Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

@mumsince2021 , your line progression looks good to me. HCG doubles every 48-72 hours and your bottom line is definitely darker so I think that it’s looking good for you xx

MsNeis · 17/10/2023 10:03

Congratulations to the new moms to be 💐

I'm having more nausea this week (6w3d according to my calculations) and it comes and goes... I don't feel like eating anything but I'm hungry. I'd eat only toasts of white bread and similar, but at the same time, eating that makes me bloated! Anyone in the same situation? How do you deal with it? I don't remember being so nauseated with my first pregnancy, so it's practically new to me! 😬

mumsince2021 · 17/10/2023 10:11

@MsNeis just regularly nibbling on bland things like cream crackers was all I could do in my last pregnancy to ease it. Empty stomach is the worst!

Thanks for the reassurance I think it's because with my son I just saw such obvious line progression every 2 days on the pink dye FRERs and having had 2 chemicals before the fear is there. It was also easier last time as I knew the exact ovulation date so knew how many DPO I was whereas this time I just don't know.

I'm actually in shock it happened as it took so long with my first to conceive and also we DTD literally once this cycle and sorry if TMI but the sperm would have been 2 weeks old as we hadn't done it for a fortnight so I really don't know why it's happened this month of all months 😂 it's impossible to DTD regularly with a toddler

If anyone has the Facebook group details could you PM me? Would love to join as it was so nice to have with my last pregnancy!

Dani46 · 17/10/2023 10:22

Hi everyone!
has anyone had there hcg checked? Mine has come back at 10,720 yesterday. Im 5w4d today. Got a scan at epu now Friday too, was hoping better then but just glad they have fit me in ☺️

Anrose · 17/10/2023 11:46

Hi guys due 17/6/24 baby #4 I have dd14, dd12, ds4

GeeinItLaldyX · 17/10/2023 11:48

Hi everyone! Can I can join the June 2024 crew? I got my BFP a week and a half ago and think I am around 4+5 from tracking ovulation, estimated due date 19/06 (My birthday haha).

I am struggling a little with the worry of a silent miscarriage. I have found I have had quite a few symptoms since just before testing positive (big sore boobs, pulling feeling in lower abdomen, gassy, night sweats, constipated, bloated) but have found this has eased off in the last few days other than the boobs and getting myself in knots thinking I may have miscarried. I want to go for an early scan but will wait till 7-8 weeks I think.

FoleyHuck · 17/10/2023 11:55

@MsNeis I've been exactly the same, ravenously hungry but not at all interested in food. I've been choosing the least unappealing or most familiar option - we're on holiday in Indonesia so that's been a challenge in itself not always having something familiar easily available - and oddly I've found that if I scroll MN / watch TV / read my kindle (sorry poor DH!) while I'm eating it's easier, like if my mind is elsewhere my stomach doesn't realise I'm eating.

I'm 7+3 now and touch wood the last two days haven't been quite as bad. I actually wanted to have a pizza last night, which is a definite improvement!

cosymama2020 · 17/10/2023 12:32

I’m 7+3 today too @FoleyHuck !

@MsNeis my nausea was so bad I’ve had to get medication for it. Couldn’t smell anything without gagging or wretching and it was taking over every minute of my day! Since I’m on the meds it’s got so much better!

My exhaustion is wild though and not ideal when working full time and have a toddler.

Have my booking in appointment yesterday, excited to be progressing and getting closer to the next scan ❤️

Bubblesandtroubles · 17/10/2023 12:35

@mumsince2021 can definitely see progress between those two lines!
Only symptoms for me so far are sore boobs, bad skin and tiredness. I had to eat constantly for first half of my previous pregnancy. I think I put a stone on in the first trimester. If I didn't have a biscuit or something dry and bland to hand I felt constantly sick! Going to force myself to swap biscuits and crackers for celery and carrots sticks if I get the same this time!
I'd definitely like to join the Facebook group but I waited til my 12 week scan last time and feels like I'm tempting fate if I don't do the same. 😩 So please don't forget me and let me join then! Xx

Sophleanne1 · 17/10/2023 15:59

Hi!

I'm currently 6+5 and I've been offered a flu & covid vaccine but I'm not sure if I want to take them....

Has only else had these whilst pregnant or offer any advice? If it's the right thing then I'll obviously have them but im so worried about this pregnancy anyway after my mmc in June...

I don't want anything to harm myself or baby!

Any advice?...

oop · 17/10/2023 16:13

@Sophleanne1 they wouldn't offer them to pregnant women if there was any risk at all - they have to be so careful. That's why they didn't initially offer the COVID vaccine to pregnant women, extra caution until they had enough trial results. So it will be absolutely fine to have them.
I had the COVID vaccine in my last pregnancy (literally as soon as they offered it to me) around 20 weeks and have zero regrets. It was absolutely fine and I took a lot of comfort from that protection. Would have had flu too if it was the right time of year for it!

