How are you both getting on cervix wise?
Ive just been for my second cervical scan and it’s gone down to 2.6cm, it was 3.4cm 18 days ago. I have to go back next week for another and then it’s looking like I will potentially need a stitch. Just another thing to worry about.

I haven't got another scan until next Friday. It was 3.4 I think before and it'll be a 4 week gap between scans. They have me on one a day progesterone though in the meantime. Tbh I'm kind of freaking out a bit about having such a big gap between scans as things can change rapidly.

@LavenderSweetPea im on progesterone too so I was kind of hoping for a better length. I guess I’ll just have to see what it measures next week

I have to wait until next month to find out what we're having, the second scan is only at 20 weeks here and there's nowhere close by to get a private one. I can't wait to find out so we can name them!

@Nemo145 oh I’m sorry to hear it’s shortened, did they say what the threshold is that they won’t let u go below?
i have had a number of surgeries on my cervix but more worrying for them on my cervical canal where parts have been removed so that’s why I had the cervical switch. I was measuring 2.8 the week I had it put in and they won’t measure it again now for another 2 weeks as nothing can go into the vagina for a month after the surgery.

if there are any Qs or anything at all u want to ask about the surgery/epidural/ recovery etc.. ask away ❤️ I couldn’t find anyone to ask before I had mine done and I’d so many Qs x

@DmcinT She said they don’t like it to be below 2.5cm.
She said it can vary and may be slightly longer next week and that the progesterone will help.
Did they suggest to you how far a pregnancy can progress with the stitch?
what I’ve read says some ppl get to 37 weeks while for others it may only add another 5 weeks on.

Feeling rather emotional today. And I haven't a clue why. Maybe overtired cos I didn't sleep the best cos I either couldn't get comfortable or I did finally nod off then I woke for a wee and then took ages to nod off again.

Really struggling to not sleep on my tummy also cos it makes my bump aches worse if I do.

@Nemo145 they did say that I can still go into labour even with the stitch in🙈 but it’s a lot less likely. They will take me in at 36 weeks and remove the stitch; with the added pressure most women go themselves then within a few days then so our little girl will prob be born around 37 weeks 🤞🏽 (Hoping I get that far)

keeping everything crossed for u that u stay above 2.5 but I’m hear if u want to ask anything incase u need it done ❤️

I do read the thread but don’t get much chance to reply, I’m just so busy at the min. Working/toddler/social life etc - been told I have PGP at just 20 weeks so trying to find a balance of rest and mobility that won’t aggravate it further but I’m so worried it’s going to get really bad before it gets better!

@Nemo145 so sorry you’re going through these short cervix worries, I don’t know anything about it so have nothing to add but I’m thinking of you!

Random question; where are you ladies feeling the top of your uterus is?

I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and I honestly feel mines above my belly button already, as that's where the hard rounded off lump now is.

20 week scan today. All good with the baby and this is the first of 3 pregnancies that I don’t need to go back for a scan in the third trimester but my scan picture is awful. It’s just a blur and I’m gutted
