I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

Hi all. Congrats to all. Hoping to join in on this thread. I have been reading up and funny how many have Taylor tickets 😂 I'm sure you can all still get to go🤞 ... I tested positive on 2 tests Friday and 3 tests on Saturday.

First pregnancy, trying for almost 2 years. No symptoms except cramping for over a week now. I was convinced my period was coming. They seem to be getting a bit less now. They do worry me a bit but trying to put it to the back of my mind as don't want to over worry. Reading that @LondonGirl1992 and @Laura96 have the same is re assuring.

Congrats to all xxx

Judethepud · 17/09/2023 19:46

Congrats @miamiamia869 I had serious cramps around when my period was due too, had already tested positive and was terrified but they really eased up after a few days and have totally gone now at 5 weeks :) it must just be a thing.

Meggan123 · 17/09/2023 20:11

@miamiamia869 congrats to you!! I also had period like cramps from 9dpo up until around 15dpo, was convinced it was AF!! But have now settled!! Try not yo worry!

Allthingspeaches · 18/09/2023 04:15

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to all 🥰.

I tested positive on Saturday with quite a strong line. Clear blue says 1-2 weeks but have super irregular cycles (tested positive on day 90) so no clue how many days PO I am.

Symptoms wise I'm bloated, a little nauseous and tired and I had a really vivid dream the night before I tested which is something I've experienced with my other pregnancies.

Quietly excited to be on the journey but just hoping it sticks.

LondonGirl1992 · 18/09/2023 07:50

Hey guys,

Question- the first day of my last period was 6 weeks ago today on August 7th. However, I didn’t ovulate until around September 1st. I’m therefore confused how far along I am? Am I 6 weeks according to the NHS or 4 weeks going by ovulation?

ash98 · 18/09/2023 07:52

@LondonGirl1992 Hey I usually ovulate later in my cycle so I always calculate going by my ovulation date then add 2 weeks on. Not sure if I'm right by doing that but it's worked for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

TheBirdintheCave · 18/09/2023 08:03

@LondonGirl1992 Four weeks. Always go by your O date if you know it or all scan dates will be off.

Nina7 · 18/09/2023 09:48

Hi all👋

Also hoping to join the thread! First pregnancy, had a CP before...

@LondonGirl1992 , we're very close, I ovulated on the 2/9.
I'm also confused about weeks...

It's been 4 weeks and 5 days since my last period (and 2 weeks +1 day since ovulation) Does that make me week 4 or week 5?

I like watching the videos of what is happening to the embryo right now so I don't want to be on the wrong page😅
(I also can't wait for the risk of CP to go away at the end of week 5...)

TheBirdintheCave · 18/09/2023 09:55

@Nina7 If you ovulated on the 2nd then you're 4+2 today so week 4.

miamiamia869 · 18/09/2023 10:07

@LondonGirl1992 I think i ovulated on the 1st - I didnt know 5 weeks was after the risk of chemical pregnancy so thats really good to hear as its an anxious time these first few weeks isnt it.

Nina7 · 18/09/2023 10:14

Thank you @TheBirdintheCave , that sheds some light on the accounting!
So the weeks are called according to the last "full" week.
4+2 = week 4
5+3= week 5...

Omg I've still got ages until I can be sure it's not a chemical...
(My previous chemical happened very early, 3+4)

LondonGirl1992 · 18/09/2023 13:05

It’s so confusing isn’t it! I’ve been reading the NHS go off the first day of your last period which would make me 6 weeks today but I have irregular cycles (I think like a 33 day average). It makes me so confused how far along I am!

I did have awful sickness the past two days but I feel fine today- not sure if that’s a worry or not!

dangermouse34 · 18/09/2023 13:15

Me and partner are due, possibly 7th May if going from date of last period. All pregnancies symptoms have stopped though. Was feeling very tired, sore boobs, constipation but nothing now. Don't feel pregnant at all.

Appointment at 2pm with hospital and we aren't sure why. This is our second pregnancy, first ended in miscarriage

Nina7 · 18/09/2023 13:25

@dangermouse34 I hope all goes well!

I'm not sure I understand very well what you wrote, you are not sure why you've got an appointment?
Or you got an appointment because you're not sure on why the symptoms stopped?

I'm also dreading the symptoms stopping... But things change throughout the pregnancy, don't they?

dangermouse34 · 18/09/2023 13:27

We aren't sure why we have the appointment. I had blood tests last week with the GP/Hospital, but wasn't expecting these results until after 2pm today, via phone. I rung the telephone number I was given for any concerns and they just told me to come at 2.20 today

dangermouse34 · 18/09/2023 15:18

Went to the appointment. Currently a baby is present with a healthy heartbeat and a sac, however it's a little on the small side. It's measuring 5+5 when we believe it to be 6+6.

Currently tracking as we did last time however when the misscarriage happened, hopefully nothing wrong this time.

TheBirdintheCave · 18/09/2023 15:34

@dangermouse34 Did they explain why they'd called you in?

Sam890 · 18/09/2023 15:50

Hi all, finally got a really strong bfp after 2 and half years trying, second month of Metaformin! It came up before the control line came up!
From calculations I'm 5+2 today and due date around 20th May 2024!
I'm really struggling not to worry and obsess over my symptoms. So far I'm absolutely knackered, have sensitive boobs, feel slighty nauseous and have slight cramps sometimes.
Does anyone else get cramps, is that normal? Thanks

TheBirdintheCave · 18/09/2023 15:51

@Sam890 Congrats! And don't worry, cramps are a common symptom :)

Sam890 · 18/09/2023 15:53

@TheBirdintheCave thank you! Also, I thought the Dr's would be doing blood tests or something but I've just been referred to a midwife who will contact me at 10 weeks? Is there a way you can get a blood test to confirm your levels prior to that?

LondonGirl1992 · 18/09/2023 15:57

Anyone else have a weird heavy feeling in their stomach? I had nausea over the weekend but it’s totally stopped today and today my stomach just feels weird and heavy. Hoping everything is okay!

HashB · 18/09/2023 16:01

@LondonGirl1992 yes I have this.

@Sam890 unless you have a reason to be concerned about your HCG levels then I think the only way to check them is to do it privately? I paid £80 for mine last week.

TheBirdintheCave · 18/09/2023 16:06

@Sam890 Not where I live unfortunately :( It might be different in your area so it could be worth asking your GP.

LBNM19 · 18/09/2023 16:46

How common are chemical pregnancies ? Lots of talk about them on here which is making me feel a bit nervous I hadn’t even thought about this before looking on here.

slowsundays · 18/09/2023 16:51

Ended up in emergency gynaecology this morning with a suspected ectopic pregnancy. A transvaginal scan showed baby is where it should be and a giant cyst that had ruptured causing the pain. I'm so worried. 5+3 today.

The sonographers weren't interested in baby in the slightest which I was a bit disappointed by. She just said it's in the right place and 'about right for 4-5 weeks' but I didn't get a look. I have a private transvaginal scan on Sunday at 6+2 where I hope we'll see a heartbeat.
