Ah @CheeseAndCrackersx you're the same due date as me 😀

Aw yay 🥰

Do you know the sex yet? 2 weeks Thursday til I know, I didn't want an early scan x

Gardenfingers23 · 12/09/2023 18:37

I’m also experiencing lots of sharp pains and twinges this week and finding it impossible to sleep as my lower back is giving me so much grief. Has anyone invested in pregnancy back supports or anything? I broke my back 3 years ago and I’m worried that it’s not as strong as it needs to be and will only get worse as the baby gets bigger!!!

Sunshineclouds11 · 12/09/2023 18:54

@mummylove24 pleased you ok! It's so painful.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 12/09/2023 19:36

@Gardenfingers23 my cousin is a physio and said the pelvic girdle pregnancy belts are really good for back or pelvic pain as they just provide that support and redistribute the weight a bit. There are some recommended in this article, depending on what you need more help with www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/kids/best-pragnancy-support-belt-b2072082.html

mummylove24 · 12/09/2023 19:39

@Sunshineclouds11 thanks hun 💖

@Gardenfingers23 I’ve had lower back issues before as well, I might need to look into those back supports too x

Ebonythoughts · 12/09/2023 19:42

Has anyone else been told they have a low lying placenta and their bump growing low? I feel like my bump is growing all over my belly but above my pubic bone feels really firm and heavy. It makes it super uncomfortable to sleep and even bend down.

Gardenfingers23 · 12/09/2023 20:33

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thanks, funnily enough I was reading that same article earlier. Annoying they don’t say you can wear them at night which is when the pain happens but I guess if I wore it in the day it might reduce the discomfort at night?! I’ve just invested in another pregnancy pillar too, this time a U shaped one to see if that helps as my one is just a straight long one

CharXo · 12/09/2023 20:52

Hi ladies I hope you don’t mind me joining .. I’ve been a silent watcher over the last few weeks! Baby no3 due 14th Feb and I’m really struggling this time around with my hormones. I’m usually chilled, relaxed & calm but this time I am all over the place. I feel like I’m constantly snapping at everyone, I have waves of being really emotional for no apparent reason at all and I have very little patience. The dreams are absolutely WILD too. Really vivid and weird! Is anyone else feeling like this 😔 I feel drained from being so up and down all the time.

Shrillwaffle · 12/09/2023 21:43

@CharXo welcome and congrats! Valentines baby how cute ☺️ I’m 19 weeks due 4th feb. I think we’re probably all like that atm honestly, I have MH issues and stuff like that so all my emotions are exacerbated even more than usual 😅 wish you all the best!!

mummylove24 · 13/09/2023 03:51

Congrats 💖💙@CharXo I’m the complete opposite 😂 baby has chilled me out completely, things that used to bother me I just don’t care anymore, however the dreams!!! It’s 3am now I woke up from a really vivid weird dream, 🥴 can’t get back to sleep. And every night since I became pregnant I’ve dreamt I even keep a dream diary now x

Musicalitymum · 13/09/2023 07:12

@CheeseAndCrackersx we don’t know yet, finding out on the 22nd x

Clueless13 · 13/09/2023 09:52

Hi ladies, I’ve been feeling slight bubbles/pops quite regularly almost everyday last week but it’s been about 4 days where I’ve felt nothing. I am 17 weeks and it’s my first pregnancy so I’ve a lot of anxiety and keep looking at every little symptom! - is this normal?? 😓

my nausea has also gone down, which I’m glad about but it’s just making me more anxious

Shrillwaffle · 13/09/2023 10:31

@Clueless13 I wouldn’t worry im 19 weeks and can feel movement I wouldn’t say regularly though although they seem to be most active in the evening and nausea and stuff will fade at this point (but can also return as I feel this morning 😅)

Clueless13 · 13/09/2023 10:38

@Shrillwaffle I've noticed it was more in the evenings, particularly when I was laying on my side! But I’ve had nothing for the last few days so have been a little stressed, I’ve nothing to compare it to as first time pregnancy, so wasn’t sure if it was normal to not feel anything at all for days!

