Not sure if anyone can relate, but the thing I am most looking forward to about not being pregnant any more is stopping stressing about movements.... got myself in another mini panic earlier, she's wriggling away now. I really wasn't like this last time, not sure why I have been so much more anxious generally this pregnancy.

Congratulations @SoBoredOfWaiting and @HVHT

💙💙 two boys so far 🥰

I can’t believe the babies are coming now. It only feels like the other day when we were all tentatively saying we were days pregnant!

I’m not due until the 30th and my first was 2 weeks late so who knows how long I’ve got left. Still haven’t had our birth afterthoughts debriefing our last birth so still don’t know whether we’re going c section or VBAC 😬

Feeling very not ready at the moment, but also wouldn’t mind not being pregnant with the constantly bumping into things, groaning and the heartburn! ❤️‍🔥

doeandfawn · 26/09/2023 09:38

@HVHT congratulations!! How are you feeling?

peonygirl · 26/09/2023 10:51

@HVHT Congratulations!! Hope you have a quick recovery and lots of cuddles with the little one. x

Aah so happy for you! Hope you're having endless cuddles with baby, you deserve it Flowers

doeandfawn · 26/09/2023 12:10

Just had midwife appointment and he’s still breech so looks like I’m getting that c-section (thank goodness). Had a new midwife who is all for me electing to have one even if he turns which is such a breath of fresh air so meeting with the consultant soon to discuss options and dates but he’ll definitely be here before Halloween!

HVHT · 26/09/2023 12:33

Not gunna lie feeling shattered! I hadn’t slept for two nights before very well then 3rd night labours broke and was in labour for 22 hours. On a ward now but only get to doze as there either doing my obs or his ect.
he’s got a nasty cut on his forehead from forceps 😞and swelling which I’m a bit worried about. Otherwise he’s absolutely gorgeous and a time theif! I was due 19th originally xx

OrionNebula · 26/09/2023 12:58

@HVHT congrats, sounds tough! Hope you get to rest up a bit now x

ES1986 · 26/09/2023 13:41

Congratulations @HVHT !

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 26/09/2023 15:13

@HVHT you absolute trooper! Well done!

katherine123x · 26/09/2023 17:05

Congratulations!!

Can't believe the baby's are coming!!!!

C section mummas: when staying overnight does the baby stay with you or do the midwives take them??

ForeverAndEvers · 26/09/2023 17:06

Congratulations @HVHT ! Hope you managed to get some rest and recover well.

OrionNebula · 26/09/2023 17:42

@katherine123x they told me baby would be given straight back to me once I have been sewn up and then she will stay with me. I'm in Ireland though, not sure if Uk hospitals have different policies.

Koalawhala · 26/09/2023 19:09

@katherine123x I’m sure they stay with you but midwives are on call to help with lifting/feeding baby

Congratulations @HVHT! Sounds like a rough ride for you both. I hope you a good recovery

PrimarilyParented · 26/09/2023 21:39

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations!

i’m 37 weeks tomorrow and been having either braxton hicks or early labour pains for the last few hours. Really not sure if I’m in early Labour or not and panicking a bit as all the kids are asleep and I have no idea who we’ll get to come and look after them if I go into proper Labour during the night.

Ss32 · 27/09/2023 04:35

@katherine123x my LO was a section baby nearly 3 years ago and I kept baby with me. I was just left to my own devices really (not saying that in a bad way)

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 27/09/2023 07:49

@SoBoredOfWaiting hope they stopped for you! I had false labour for about 4 hours at 35 weeks and it wasn’t fun! Now 37 + 3 and haven’t had it since

PrimarilyParented · 27/09/2023 09:23

@FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween they seem to have stopped overnight thankfully, but I’ve still taken the day off work to rest. At 37 weeks I know I’m considered full term but it made me realise I am so not ready! My restful day may involve sorting out some baby things so I feel more prepared.
