I'm 36+4 now and head is not engaged but very low down. Do feel a lot of pressure though wouldn't surprise me if at my next MW appointment he is engaged!

I keep thinking, only a few weeks and he could be here. 😃

Can't wait to hear all the news of arrivals!

katherine123x · 23/09/2023 19:03

@ttcttc could have wrote that myself ... been slightly panicking but relieved to know others are feeling the exact same ...
I get this sudden, I can't stand any more and immediately have to sit down!!

@Sagittarius25 have sat on my ball too!! Love that thing!

ttcttc · 23/09/2023 19:04

Also baby is very active today and BIG movements 🐳

ttcttc · 23/09/2023 19:06

@katherine123x sorry hit send too quick.

Yeah that's how I feel with sitting. How far on are you?

katherine123x · 23/09/2023 19:06

@ttcttc same!! Been like it a few days!! 36+3!

ttcttc · 23/09/2023 19:15

Ah must be the normal after 36w then!

Are you engaged ? I was a couple of week ago .. 3/5.. baby has been head down since 27/28 week 😬😬

katherine123x · 23/09/2023 19:21

@ttcttc I'm not sure. He's been head down for aggggesssss... but never mentioned engaged or not!!

We have a c section booked this week so I really want him to stay comfy for a little longer.

I don't know, something just feels different (which is probably all in my hormonal emotional head) 😂😂

ttcttc · 23/09/2023 19:32

I feel different too. Just hoping it's the turn off the last month and I'm not going early. I have my baby shower tomorrow 🤦🏼‍♀️

How come you're having a section 😊

Summer022 · 23/09/2023 19:47

Feeling emotional as a colleague who was due middle of October had her baby today. So happy for her, but equally feeling a little impatient to meet my little man now. He’s due late October so could still go another 6 weeks 🙈 Had quite a lot of worry and anxiety kick in recently about birth but hopefully all will be ok. Just wondered if anyone has any positive experiences with epidurals? Seriously considering one if the pain feels unmanageable (and if I make it in time to have one). My mind is scrambled 😆😆

katherine123x · 23/09/2023 20:24

@ttcttc big baby, poly, diabetes .. a cocktail of reasons 😂

I'm just being nosy. Always intrigued how all our pregnancy's are different. At least you have a plan 😊

katherine123x · 23/09/2023 21:16

@ttcttc no worries! Yes absolutely!! Pain has eased off now too xx

monsteramunch · 23/09/2023 21:49

37 weeks in a couple of days too and I'm another one who has felt different the past few days. New pains, much heavier feeling bump and just beyond shattered.

Ended up getting checked over a few days ago as my feet were so swollen (even the midwives winced 😂) but happy everything is ok!

Lower back pain (a bit like the ones I get during my period) since last night, shattered and little girl is moving like crazy, even more than usual.

I can't see it lasting another two weeks until my c section, I wonder if she will be early after all!

OrionNebula · 23/09/2023 22:00

@Summer022 I had epidural and vaginal delivery on my first and had a positive experience. I know there are downsides, ie you have to be on your back and it makes labour take longer, but for me it was the right decision. I was in so much pain beforehand, after I got it I managed a short sleep & then was able to chat to the midwives and listen to my playlist.

@Mamabear345 good luck!

PrimarilyParented · 24/09/2023 09:28

@ttcttc i absolutely feel the same way at 36.5 weeks, like I’ve suddenly gotten enormous and the discomfort levels have massively increased. Walking around is painful unless I have my pregnancy support belt on but I find it uncomfortable to sit with that on for long periods of time either.

doeandfawn · 24/09/2023 10:03

Another one where walking is agonising here! He’s still frank breech as of my last appointment, I’m 35w tomorrow so hoping we can discuss elcs at my next appointment in case he doesn’t turn in time. No pressure in my pelvis as such but such bad period pain when I lie down.

TMI but anyone else really struggling with diarrhoea? It’s come on in the last week (I assume he’s moved) and midwives are saying to keep an eye on it but that it’s normal.

peonygirl · 24/09/2023 10:26

@doeandfawn not diarrhoea here but incontinence. It is horrible in my case because I am still recovering from the cold and coughing - I literally wear granny nappies because it is impossible to wash things all the time. I was told any type of "body cleansing" is normal as body wants to get rid of anything it doesn't need (vomiting is normal too). I feel it gets worse before it gets better so have semi-accepted the last few weeks will be rubbish.

Smiffette · 24/09/2023 13:09

Unfortunately I've had the opposite to diarrhoea, these iron tablets I have to take make so uncomfortable. I've stopped taking them for a few days because I really just need a clear out (sorry for the TMI) but I feel horrible!
I'm not having next bloods until the 5th and hoping they say I can stop taking them....

Phoenixwings1989 · 24/09/2023 16:41

Ugh I can relate with those of you who are uncomfortable. I'm 37+2 and I cannot walk far anymore. Just going up the stairs leaves me with a stitch under my ribs. Baby girl is Frank breech so probably why but ouch it hurts. I feel enormous too! I keep experiencing tightening around my bump as well. I'm over being pregnant but so not ready for her to be here any earlier then she needs to be. I have so much anxiety over how I'm going to adapt going from just having a three year old to having a newborn to look after too.

I have another growth scan tomorrow. Her estimated weight was 5 pounds 11 ounces two weeks ago. C section also booked for 6 of October which is not far away at all but long enough.

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 24/09/2023 16:52

@Smiffette raspberry leaf tea works to get things moving! I’m on iron too but finding they’re cancelling each other out in that dept

OrionNebula · 24/09/2023 16:57

@Smiffette same issue with the iron tablets 😬

Finished work on Friday so have one week of downtime before my section on 2nd!

Smiffette · 24/09/2023 17:02

@FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween @OrionNebula thanks! Yes my friend just mentioned raspberry leaf tea... definitely going to get some this week.

One last super busy week of work to get through and then I'll be in full baby mode! feel like I need to sit down and make a list of things I need to get baby related and just other general bits I've been putting off until pay day!

peonygirl · 24/09/2023 17:11

@Smiffette I've literally just done a list of things I still need to do and get. Also made an order on Amazon for the last bits I need. I wanted to batch cook this weekend but just don't have energy for it. Not sure about you but I am stocking on house products (cleaning products) and cosmetics for me and baby, along with snacks and drinks, so I don't need to go anywhere after birth for some 2 weeks.

I have 3 more weeks of work :S I love my work but currently I don't have any concentration which is counter-productive. I need to finish a lot of resources and teaching materials so I am hoping to have one or two really productive days to push through.

@OrionNebula you'll have your baby before I'll have my 36w scan! So exciting, can't wait to see our October babies arriving ❤

Sagittarius25 · 24/09/2023 17:27

One more week at work for me, thankfully done my handover to my replacement last week (who is now on holiday this week) so it will be a low key week of tying things up for sure. Ready to sit and do nothing for a while before baby comes 😂

NSx · 24/09/2023 17:34

I can’t believe some of you are expecting so soon 🥹 … I still have 4 weeks left and seems like a lifetime in comparison.
Hope you’re all ok 🤍
