from my doctor to confirm all is well.

@Senso21 hungover is exactly how I feel!!! Terrible terrible feeling. Im also super bloated. Two together are a shit combination. I feel hungry all the time as well but anything I eat only makes bloating worse. I haven't puked yet but this nausea like feeling lingers literally all day!!! I work from home and watch my toddler all day and all I want to do is escape somewhere where I can take a nap. I'm so tired. Dishes piling up, I haven't cooked in couple days. Everything is behind as I'm struggling through my day these days.

I have terrible bloating. It was bad with my son too. Nothing really helped me then. This time I got pregnancy probiotics and started today in hopes that maybe they help. I'm so uncomfortable all day I wanna cry

Catson · 24/10/2023 18:03

Thanks @cosymama2020, I maybe need to try and work out what's causing mine as I don't eat any of the foods you're now avoiding. I had granola at breakfast which was fine but a sandwich at lunch seemed too much