Ah hope you’re not feeling too rough! xx

Shrillwaffle · 13/09/2023 10:43

@Clueless13 i think when it comes to movement every pregnancy is different. They say with a first pregnancy it’s normal to not feel any movement at all until at least 20 weeks. If you have any concerns go for a check up, if anything it’ll put your mind at ease. I was pregnant before but lost late on and I felt her movements strong and semi regular from 18 weeks but now I’m 19 weeks pregnant and I’d say the movement aren’t the same as my last pregnancy, not as strong or regular but I know they’re there if that makes sense? I have a Doppler which I use to check the heartbeat I’m probably over using it but it keeps my anxiety down

Kelb79 · 13/09/2023 10:48

@Clueless13 ive had the same thing! I’m 17 weeks tomorrow and felt definite movement last week with sone less definite sensations before that. But I haven’t really noticed it this week, at least nothing as certain 😕
I’m still nauseous as hell though and quite often sick (although a little less thank god)
everything makes me anxious 😵‍💫 but my bump is definitely growing so im holding onto that and I’ve got midwife appointment today so I’ll let you know what she’s says about it 👌🏼

CheeseAndCrackersx · 13/09/2023 10:51

Heard heartbeat again today. Baby was slightly higher up in tummy today so defo on the move and growing 😄

DP wasn't with able to come with me last week so the midwife said I could have another appointment this week just so he could hear it in person cos on a recording it's just not the same 🥰

Can't wait for the scan now. 2 weeks to go 🥹

Nemo145 · 13/09/2023 11:45

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Just taking thing’s minute by minute and accepting all the support that’s been offered.

Trying to focus on keeping this baby safe.

Has anyone had the covid booster in pregnancy? I’ve booked my flu jab but I’m a bit on the fence about the covid one.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/09/2023 12:14

@Nemo145 I had two Covid jabs in my first pregnancy. Haven't been offered one in this pregnancy yet. But I had covid three months ago so I probably have some immunity

Clueless13 · 13/09/2023 12:41

@Shrillwaffle oh I’m sorry about your previous loss❤️
I just find they make you feel a little silly for ringing up if you’re worried about something and you don’t have a bleed or excruciating pain, anything other than that they’re a bit like “well why are you wanting to be seen?” And they don’t bother doing an ultrasound

Gardenfingers23 · 13/09/2023 13:01

@Nemo145 not been offered the covid jab - or the flu - but I’m currently sat here with covid so hopefully will have good immunity going into winter. Had it about a week and just full of cold but otherwise (touch wood) haven’t suffered too badly. Annoyingly it did mean I had to push my midwife appointment back to next week but hopefully that doesn’t really matter.

perhaps if you haven’t had it recently it’s worth getting a jab?

User0224 · 13/09/2023 13:16

I’d recommend anyone get the booster after what I went through 2 weeks ago to be honest. Was very scary, my body didn’t get on with covid at all!

LavenderSweetPea · 13/09/2023 17:34

I'd quite like the booster personally. I've not had either COVID or a vaccination in the last 2 years so my immunity probably isn't great. I know pregnant women are going to be eligible for the vaccine but I don't understand how we'll actually be contacted to book, or will the midwife book it for you?

On baby movements, this is my first but currently I don't know if I'm feeling anything or not. I think I feel some bubbling maybe but I wonder if it's digestive because my clothes are getting a bit tight!

DmcinT · 13/09/2023 17:48

My GP booked me in yesterday for both the covid and flu vaccines in 4 weeks time. There’s another one then I’ll get the week after, can’t rem what she said it was but it tops up one we had as wains (maybe measles, mumps or rubella) she mentioned they aren’t so worried about us (the mum) getting covid/ flus etc.. the vaccine crosses the placenta so gives the baby immunity for their first few weeks of life (I never knew this so found that interesting)

@Nemo145 just wanted to say I’m thinking on u daily and sending strength and love. Ur right to take all help offered x

CheeseAndCrackersx · 13/09/2023 18:23

I've only had the flu and whooping cough jabs mentioned at my 1st midwife appointment.

I'm not having the flu 1 but am the other.
