I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

I can fall asleep but for the last 5 days or so I’ve woken up at 1.30 and that’s it. No more sleep for me.

your lines look darker than mine @Twdfn123 and I’m 4 days after my period is due 🫤

Thanks for looking - im so bloated already its crazy.

Hope you manage to get some better sleep xxx

Hi ladies

Got my BFP a week ago at 9dpo!! So it’s been a nerve wrecking week watching the line progression. Wish I just waited until AF to test… I don’t know why I do this to myself.

We have been TTC for 14 months and had a chemical 8 months ago so i’m super anxious. I had just started some initial fertility tests and have a Hsg booked for this week which I’m excited to now cancel!

however, the last week I have been experiencing mild cramping, very much like AF cramps. Although I usually only get AF cramps the day before AF so this is different I guess, but its horrible and they are making me feel so anxious, I’m so scared everytime I go to the loo and wipe. Has anybody else had period like cramping? Any tips for anxiety? I’m actually quite a chilled person but feel like i’m losing my mind with this! I think because of the previous chemical and the fact its taken us a while.

Hi ladies :)

I got my BFP last week too. Very similar to a lot of you, I tested too early and have been driving myself mad. I had actually been temp tracking, had a dip at 7dpo that I thought might be implantation but then had massive drop 10dpo I thought that meant I was out so tested to confirm and got a positive! Convinced myself I was having a chemical because of the temp drop but it spiked the next day and has been high ever since. I've stopped tracking my bbt now.

@Meggan123 I'm in a similar position, we've been trying for about 18 months. I've had 1 mmc at 10 weeks and a chemical last year. We are on the IVF waiting list, have had tests etc and actually had my HSG about 2 months ago which might have helped towards conceiving.

I am so delighted to be pregnant, did not think we would get here naturally so totally surprised but incredibly anxious too. Checking with every wipe. I've also been having on and off back ache and AF like cramps for the passed week which have eased off but I do think that's just part of it.

Going to be as positive as possible and hope its 3rd time lucky!

Meggan123 · 11/09/2023 14:02

@Judethepud awww nice to hear we are in a similar position. How amazing to conceive before IVF, maybe the HSG helped, my dr did mention alot of her patients falling following HSG so in some ways I was looking forward to that, never expected a BFP this month. Congratulations, whats your predicted due date? Mine is 18th May. My cramps seem to be easing up slightly! Praying they go away as they freak me out! Gimme nausea instead 😂

Judethepud · 11/09/2023 14:30

@Meggan123 yeah I think it probably did help, my doctor mentioned you are more fertile 3 months after so that would make sense. So glad it worked!

Congratulations! Lovely for you to have received your BFP before a HSG, they are not the most enjoyable things lol my expected due date is 19th May, so hopefully be right behind you :) the cramps are the worst, and I'm over having back ache already lol

HashB · 11/09/2023 14:48

congratulations @Judethepud and @Meggan123 ! My due date is 18th May too.

has anyone got any more test trackers to show? I’ve only been doing mine every other day but I feel like they look light in comparison to others here. These are days 12DPO 14DPO and 16 DPO

I know obsessing isn’t healthy but I obsess anyway…

Meggan123 · 11/09/2023 14:56

@Judethepud ahhh how lovely, we are due roughly the same time. Little spring babies! Yeah I wasn’t looking forward to the HSG but was looking forward to the potential increased fertility afterwards! But I guess it was never needed 🙏🥰 my back has hurt a little today, cramps seem to have eased off so long may that continue as the AF style cramps just worry me no end.

@HashB congrats, due date twins! Your lines look good! Some tests arent great at showing progression and only get so dark. Yours def look fine! When are you going to stop testing? I feel like I should probably stop soon. Maybe I’ll test up until 18dpo then stop! I just need some reassurance.

that looks like a great line progression to me. I'd be happy with that xxx

Snowdrop79 · 11/09/2023 15:12

Hi everyone!
so lovely to hear about all your BFPs😊
I’ve seen lots of you are due the 18th of May and also had MCs like I did too.
I had a vvvfl on a cheapie 8DPO and decided to do a CB early digital as it was my OH’s birthday so I was able to surprise him with that.

