I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

Hi all just off the back of talking about first scans I have mine booked for next Friday when my app says I'll be just over 6 weeks
My first day of lmp was 9th August and I did a positive pregnancy test on 7th September and it said 2-3 weeks on clearblue would you say its pretty accurate that I'll be 6 weeks next week then? Just worried I won't see anything and then worry but surely if I got a 2-3 week clearblue last week that's pretty accurate??

TheBirdintheCave · 13/09/2023 10:23

@Laura96 Do you know when you ovulated via OPKs or temping?

Twdfn123 · 13/09/2023 10:38

Omg sorry to be gross bit has anyone ever had explosive diarhea in early pregnancy. My god I didn't even have it as bad as this with my 1st 😭😭😭

Laura96 · 13/09/2023 10:52

@TheBirdintheCave I wasn't really tracking but my app said was 2 weeks after period but when looking at clear blue saying 2-3 weeks I would have ovulated around the week after my period so guessing that's accurate?

theodora2146 · 13/09/2023 11:34

Had my early scan this morning, which confirmed my dates, everything is looking good at the moment. They did spot a small bleed next to gestational sac but said currently nothing to worry about, has anyone else had this?

I'm also measuring further than what I thought, estimated due date is 23rd April and I'm 8w+1 I've got a second scan booked on 2nd October to check on progress and I've been prescribed progesterone due to previous losses.

Here is the little blob, heart was beating away 🥰

I'll be jumping back on the April board but who knows, baby could arrive early may still!

Good luck everyone x

Oh wow @theodora2146 congrats!

Counting down the days to mine now

TheBirdintheCave · 13/09/2023 11:48

@theodora2146 Congratulations :)

@Laura96 Possibly? Without a firm ovulation date it will be hard to tell but I'm sure you'll get a confirmed date at your scan :)

Wishedfor2021 · 13/09/2023 11:56

Hi all! Can I join?

got my BFP this morning, my app says I’m 4 weeks 3 days, EDD 20th May!

I’m so excited but also trying not to get my hopes up just yet! This is my 2nd pregnancy, I have a 2 year old who will be 3 in March.

Lots of back pain so far and my head feels so fuzzy! I also had a bit of discharge last night with a pink tinge to it, so was very surprised when I got my BFP (all 4 of them🫣😂) this morning!

Meggan123 · 13/09/2023 15:41

@Wishedfor2021 congrats! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

18DPO and maybe the signs of my first ever dye steeler (PS I know I’m crazy and they don’t really mean anything but helps me feel less anxious after a chemical) I’m going to test up until Sat and then I’ll be 5 weeks. Then I’ll stop! Just after 14 months of negative tests and heartbreak it’s so surreal to see blazing positives!!

ladies who are further along when did you begin to feel symptoms? I haven’t felt much tbh, just cramping which has eased off and a few niggles down there. Nipples are maybe a little sensitive but thats all. Maybe more tired but nothing significant and it’s prob from the early wake ups as I seem to be waking up at 4/5 o clock, must be my anxious brain waking me!

also when would you advise is best for an early scan, I really would not like to go and be told they can’t see anything and to come back, my anxiety couldn’t take it! I’m thinking 8 weeksish? Or would 7 be ok, I track ovulation and my periods are like clockwork so I’m sure of my dates.

Hi All,

Tentatively joining you all!

I've calculated my EDD as 10th May, although I'll be insisting on requesting a 39w c-section based on previous labour which did not go well.

We had many years of heartache and IVF to get my DS who is now 10 months, and so this pregnancy is a complete surprise, the furthest we've ever got naturally.

When I was pregnant with him I kept coming back to mumsnet, telling myself I would join the thread after the next scan, or the next doppler appointment, etc, until it was too late. Always expecting bad news so never ready to join in the excitement.

