I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

Hello everyone,
So I went to the EPU today and there is a gestational sac and yolk intrauterine so no ectopic pregnancy! 😁
I'm going back in 2 weeks for a repeat scan to make sure the little bean has grown so fingers crossed for a sticky one!

Yay amazing I love early scans they bring such peace of mind xx

LondonGirl1992 · 15/09/2023 10:45

I’ve just found out this morning I’m pregnant! First day of my last period was August 7th and then I got a positive LH on Friday 1st September. I just did a pregnancy test that estimated im 2-3 weeks but im confused whether you go from the date of your last period or ovulation?

Either way, never thought this day would come and couldn’t be happier! ❤️ Im 31 and have been TTC since March this year- had lost all hope!

Sa11yCinnamon · 15/09/2023 10:49

@LondonGirl1992 Congratulations! I believe those tests go from date of ovulation but the NHS go from date of your last period - sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Positive test for me! Due date around 12th May. This is baby #3 but my 5th pregnancy. I’ve had 2 first-trimester MCs. My DC are 5 years old and 13 months.

I’m feeling very nervous after the last MC. I check for blood every time I wipe, and any slight feeling of a cramp makes me anxious. I won’t feel like I can celebrate until I see the baby on that ultrasound and hear the heartbeat.

Right now the only people we’ve told are our best friends (a couple). We’ll save the news for family once we have a successful first scan, which is at 8 weeks here (we’re not in the UK).

Good luck to everyone!

TheBirdintheCave · 15/09/2023 11:12

@LondonGirl1992 I go by ovulation date (minus 14 days) as I ovulate later than average and if I used my LMP then my due date would be very wrong.

Laura96 · 15/09/2023 12:25

Is this line good for just over 5 weeks since last lmp??
Sorry feel like a ball of anxiety at the moment!

LondonGirl1992 · 15/09/2023 13:29

Has anyone else had what feels like period cramps? I was technically due on this week but have had a positive pregnancy test. I still have what feels like the usual period cramps though which seems odd!

Meggan123 · 15/09/2023 13:56

@LondonGirl1992 I had period like cramps for about a week from getting my BFP, was convinced AF would show. I’m 5 weeks now and they have stopped!

Meggan123 · 15/09/2023 14:07

Anyone getting lightning crotch this early? Sometimes its sharp pains and sometimes its just a pressure/pain in my vagina. Hope its not a bad sign.

YES! TMI but every time I go for a wee (which is A LOT) I'm convinced I'll see blood.

Meggan123 · 15/09/2023 14:38

@Laura96 yea thats a nice strong line!!

Ah yes, fanny daggers 😂 This started for me today.

Rusticanella · 15/09/2023 14:58

@LondonGirl1992

Yes. Exactly like period pains. Really worried me for a few days. I am 4.3 now and they are settling, but around the time my period was due they were really strong.

Wishedfor2021 · 15/09/2023 15:54

Does anybody else who this isn’t their first pregnancy feel massive already?! I’m not even 5 weeks yet and I’m SO bloated! I know it’s all bloat at this point but I honestly look the same size as I did at 20 weeks with my son 😅 bring on the colder weather so I can cover up under baggy jumpers!!

ash98 · 15/09/2023 16:01

I'm currently 11 dpo and had a faint positive yesterday going to do a digital when I'm home 🤞🤞🤞

Twinkles18 · 15/09/2023 19:53

@Wishedfor2021 omg yes!! Been living in leggings all week as was working from home so strictly comfort 😂 stuck my trusty skinny jeans on as was heading out for dinner but o m g couldn’t wait to get them off as soon as I got home! Nearly cut off my circulation 😂😂

Emmacb82 · 15/09/2023 20:01

Yes to the bloating! This is number 3 for me and I already look about 5 months pregnant when I’m only 5 weeks! I’m having to rip off my jeans and put pjs on as soon as I get home 🤣 am also cursing myself for throwing away all my maternity jeans as I thought my family was done 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes this is me, the bloat is real this time round and the boobs are already big as well!

Hiya 👋
Can I join?
I came off the pill in March and have been ttc since, I got my bfp on Sunday! And a digital test on Tuesday said 3+! From my last cycle I should be due around the 15th May! This is my first pregnancy, I have two pre twen step sons, the youngest of which is very excited!
But my god, I did not realise how quickly and full on the symptoms start! My boobs look huge and hurt! I have constant nausea and have gone off anything sweet, and I love chocolate! And I'm so sensitive to smells and so so tired! I only work 4.5 hours a day and I have to come back and nap, sometimes having multiple naps a day!

Holdmysunhat · 15/09/2023 22:55

@Wishedfor2021 Soooo bloated! My memory isn't the greatest but I'm sure I'd remember if I were this bovine first time round. Also backache this time which I don't remember having until third tri last time. Anyone else?

On the plus side, I'm so much less anxious than my first pregnancy. I don't know if you get more used to the hormone overload second time round but I'm not stressing anything at all even though my nausea is 100 times worse, which sometimes triggers anxiety for me. Not what I expected!

Congratulations @SophieJ3794 ❤️ we have the same due date I think- and this is my first and I’ve been TTC since coming off the pill in March! It’s so exciting and surreal isn’t it. I’ve had weird pains in my nipples this week on two occasions- as if someone has put a hot needle through them which I have never had before! I’ve also felt slightly sick all day today!

Holdmysunhat · 15/09/2023 22:57

Hi @SophieJ3794 👋Multiple napping is the pregnancy dream! I'm genuinely happy for you! I can't pull it off with my work/life right now but I definitely feel this is what our pregnant bodies were made to do in tri 1

TheBirdintheCave · 15/09/2023 23:02

I feel like I'm the only person who never gets the tired thing in early pregnancy. I did have a ten minute power nap this afternoon but it's not the bone crushing tiredness everyone else seems to describe 😂
