Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

Feeling pretty bloated here too at 4+5! I’m also hoping it gets less noticeable.

Is anyone else getting nosebleeds? Mine has been bleeding on and off since yesterday and apparently it could be to do with hormones increasing blood flow? It’s an unexpected symptom for me!

I learned from my last pregnancy nose bleeds are quite common when pregnant

Spottybutterfly · 18/10/2023 10:27

I've been given my booking in appointment. I will be 8w+6d. It's a different midwife to my last pregnancy as they've had a move around surgeries. They also told me they have moved over to Badger Notes, I stead of paper notes.

Hope the Badger Notes app is better, most women who's hospitals used it during my last pregnancy said it was useless.

mumsince2021 · 18/10/2023 10:35

@Spottybutterfly I had absolutely no notes accessible to me in my 2021 pregnancy so I hope I at least get the badger app even if it's not great 😅

I'm not going to book in until I reach 6 weeks. I think some areas only register from that point? I still have chemical fear although my test this morning showed a stronger line so everything is fine so far.

I think my due date will be around the 25th June so I'm going to be one of the last.

I feel guilty for my son as his birthday is at Christmas so his sibling is going to have a much better one 😂

Spottybutterfly · 18/10/2023 11:15

@mumsince2021 was the lack of notes due to covid? Were they worried about passing it on through the notes? There was still some worry about that when I had my baby.

My daughter is a July baby, I'm kind of hoping this baby comes a week early. Then we would have a birthday in May, the. Mine in June, my daughters July the husband's August.

Bubblesandtroubles · 18/10/2023 12:04

I think I'm also going to wait a while til I book in. We just self refer here so I have the link etc ready to go but just can't bring myself to do it yet.
Our Trust is mid move to Badger I think which doesn't fill me with confidence that we will probably have loads of glitches as they get used to working with it!
By the NHS app and LMP we are due date twins @mumsince2021! But I think I ovulated a couple of days early so it might move.
My toddler has a mid December birthday so will probably be jealous in years to come too! Xx

Me too🙋🏻‍♀️ I had my BFP at 6DPO and am due with my first child on the 9th June 2024. All tips are welcome! X

KMM87 · 18/10/2023 13:37

Hey all 👋🏼 congratulations to everyone. I am due 21st June with my second.

DemelzaRobins · 18/10/2023 14:40

I'm 7+3 today. Due 2nd June. It's my third pregnancy and hopefully I will have my first baby at the end of it!

I had my first scan at 5+3 (due to previous ectopic) and my second scan today. Baby can now be seen and has a heartbeat which I got to see this morning. Hopefully this is a good sign!

Have had quite a bit of nausea, my hair is minging (both greasy and dry and frizzy at the same time) and I'm very gassy and shattered.

My hair is greasy but dry too, it's so odd.

Fingers crossed this pregnancy is successful

Dani46 · 18/10/2023 16:11

when did all your symptoms start properly? I’m 5w5d and having them on and off, boobs aren’t tender anymore. Getting stressed but I know it’s also nothing to worry about.
has anyone had like a sharp pain on their left side too? I sneezed earlier and I’m sure that’s what has caused it 😂

mumsince2021 · 18/10/2023 16:58

@Spottybutterfly I don't think so. The midwives would say "oh do you not have access? Oh it must not have been ready when you registered" 🙄 I kept asking for it but they said it wasn't possible. I also didn't see the same midwives once across all my appointments. The NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde maternity were a shambles 😅 hopefully it's improved this time!

@Bubblesandtroubles I ovulated early with my son (I know because I was doing BBT back then) and my cycles are short so I won't be surprised if they shift my due date from the calculators too. Have no idea when I ovulated this time

mumsince2021 · 18/10/2023 17:01

@Dani46 with my last pregnancy I didn't get any until about 7 weeks when a bit of nausea kicked in. Had no other symptoms until later trimesters when I got a trapped nerve in my thigh and restless legs etc so it's quite normal to have no symptoms early on.

Thank you! That has re assured me.
I had a mmc in July so everything that’s happening and symptoms just going triggers me, especially my boobs not being as tender 😕
but I need to remember it’s a new pregnancy also.
wish it was easier pregnancy after loss 😩

For those that are a bit further on, that have had previous losses are you having any additional scans through the NHS? I’ve been told by the midwives to ask my GP to be referred to EPU to see if they’ll see me, so have a phone call on Tuesday but I’m not sure what to expect.

I’m only 6 weeks on friday, but I have had 1 previous loss which was July. I called epu and they done blood work Monday to make sure my levels was over 2000, and now I have a scan on Friday which I’m not going to lie I’m dreading.
i just explained to epu what had happened and how I was feeling now. Hopefully you get seen too.

itsmschanandlerbong · 18/10/2023 21:41

Hello @mumsince2021 fellow Glaswegian here!

I phoned to book in too. I felt a little like I was jinxing things 🙈🙈 private scan booked for Sunday!

Agathapoirot · 19/10/2023 04:35

@Dani46 - Thank you, I hope everything is exactly as it should be on Friday for you. Totally natural to feel that way after the experience you’ve had.

I had a loss too in July and I’m a bit numb to this pregnancy so far. Can’t seem to allow myself to get excited. I’m only 4+5 at the moment so still very early days, felt wrong to be calling the midwives so early, but wanted to get the ball rolling in case there was anything extra that could be done!

Tefiti3 · 19/10/2023 09:04

@Agathapoirot I am 7+4 and have an early scan next week due to previous early losses. It was offered to me automatically when self referring for booking in.

Dani46 · 19/10/2023 11:17

@Agathapoirot I filled the form in also for the midwife as soon as I found out. I’ve been given 5mg folic acid which I’m taking with my prenatal and also 75mg aspirin too every day.
Im so nervous about the scan tomorrow, I do hope it all goes well. I just need to get past maybe 9 weeks then I will be ok ish.
keep me updated xx

mumsince2021 · 19/10/2023 12:20

Is anyone still testing? I got 2-3 weeks on a digital today I'm guessing I'm about 18 DPO. Might get another for after 21 DPO to see if it's 3+. I hate this testing stage!

Ahh @itsmschanandlerbong good to see another Glaswegian here! Which hospital will you be with? I'll be the Princess Royal I think. Not going to call up until I'm 6 weeks so a week and a half away I think.

Good luck with the scan tomorrow @Dani46 hopefully it will all be good and you can relax a little!

Dani46 · 19/10/2023 12:33

Thank you @mumsince2021 I’m hoping so 🤞🤞

I was offered two early scans. One at 5+3 to check the pregnancy wasn't another ectopic and a viability scan at 7+3 yesterday. Both were internal scans, both have been very reassuring and I'm glad to have had them.

Had two previous losses - ectopic in October 2022 and a miscarriage in May.

GeeinItLaldyX · 19/10/2023 15:03

@itsmschanandlerbong @mumsince2021

Im a weegie too! :) I have picked the Queen Elizabeth as I live in Southside. First midwife appointment is Nov 15th at the Victoria and the 6th Dec for scan at Queen Elizabeth! 😬

Wheeeeee · 19/10/2023 15:19

Another Glasgow resident here. It's my adopted home as I'm from down south originally, but even with today's weather I would be anywhere else 😁 @itsmschanandlerbong @mumsince2021 @GeeinItLaldyX

Having a bright red bleed today at 4+5 and now terrified I’m on my way to another loss 😢 why is this so hard?!
