I am incredibly sorry @Nemo145 ❤️

My heart is with you x

Foreverhoping33 · 11/09/2023 14:24

I am so so sorry to hear your update @Nemo145 what a terrible tragedy and must be such a shock!!

i agree that people often do not know what to say in situations like these and therefore can say the wrong or unhelpful things. Hopefully you will have lots of practical and emotional support around you to support.

sending lots of love. Xxxxx

mummylove24 · 11/09/2023 14:56

I’m so sorry @Nemo145 💔

mummylove24 · 11/09/2023 15:04

@Shrillwaffle @Mangotango39 @Sunshineclouds11 me too! Been having stomach aches/cramps since yesterday 😩, texted my midwife she said it’s “normal” as ligaments are stretching etc. I’m 16 weeks but I’m giving it another hour, then I’ll leave early and go get checked out, I can’t even concentrate at work 😖

Shrillwaffle · 11/09/2023 15:42

@mummylove24 mine lasted for a few hours it was late though and when I woke up I felt a lot better. A did a heat bag in the microwave and that helped too even though it’s boiling af the weather atm

User0224 · 11/09/2023 16:31

Also been mega crampy today, more so than I remember in my previous pregnancy. 16 weeks tomorrow. Hopefully just ligaments.

Sunshineclouds11 · 11/09/2023 16:36

@mummylove24 honestly mine were so painful and lasted all day.

Hankthehonk · 11/09/2023 16:45

We had a private scan this morning at 16w3d and we're having a boy! 💙 As predicted by nub techs and nub queens. Really excited, and super happy and relieved to see him wriggling away and thriving. We have a three year old daughter already - she isn't totally thrilled about having a brother but we have a while yet to win her over to the idea....

mummylove24 · 11/09/2023 16:46

It’s eased up now, similar to what @Shrillwaffle said, midwife suggested a warm bath (but in this heat 😅) I’m almost home gonna try @User0224 I hope so too. @Sunshineclouds11 😩 it’s worrying, I’m used to a hour or so here and there but not all day x

Tilly18101 · 11/09/2023 16:48

@Nemo145 im just catching up on the thread, I am so sorry to hear your news. That’s absolutely tragic, I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending you so much love right now.

Sunshineclouds11 · 11/09/2023 17:07

@Hankthehonk Congrats 💙 I've loved having a boy!
My sons the same regarding his sister 😂 he's telling people she's a boy 🙃

Mummapenguin20 · 11/09/2023 17:09

I still have a month till my next scan 😔 so eager to find out lol xx

@Hankthehonk huge congrats 🥳💙 it’s so lovely to be able to say he🥰 have u told many ppl yet?
im quite high risk obviously with the surgery and all but I haven’t gone more than a week between scans since 8 weeks, it’s a lot but it is reassuring every week to just see her and know all is ok. @Mummapenguin20 Would u go for a private scan before Oct if it’s too hard to wait?

Mummapenguin20 · 11/09/2023 17:46

@DmcinT i would be at private scans weekly with my anxiety so dp has put a hard no unless needed xx

Clueless13 · 11/09/2023 18:18

My husband and I had a private scan yesterday to find out the gender, we asked for it to be put in an envelope so we can open it privately, just the two of us. Anyone got any intimate gender reveal ideas - also how would I pull it off since neither of us know the gender and want to find out together😂

CheeseAndCrackersx · 11/09/2023 18:37

I agree with the aches and pains. I asked my midwife about it this morning cos yesterday & today I've woken up with an aching bump and yes I think it's cos bump is now very much on show and growing, same with sore boobs. All happening now 😀
18 weeks tomorrow 🥰

DmcinT · 11/09/2023 21:56

Ah I get ya @Mummapenguin20 & you’d be out a fortune. hope the next few weeks fly in for u now❤️

@Clueless13 you could do the balloon, cannon or cake that u cut if u know anywhere near u that does these. U give in the envelope to them, they look and make it up accordingly. We did the balloon, just us, and it was lovely, I recorded it too so love watching it back 🥰

novamama · 11/09/2023 22:59

I'm so glad to find you all again, I felt so lonely with no messages since I could not find this thread at all.

@Nemo145 oh my, no words of sorrow I can say to make it justice, and I cannot even slightly imagine how awful it must be right now, but I just want to send all my love in this universe, to pour some strength and send you the power to go one second, then one minute, then one hour, one day, one week, one month and how long you need until you find your centre again - step by step, little by little, with the smallest bit but, forward.

MrsW9 · 12/09/2023 00:11

Nemo, I'm so so sorry to read your update. Thinking of you and hoping you have support around you at this time.

Musicalitymum · 12/09/2023 09:05

Ah @CheeseAndCrackersx you're the same due date as me 😀

Musicalitymum · 12/09/2023 09:08

@Nemo145 Im so sorry for your loss. I hope you have lots of loving support around you xx

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 12/09/2023 09:24

@Nemo145 so sorry for your loss. If ever you need to talk, I'm here for you 💕

undercoverhero74 · 12/09/2023 10:44

I had my 16 week app today and my trust uses a Doppler. Midwife was able to find heartbeat immediately and it was so so lovely hearing it beating away.
We have a private scan on Saturday to find out the gender. We are taking our 4yr old along too which will be extra special.
I now believe this is actually happening and it's all so exciting.
Anyone else feeling that little bit more relaxed after the 16 week mark?

mummylove24 · 12/09/2023 14:56

So update….
My stomach pains returned with a vengeance last night after the warm bath, it kept me up at night and this morning I couldn’t stand up straight (or think straight!!). My Midwife said go to maternity unit in hospital, I was seen fairly quickly to rule out anything UTI etc. consultant said it is the Round Ligament pain, it’s like severe period cramps on one side, I was squatting, bending over the bed, couldn’t lie down in triage, the sharp pain comes in waves every 10 minutes or so. Main thing baby’s is fine heartbeat was normal on the Doppler, thank God. I’ve been told to take paracetamol for now and sent home.

Also they didn’t scan me, I’m thinking to go and do it privately a wellness check and also find out the gender, cos curiosity is killing me 😂 I’ve resorted to calling baby “her” I just don’t like saying “it” 🤭
