@peonygirl yes I have a supermarket shop ready to. Heck out once I've gone through everything one last time! Honestly baby brain is the worst and he's not even here yet! I have so many different browsers open with checkouts sitting there waiting to go. I need to just be able get everything in one place! I feel like I'm going to end up ordering something twice as I've looked across lots of different place.

But by the end of next week work will be ✅ and final orders ✅ last of catch up/social meets with a friends will also be ✅ so I can relax and enjoy the baby bubble.... as best I can with a highly energetic 3 year old!

OrionNebula · 24/09/2023 17:47

@peonygirl I am not due until 8th but they wanted to give me the section at 39 weeks with baby being breech. I'm sure it will come round quick for you! I'm glad I have 1 week to get last bits sorted but think we are nearly there. Just need to convert the buggy back into a pram & a few more bits and pieces to wash.

Summer022 · 24/09/2023 20:37

@NSx 4 weeks left here too so I know how you’re feeling. Definitely feels like a lifetime but it’ll come around so soon. 🥹

NSx · 24/09/2023 21:04

That’s right, you’re about the same time as me aren’t you ? @Summer022 I am 25th.

tbh I’m doing well at the minute, so I’m ok for the time being, to wait for the baby 😂😂😂

my friends baby came yesterday bang on due date, my other friend is sitting at 41+5 patiently waiting 👀👀👀👀👀👀

doeandfawn · 24/09/2023 22:50

Couple of things for those having sections who haven't had them before. A friend of mine who had a planned section said she had a feeling like someone was sitting on her shoulder, really intense pressure, apparently it's a common response to the anaesthetic but she wasn't warned about it. Also the midwife told me something I didn't know and glad I know do.... apparently often babies born by section don't cry straight away, so good to know that and not be worried if it happens.

PeopleAreToads · 25/09/2023 15:23

@HVHT how exciting!! Good luck 🥰

Though I'm 36+5 and this somehow makes everything seem much more real in terms of how soon baby is arriving

I've also gone into full nesting mode and done lots of batch cooking of dinners to freeze. Anyone have any suggestions of healthy/easy lunches for the first few weeks?

SoBoredOfWaiting · 25/09/2023 15:40

Hope you are all doing ok. My baby boy no 2 was born 12 days early at 4.18am today 😊 wishing you all the best of luck in your deliveries and hope you and babies are safe and well x

cruciverbalista · 25/09/2023 16:14

peonygirl · 25/09/2023 16:17

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations!! Welcome to the world, little one. x

doeandfawn · 25/09/2023 16:18

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations!!! 💙

@OrionNebula thanks for that, if we end up going that route I would have had no idea.

@PeopleAreToads we’ve done a lot of lasagna, breakfast burritos, easy to reheat but can be packed full of protein and veggies type foods.

OrionNebula · 25/09/2023 16:20

Congrats @SoBoredOfWaiting !

Koalawhala · 25/09/2023 16:48

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations!! I hope you’re both doing well 💐

Oh what gorgeous news! Massive congratulations Flowers

peonygirl · 25/09/2023 17:17

@PeopleAreToads depending what you usually eat for lunch but I am making some soups (leek and potato, broccoli, chicken) and have stored some veggie burgers I can make real quick, with some salad. I also made burritos, egg and bacon muffins, lasagna, chili con carne and bolognese sauces. I am yet to make some curries and Korean fried rice which can be quickly reheated. I will also freeze some muffins and brownies for snacks. I have checked some Youtube channels, found the best results with channels of ladies that batch cook for a large family.