This time I am determined to be much more laid back and positive. I know my body can do this. I know what to expect. I'm finding the wait til 12 weeks a loooong time after being used to a 7 week scan through IVF clinic, but I'm determined not to start booking extra scans. And even if I were tempted we've recently moved to a fairly rural area and my nearest scan centre is over an hour away 😥

I've requested to join the facebook and whatsapp groups posted upthread, I'm not particularly savvy at either of those but I think I did it right!

TheBirdintheCave · 13/09/2023 15:54

@Meggan123 If you're sure of your dates then seven weeks should be fine. That's when my EPU have booked mine for :)

Emmacb82 · 13/09/2023 16:00

Also tentatively joining. Got my bfp on Sunday which was a massive shock as this will be number 3 and we had come to terms with the fact that we weren’t having any more children. We had a chemical exactly a year ago and had decided to stop ttc as I’m 41 so assumed it wouldn’t happen. Well it did happen on just the one go 🤣. At first I was really upset and worried about how we are going to manage, but the shock is slowly wearing off now and I know how lucky we are.
Wishing everyone happy and healthy pregnancies

Judethepud · 13/09/2023 17:20

@Twdfn123 yes, I've had it a few times now 🙈😅 not pleasant! I didn't have a great stomach to start with though lol

brickbybrickbybrick · 13/09/2023 17:54

@Meggan123 I'm a little further along at 6+2 and really not got many symptoms bar bloating, achey boobs and needing to wee all the time. I had an apple today though and it tasted absolutely gross - like eating metal! So maybe things are on the turn ..I hope so as the lack of symptoms is freaking me out a little bit

brickbybrickbybrick · 13/09/2023 17:56

@Meggan123 oh and not being able to sleep past 3/4am and the odd cramp ..maybe that is quite a few symptoms now I've seen them written down! Who knows

Twdfn123 · 13/09/2023 18:17

Judethepud · 13/09/2023 17:20

@Twdfn123 yes, I've had it a few times now 🙈😅 not pleasant! I didn't have a great stomach to start with though lol

I'm in the same boat exactly. Wasn't great before but now its awful, and all i crave is salty stuff which probably isn't helping.

Hope your pregnancy goes well 🌷

Laura96 · 13/09/2023 18:45

How do I join the WhatsApp group sorry?

Twdfn123 · 13/09/2023 18:57

Yes me too

TheBirdintheCave · 13/09/2023 19:08

@Twdfn123 I am sooooo hungry all the time now 😭 I just ate dinner and I could eat it all again.

HashB · 13/09/2023 19:52

@brickbybrickbybrick I only have insomnia and the odd cramp as symptoms. I didn’t feel
last time like I had many symptoms, but I did have big sore boobs, cramping, insomnia and the most horrendous constipation!

has anyone ever had a HCG blood test? The lack of symptoms and weak pregnancy tests are making me want to have one for reassurance, but I don’t know if what it will tell me will give me that?

brickbybrickbybrick · 13/09/2023 20:16

@HashB I suppose it's true what Dr Google they say, every pregnancy is different! I've got my scan next Thurs so trying to keep as busy as possible before then..

Rookie question but is that something that will be done as part of the booking appt?

HashB · 13/09/2023 20:26

@brickbybrickbybrick I don’t think so. They do take a urine sample and blood, but i think they check things like blood type, iron levels etc.

I could be wrong though.

Twdfn123 · 13/09/2023 20:27

TheBirdintheCave · 13/09/2023 19:08

@Twdfn123 I am sooooo hungry all the time now 😭 I just ate dinner and I could eat it all again.

Me too! I craved and went to McDonald's today. 🙈 ravenous!!

Holdmysunhat · 13/09/2023 20:31

@brickbybrickbybrick I had my booking appointment today and they took loads of blood but quite certain they don’t test for HCG. It’s my second pregnancy and I’m always geekily interested in all the tests.

They took three vials of my blood today and she said she was testing for HIV and to check my blood type, as well as iron levels and infections.

HashB · 13/09/2023 20:35

I just checked my previous badger notes and @Holdmysunhat is right. It’s blood type, infection markers, HIV syphilis and hep B