Saw my GP today and booked in for a scan at 8 weeks. She’s referred me for the usual antenatal bloods to have done at 8 weeks (which I also had in June so no hurry she said) but not HCGs.
So now I don’t really have anything from now til my ultrasound to let me know how the pregnancy is going, kind of liberating after weeing on a stick everyday for a week to see line progression.

love hearing about how you’re all doing. Happy 9 months to us!!

Meggan123 · 11/09/2023 16:00

@Snowdrop79 congrats hun!!! it’s a long wait isn’t it! I find watching my lines progress very reassuring though after a previous chemical.

i’m going to speak with my doc this week too!

this was my 16dpo line 🙏🤞🤞🙏

HashB · 11/09/2023 17:36

Thanks all.
do you think every brand of test would show the same ‘darkness’ of line or do you think there will be a variance between brands at the same level of HCG?

Twdfn123 · 11/09/2023 17:40

@hashb defo different strength lines. Top one was FRER. Strips were boots own from day of your expected period.

TheBirdintheCave · 11/09/2023 17:40

@HashB There's a variance as each test brand will have a different sensitivity level :)

Meggan123 · 11/09/2023 18:27

@HashB def a difference in brand, FRERs and easy@home show good progression, my first response strip tests don’t really show a difference, they feel pretty cheap.

theodora2146 · 11/09/2023 20:02

Sorry for TMI and for the moan as I know I'm very lucky to be pregnant.

But today I've felt horrid! At one point I didn't know if I was going to throw up or come out the other side along with having terrible heart burn and exhaustion.

The first trimester is the hardest time to keep things a secret 🥲

Snowdrop79 · 11/09/2023 23:52

@HashB i found FRER showed better line progression early on. They then plateaued once they got dark. Then the cheapies were good for progression I thought. They have sort of plateaued now they’re dark.

@theodora2146 you're very valid in feeling awful. Is it really bad? I had the heart burn and a bit of nausea at the start of my last pregnancy ~5 weeks but never got to the point of almost vomiting thankfully.

@Meggan123 that line is wonderful and strong !!

Twdfn123 · 12/09/2023 04:28

@Meggan123 that's a fab line congratulations 🎊

On another note, I know I'm silly wasting tests but I'm due on AF tomorrow and just did a clear blue weeks indicator and it says 2-3 weeks already. Gosh I hope this one sticks as I'm daring to be hopeful 🥲

I'm sorry for everyone else that have had chemicals etc...I really hope you get your sticky beans as I've been there myselfast month. Much love to you xxxx

Meggan123 · 12/09/2023 18:10

@Twdfn123 congrats! So reassuring to see the weeks go up, when I had my chemical I only got 1-2! Praying for our sticky beans 🙏🤞❤️

That makes me feel a bit better, I know it doesn't indicate anything but if I see it go to 3+ I'll be a bit more hopeful as like you with my chemical lastonth I barely got to 1-2 I think

Good luck to you!! I hope it goes well for the both of us. 🥺 xxx

Holdmysunhat · 12/09/2023 20:33

I’m 6 weeks and feel so much sicker this time round!

Great we won’t have any of the pregnancy in the summer though. Fingers crossed - all being well - for a cool May and we might even save some cash on the heating this winter!

TTCbaby2x · 12/09/2023 20:35

I'm also 6 weeks and at this point with my son I was being sick every single day! It was horrific. No sickness this time around up to now, I've had nausea but no sickness, I thought I'd be terrible this time around again! Has anyone else been the same and been completely opposite in different pregnancies?

My back ache has been terrible this time around though I will say, didn't have this so early on with my son 😫

Holdmysunhat · 12/09/2023 20:43

@TTCbaby2x I’ve heard you generally get less NVP in your second pregnancy. It’s because you’re used to the hormones. My source is the ‘beyond the bump’ pregnancy podcast!

This pregnancy is different for me in that the nausea actually started so much earlier this time round so I’m an unlucky weirdo - I was certain I was pregnant from 3 weeks due to nausea.

TTCbaby2x · 12/09/2023 20:47

@Holdmysunhat wow really!? I was convinced I'd be terrible again (I'm probably speaking too early and it might hit me in a week or so and I'll regret saying all this😂) but hopefully not🤞🏻you have my sympathy!! I know how horrible it is 😭😭

TTCbaby2x · 12/09/2023 20:47

@ttcthoughts how did your scan go? Xx

Holdmysunhat · 12/09/2023 20:50

@TTCbaby2x thanks! Hope you continue to have a lovely, vomit free pregnancy!
