I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

Oh poor you @Twdfn123 Mine is slowly fading now but 7/8 weeks were just awful for me. I’m only just at 9 weeks now (when the NHS says it’s meant to peak for a lot of people) but do feel a tiny bit better. I’m not counting my chickens yet but I have felt less nauseated today and it feels like being on holiday after weeks of misery! Mine started at 3 weeks and I got a really advanced clear blue result really early on (when I’m certain of my dates) so think my HCG has been through the roof. Hold on in there.

How’s everyone doing. After a very difficult week, I have been diagnosed with hyperemsis and taken off work for 2 weeks …

nh93 · 03/10/2023 19:30

Hello ladies - just an update i had my scan today after not seeing anything last 2 scans they pushed me back to 6 weeks, sac & yolk sac was seen today but no embryo :/
Really thought today would be the day -
i am booked in 2 weeks for another scan but if no sign of baby then they said it's most
likely a miscarriage

it's so strange as i have all the symptoms and my nausea has come in full swing just like my last 2 pregnancies. Going to be a very long 2 weeks but hope the wait is worth it
Just trying to be positive and i guess whatever will be,will be..

Anyone else going or went through something similar? would love to hear others experiences x

@LBNM19 also so sorry for your loss, he will always be a apart of you and your family ❤️

so sorry to hear you have HG,
i can't imagine what that must be like x

rachlive · 03/10/2023 20:03

@nh93 I am sorry to hear that. Did they do an internal scan? How many weeks do you think you are today. Was it an internal scan? Everything crossed for your scan in two weeks xx

rachlive · 03/10/2023 20:05

@BVsMum ergh that must be awful, does medication help at all? I haven’t felt much sickness except that I have a bad cold so that’s making me feel nauseous. X

according to my last period i'm meant to be 7+3
this was my 3rd scan (i had bad period pains so went to early pregnancy unit)
they pushed me back to 5 weeks at the 2nd scan, i'm assuming im now 6 weeks and hopefully a little too early to see the baby x

BVsMum · 03/10/2023 21:57

I can’t even begin to describe. Wouldn’t wish it on no one.

BVsMum · 03/10/2023 21:58

Hope it does. I’m waiting for it to arrive tomorrow as the pharmacy did not have it in stock today. Sorry about your cold. Just make sure to keep hydrated

Hello all,

Im due May 17th 2024, I hope you don’t mind me joining your thread. I’m looking for a little bit of advice - my midwife has booked me in for my Covid jab this week due to the spike in cases. Is anyone else thinking of having it? I’m so undecided!

winterbabyrose · 04/10/2023 09:22

Hey ladies, I am not sure if this is normal or not, as I never had it with my DD, but I am about 6 weeks pregnant with #2 and now and again I get a weird twinge/discomfort pain just below my ribs. Its sometimes on the left or the middle, but mainly on the right hand side. Dr google is telling me that pain can indicate pre-eclampsia but isn't usually until the second trimester.

It's not unbearable, or constant. I know everything is stretching and pulling down there, but its the location that I find odd. I didn't have pre-eclampsia in my first pregnancy or have high BP in general, my BP is usually on the lower end of average.

Not really sure what I am asking, other than I guess if anyone knows what this is or has had it before? Not due to see the midwife until the booking appointment in two weeks time.

Rusticanella · 04/10/2023 09:23

@winterbabyrose can you not just take your blood pressure? I think most chemists will do it.

TheBirdintheCave · 04/10/2023 09:23

@Sophie721 I'm not having it, no, just the flu jab.

winterbabyrose · 04/10/2023 09:24

@Rusticanella I've ordered a home BP monitor coming by amazon later today, as the anxiety about it was high last night lol. Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar.

Sophie721 · 04/10/2023 09:32

I went for (what I thought) was a 6 week scan and they couldn’t see anything. Went back a week later and there was the sac and yolk, 10 days later there was a heartbeat. It turns out I’d ovulated late in the month and it was just too early to see at the first few scans. Keeping everything crossed you have the same outcome. ❤️

I'm having mine next week, got the appointment unrelated to pregnancy due to an underlying condition.

Sa11yCinnamon · 04/10/2023 09:52

@BVsMum so sorry you're dealing with HG, cannot imagine how rough it must be :(

@nh93 keeping everything crossed for you xx

Thank you for responding. Do you mind if I ask how many weeks you are and if you’re anxious about it at all?

Sa11yCinnamon · 04/10/2023 10:41

I'm 6+3 and having it a week today so will be 7+3, and not anxious at all. The NHS says it's safe and recommended from a few weeks, plus one of my best friends is a microbiologist who's worked in vaccine development and clinical trials, and also has a one year old and I had a chat with her about it.

Completely get that it's a personal decision for everyone but for me it's a no-brainer.

Snowdrop79 · 04/10/2023 12:29

Hey everyone,
lovely hearing about all your scan updates. At the same time I’m sorry about those whose stories didn’t turn out as we all had hoped🌸

I have my first ultrasound tomorrow at 7+5, it’s been my mini target on the horizon to aim for since 4 weeks when I saw my GP (she recommended not for me to go for one earlier). Now it’s tomorrow I’m getting a little upset as my only experience previously was in my last pregnancy, my first and only ultrasound showed a miscarriage. I worry that I will have the scan and it will be something upsetting/bad news. Just felt I needed to share my worries.

nh93 · 04/10/2023 12:31

@Sa11yCinnamon @Sophie721 thank you ❤️

Judethepud · 04/10/2023 12:34

@Snowdrop79 I'm in the exact same boat. Have my first ultrasound tomorrow at 7+4, I'm excited but very anxious. I've only had 2 ultrasounds previously and one diagnosed a potential miscarriage and the other confirmed so very nervous about this one.
Equally feeling hopeful and trying to be positive, I feel like total crap atm struggling to work right now my pregnancy symptoms are so bad, I didn't have this last time so it's giving me hope.

Snowdrop79 · 04/10/2023 12:39

@Judethepud I'm sorry you’re not feeling the best. But yes the symptoms hopefully mean good things. I have less symptoms than with my miscarriage but I’m also somewhat positive this pregnancy will have a good outcome. I keep thinking that the odds are in our favour and we will have good scans tomorrow!

Judethepud · 04/10/2023 13:01

@Snowdrop79 the odds are definitely in our favour :) feeling positive for us both, hope tomorrow goes really well for you.