CharlySwarles · 17/10/2023 18:04

@GeeinItLaldyX My symptoms eased off at 6 weeks and I had spotting. Contacted gp and got an early scan at the early pregnancy assessment unit. It showed a little heartbeat, so all good ATM.
The midwife said it's normal for symptoms to come and go in the early stages.
If you're worried, contact your GP or EPU (depending how it works where you live).
I'm starting to get some symptoms back now

LavenderJoy · 17/10/2023 19:18

Hi everyone, I'm 5+3 and have had some mild backache and pink spotting this evening (only when I wipe) do you think it's the start of bad news? I feel so down 😥 has anyone else had spotting at 5 weeks and had a good outcome? I had spotting a week after my embryo transfer but put that down to implantation bleeding.

Senso21 · 17/10/2023 19:31

@Sophleanne1 I’m 7 weeks today and just had my flu jab this evening. I was really hesitant, started a new thread about it on here too!
But I’m also immune compromised so I decided to get it done. Double checked with the nurse and she said it was safe for any stage of pregnancy. I know I had it before with my previous pregnancies but they were winter babies and I was quite far gone when the flu vaccine season began.

I'm not anti vax in the slightest, but I’m still not sure about the covid booster this early on, as I feel the vaccine isn’t as long standing as the flu one. But I will do some reading up on that and decide xx

mumsince2021 · 17/10/2023 19:49

I personally didn't have the covid vaccine with my pregnancy in 2021 but it was all so new at the time. I had the flu jab then though. I did have the covid vaccine later after having my baby. I've had covid recently and probably have some immunity still. It's tough to know as a lot of people have covid without any real issues but I know some people it hits worse. Entirely your own decision I'd say!

@LavenderJoy I've had 2 chemicals in the past and had bleeding around that time when it happened. On my third pregnancy I bled again at around that time and I was in tears thinking why is this happening again? But it turned out it was nothing to do with loss and was a successful pregnancy (he's 21 months now) so it's possible it's nothing bad. Just need to wait and hope🤞

itsmschanandlerbong · 17/10/2023 20:04

Hello @LavenderJoy fellow IVFer here! Huge congrats! I was testing non stop and just decided to stop testing on Saturday there when I would have been 5+5. I only got a 2-3 weeks on the week indicator test but it was making me so anxious thinking about more tests. This is our sibling round and I never got a 3+ with our boy and he's now 17 months old!

itsmschanandlerbong · 17/10/2023 20:09

@LavenderJoy sorry just catching up. A little spotting is so common! Phone your clinic tomorrow and see if they can do bloods or a scan for peace of mind but I've heard this is more common in IVF pregnancies.

itsmschanandlerbong · 17/10/2023 20:10

@Sophleanne1 I've had the covid and flu vaccine last week and I felt like it was safe and worth getting to offset the risk of catching covid or the flu.

Bubblesandtroubles · 17/10/2023 20:27

@Sophleanne1 I had both flu and COVID jabs in my first pregnancy. Found it comforting that I was hopefully minimising risk of complications had I got ill with either during pregnancy and also to set the baby up with some immunity when a new born. Absolutely has to be the decision you are comfortable with though. Xx

Sd183 · 17/10/2023 20:37

Hello, may I join? I’m 4+3 after FET TTC#1 following an ectopic in April after a fresh transfer. Have an early scan at 6+3 due to the previous ectopic. So nervous until then!! I had bleeding throughout my TTW with the ectopic, thankfully haven’t had that this time and my line progression is really strong so I’m cautiously optimistic for now. So far my symptoms are mostly sore boobs but that’s probably from my medication! My due date is 22/06/24 x

Anrose · 18/10/2023 09:07

Yes I was feeling same but boobs don't stay the same sore all through pregnancy only initially usually while your boobs grow they are probably slowwing down. Have you booked in with your GP?

LizzeyBenett · 18/10/2023 09:38

I'm 4 +3 and already bloated Its uncomfortable to close jeans that fit me 2 weeks ago , please tell me this bit doesn't last long because I look very pregnant and it will be very noticeable in work 😅

MsNeis · 18/10/2023 09:43

@LizzeyBenett I was thinking the same today! I'm very bloated and I want to keep the pregnancy to ourselves until the first scan 😬

RenewableNewt · 18/10/2023 09:57

Feeling pretty bloated here too at 4+5! I’m also hoping it gets less noticeable.

Is anyone else getting nosebleeds? Mine has been bleeding on and off since yesterday and apparently it could be to do with hormones increasing blood flow? It’s an unexpected symptom for me!
