I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

@brickbybrickbybrick my friend is 6 weeks pregnant and has no symptoms at all. Not one. She even did an epic bike race last week. She was the exact same in her last (very healthy) pregnancy and had a dream first trimester. Some people just don’t get hit by the hormones in the same way.

Holdmysunhat · 13/09/2023 20:39

Not sure if that’s reassuring (sometimes nothing is in early pregnancy!) but it’s definitely common.

Mumof2022 · 13/09/2023 20:40

Hi everyone! Sorry to jump on! Was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this. I got pregnant in July and due to certain reasons I had a medical abortion. I took the tablets on the 04/08/2023 and started bleeding the same night until the 09/08/2023. I tested a lot and had many negative tests as well a a specific test they give you which was also negative. Then on the 7th of September I got a faint positive and took a clear blue the next day which said 1-2. I have been testing since and have had positive strip test and another clue blue of 1-2 weeks today (13/09). I didn’t expect to get pregnant again so soon after but is the only way I’m going to find out my gestation a scan? I can’t calculate my due date as technically I didn’t have a period I had an abortion bleed. And I also have no idea when I ovulated. This is the second time I’ve fallen pregnant 2 months in a row on contraception🤦🏽‍♀️

brickbybrickbybrick · 13/09/2023 20:55

Thanks @Holdmysunhat that is! This is my first pregnancy and I've only really been aware of friends saying they've had a tough time with it - accepting that you have very little control over anything here is definitely a skill I'm trying to get the hang of 😂 x

TheBirdintheCave · 14/09/2023 08:08

@Mumof2022 I can't work out from your post whether you actually want to be pregnant or not. If not, perhaps this isn't the best place to be posting your question.

HavinKittens · 14/09/2023 08:27

@Mumof2022 agree with above, may be better to make your own thread on a different board if this is an unwanted pregnancy.
By the dates you’ve given it’s entirely possible you’re pregnant again. If you were on contraceptive and it’s failed twice then you need to have a conversation with your doctor or nurse about that, you won’t find the answers online.

I’m 5w3d and that’s exactly the same as me, although I have the addition of a sniffly nose!

@Meggan123 I'm a little further along at 6+2 and really not got many symptoms bar bloating, achey boobs and needing to wee all the time. I had an apple today though and it tasted absolutely gross - like eating metal! So maybe things are on the turn ..I hope so as the lack of symptoms is freaking me out a little bit

Hi everyone, brand new here so excuse the lack of acronyms 😅

I tested positive this morning, definitely conceived on the 3rd so very early and haven't officially missed my period yet but I just need to get it all out somewhere!

Google says my due date would be 26/27 May. Very much unplanned as I have Taylor Swift tickets for 7 June - oh and my boyfriend currently lives 400 miles away. He's currently looking for jobs where I live so we're just a few months ahead of schedule! I know lots could happen so at the moment I'm just trying not to get my hopes up too much, and googling A LOT. It's technically my second pregnancy, had a termination 10 years ago.

Sending lots of love and luck to everyone who's had a tough journey to get here ❤

Judethepud · 14/09/2023 10:31

@Sa11yCinnamon Oh My God, same! I'm going to see Taylor on the 27th June and due on the 19th May, it was one of the first things I thought about, how can I make this work lol

Totally a planned pregnancy as we've been trying for a long time and there will always be something but I'll be devastated to miss Taylor lol

Rusticanella · 14/09/2023 10:34

@Sa11yCinnamon

How do you know for sure when conception was?

I always believed sperm could live for 5 days the women's body?

TheBirdintheCave · 14/09/2023 10:38

@Rusticanella I imagine she knows when she ovulated and the egg only lives for 24 hours so there's a very limited window for conception to occur.

Sa11yCinnamon · 14/09/2023 10:38

@Rusticanella we weren't officially trying, we had one 'accident' and it turned out I was ovulating that day (according to period tracking app, not totally accurate).

Rusticanella · 14/09/2023 10:40

@Sa11yCinnamon , no I get that, I just meant how did you def know it was that day if not tracking ovulation and sperm can live for 5 days.

Either way- congratulations.....shame about TS

Sa11yCinnamon · 14/09/2023 10:43

@Rusticanella the thing that needs to happen to get pregnant definitely only happened once 😅

Rusticanella · 14/09/2023 11:38

@Sa11yCinnamon 😂 I know, but you don't know the sperm fertilised the egg that day!

Anyway, splitting hairs, congrats again, hope all goes well.

HashB · 14/09/2023 11:43

@Sa11yCinnamon congratulations! Another swifty here who has tickets within a month of the due date. I’ll still be there….she says now…

Sa11yCinnamon · 14/09/2023 11:44

@Rusticanella I finally get you - the tiredness is real!

Rusticanella · 14/09/2023 11:44

@Sa11yCinnamon I feel you!

In my head I'll 100% be there!

I'd been planning to start trying in a few months, thought it'd be quite cool that it would be baby's first concert but they'd have a few months left inside...

Twdfn123 · 14/09/2023 13:55

So I'm 4+1 today...am I getting ahead of myself to book in for an early scan for when I hit 7/8 weeks? Has anyone booked in so early? Feel like I'm jinxing myself... x

TheBirdintheCave · 14/09/2023 14:39

@Twdfn123 I booked my EPU scan last week. I've not done anything else though. Leaving registering with the midwife until the last minute.

Cool that sounds like me! My scan is booked when I should be 7+6 so when/if its OK, then I'll book in with the midwife.

Good luck xx

TheBirdintheCave · 14/09/2023 14:42

@Twdfn123 Thanks :) Trying to stay optimistic but it's hard with my history.

ErrolFinn · 15/09/2023 10:28

Hello everyone,
So I went to the EPU today and there is a gestational sac and yolk intrauterine so no ectopic pregnancy! 😁
I'm going back in 2 weeks for a repeat scan to make sure the little bean has grown so fingers crossed for a sticky one!
