I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

Six months. I couldn't wait 😂 I was bored out of my mind.

TheBirdintheCave · 08/10/2023 21:06

Oh weird. I posted that on a different thread! Not sure why it ended up here 😂 Ignore!

newbie2788 · 09/10/2023 09:38

Is anyone else getting cramping? Not like painful cramping but I just keep thinking I need the loo and then it turns out it's that sort of mild crampy feeling? I'm 8w3d x

Twinkles18 · 09/10/2023 10:44

@newbie2788 im getting the same! Nerves will be wrecked holding out for the next few weeks until 12 week scan. Hope you’re feeling ok x

newbie2788 · 09/10/2023 10:54

Thanks @Twinkles18 I think they say it's everything stretching/moving around. When is your twelve week scan? I had an early reassurance scan a couple of days ago that was definitely worth it xxx

Twinkles18 · 09/10/2023 11:01

@newbie2788 i haven’t got a date yet but I’m 8+2 today so hopefully soon enough.

I had one too but turned out I was earlier than I thought due to late ovulation so was too early for a heartbeat but everything was there that should’ve been. I have terrible sickness atm so I’m just gonna try hold out on booking another scan and paying a fortune lol

Sa11yCinnamon · 09/10/2023 11:32

Hey everyone, hope you're all ok!

Had a pretty stressful weekend, woke up bleeding on Saturday and immediately thought the worst. Called the EPU and had a scan booked for Sunday afternoon. The bleeding gradually stopped and I convinced myself everything was ok, only for it to start again overnight into Sunday.

Anyway, had my scan yesterday afternoon and saw a baby in the right place with a strong heartbeat, and only measuring a day off what I thought (6+6 and I thought 7). I have a heart shaped womb which unfortunately means bleeding could continue throughout, and the baby will more likely be breech and need a section (that part doesn't bother me as long as they're healthy, and I can prepare!).

The sense of relief is just indescribable!! And the upside is I'll have extra scans and monitoring, next one at 10 weeks 😊

PeppedUp · 09/10/2023 12:45

@Sa11yCinnamon what a relief after all that - glad it all turned out okay. That's such a bonus to have extra scans!

IVFAlone · 09/10/2023 12:53

Hey! How's everyone doing on this slightly sunny Monday? I am 8+4 today and still feeling mildly nauseous but also feeling like no matter how much I eat, I'm never full.

Still feeling a bit like an imposter and hard to believe I have a baby inside me and that I'll actually for the first time get to make an announcement, probably because I don't have crazy symptoms! How is everyone feeling? Symptoms or not?

TheBirdintheCave · 09/10/2023 13:15

@IVFAlone Just so, so ill. About to try and brush my teeth but will likely throw up 😭I have another scan on Weds as I had a tiny bit of spotting on Saturday night and the EPU said in light of my previous miscarriages they'd scan me again.

TheBirdintheCave · 09/10/2023 13:16

@Sa11yCinnamon Glad everything was ok! :D

I couldn’t relate to this message more!

Allthingspeaches · 09/10/2023 13:32

Just got back from the EPU. Saw baby with a strong heartbeat and been told I'm 6+5 so due end of May.

My symptoms went away last week which is always nice and worrying at the same time. They returned yesterday and today with disgusting nausea. I'm so bloated the thought of jeans right now is awful. But I'm so happy because of the scan that I can take the symptoms (might not be saying that tonight at bath and bedtime with the DCs!)

So good that they found the cause so you don't have to worry!

Tired Good Night GIF by Max

Honestly one of my biggest struggles atm is coping at work. I’m self employed, i’m used to having a pretty intense work load but I’m realising I just cannot go at the same pace anymore. It’s all piling up and I’m finding it so frustrating. Haven’t had a day off in weeks and I’m desperate for one now. A couple more days of slogging to do but then I’m scheduling a day in BED!

Absolutely spot on! Some days I have very little symptoms and it does worry me. 9w and have my booking in appointment in a week and a bit.

Had a rough Thu-Sat but the last 2 days have been less nauseous which I’m glad off but also not, would actually be happy to be sick as stupid as that sounds! Nearly always feel hungry and been eating enough bread to start a bakers 😂

I have had a metallic taste the last 2 mornings which is new and I’ve stopped wearing a liner so I can see the CM as a symptom of pregnancy as that gives a minor reassurance when my other symptoms aren’t as strong.

I do wonder if this is as bad as it will get with the placenta starting to develop, just feels so long until the 12w scan!

Emmacb82 · 09/10/2023 16:55

Hey all, I did post earlier in the thread and then took a bit of a break as was a bit overwhelmed by everything. I’m 41 and this is baby number 3 which has taken me completely by surprise, I thought my little family was complete and it’s taken me a few weeks to try and get my head round everything. I’ve felt so guilty for feeling like this as I know others are desperate to be in this position but it’s been a big shock.
Anyway I’m 8+3 today and starting to feel a little bit calmer. Am also in the nauseous but eating everything in sight club! Got my booking in appt next week and looking forward to a scan. Hope everyone else is well.

Meggan123 · 09/10/2023 18:36

First scan today at 8+2 went well, measuring on track with a little heartbeat flickering away! So relieved and so grateful!! Due date 18th May 🥰

Due May 2024?
Meggan123 · 09/10/2023 18:47

I also was a little concerned about lack of symptoms, haven’t felt particularly pregnant or off except for a few cravings and very very mild nausea if I haven’t eaten for a few hours (which I think I get anyway even when I’m not pregnant) so all in all I have felt pretty normal!! so I think that can just be normal for some people!

Judethepud · 09/10/2023 19:39

Congrats @Meggan123 :) I had my scan on Thursday when I was 7+4, measuring exactly that and saw a wee heartbeat too. Scan said I was due 19th May! It was so lovely having the scan.
I haven't had my NHS app yet and I'm tempted to book another one for around 10 weeks.
I'm feeling pretty crap, nauseous all day and feel like I've been hit by a bus every morning, struggling to get out of bed and go to work and I work from home so no excuse lol

Judethepud · 09/10/2023 19:42

Have people told their family/friends yet? After my scan my husband was so keen to tell his family so we agreed to tell our immediate family but I feel a bit nervous and regretful that I've told them too early, would hate for them all to get excited and then something awful happens.

Meggan123 · 09/10/2023 19:57

@Judethepud awww congrats! Feels so good to have had a scan now doesn’t it, starts feeling real! I am so worried about jinxing it but want to tell the world also 😂 I have told my sister and one close friend. I live abroad and my parents are visiting in 10 days so we are ringing his parents and telling them that morning and telling mine when they arrive as felt it would be unfair to not tell them both the same day. Then think I’ll wait until 12 weeks to tell everybody else!! But it really is up to you! If I lived in UK I would prob tell people sooner as I’m a big gob 😂

TheBirdintheCave · 09/10/2023 20:19

@Judethepud I just work in bed these days 😅

We agreed to wait until after first scan, just unlike most on here our first scan is the 12 week scan

PeppedUp · 09/10/2023 22:43

I’d prefer not to tell anyone until I get the all clear at the 12 week scan, but am going on holiday next week with some extended family and feel like it is going to be obvious if I’m not drinking coffee or wine. Has anyone else been in the same situation and if so what did you do??
