Exciting for everyone feeling movements already! I feel like I have but it also might have just been digestion too. FTM so no idea what I'm expecting yet!

Just had a blood test that I was only there for as they lost my last one and I fainted! Never happened before and I'd eaten and drunk just before it and wasn't nervous so no idea why, I'm putting it down to pregnancy giving me low blood pressure.

Now I'm paranoid it's harmed baby even though reliable Internet sources says it's fine. Definitely taking my husband with me next time though, I was a bit wobbly coming out and not quite 100% yet a few hours later.

Sorry for the doom and gloom!

DesertSnow · 28/02/2023 15:52

@JT2021 good luck with the scan!

I've still not felt any movements at 18 + 3. I know it's early to be concerned, but that doesn't exactly stop one from worrying, does it? :(

Another one here on the really vivid dreams train. Even when they're not about anything horrible, I still find their intensity weirdly disturbing! Last night it was awful, I dreamt that DH left me and woke up feeling convinced it was real. Also awake for good patches in the night, but reassured that I'm not alone in this.

3 weeks today till the anomaly scan. Definitely counting down the days, but also apprehensive as I think many of you are about scans.

buttercupbee · 28/02/2023 16:09

@marleyandme I quite often faint during blood tests as I have low blood pressure so I feel your pain! Next time you have one make sure you tell them you fainted and they should make you lie down and let you stay until you feel back to normal. It’s horrible so I really sympathise!

@DesertSnow I had a dream DH left me the night before last, when I woke up he’d already left for work so I had to ring him to reassure me. It was so realistic!

LBF2020 · 28/02/2023 17:05

@Amme18 that's good to know. I guess when we start to feel movement regularly it's going to start another world of worry. It never ends does it 🤣
My belly is starting to feel firmer, about half way up. I have an anterior placenta so I'm wondering if that's what I can feel? My belly is normally squishy 😅

LBF2020 · 28/02/2023 17:07

@marleyandme that must have been quite a shock! Hope you're feeling better now.
Does anyone know how much pregnancy lowers your blood pressure? Does it continue to lower until you give birth?

ChloeN · 28/02/2023 17:09

@LBF2020 my belly’s really hard now with an anterior placenta too!

jollydollyirl · 28/02/2023 17:34

Hope this isn’t TMI, does anyone find they have quite unpleasant smelling discharge? Is it a sign of anything I wonder?

LBF2020 · 28/02/2023 18:05

@ChloeN ah yay! Do you think you've felt movement yet?

LBF2020 · 28/02/2023 18:08

@jollydollyirl I think the advice is if it smells unpleasant contact the midwife. Could be an infection/BV?

ChloeN · 28/02/2023 18:11

@LBF2020 Im pretty sure I have, only on the left side and my placenta is on the right so that makes sense!

LS888 · 28/02/2023 19:03

I’m also having really vivid dreams. Nothing baby related yet but just really odd and memorable. Normally I don’t remember my dreams!

marleyandme · 28/02/2023 19:12

@buttercupbee @LBF2020 thanks for the solidarity! I was quite shaken up as I'd not fainted before but I'll definitely be telling them at my next one which is only in another week 😂 feel like all I'm doing is going for appointments at the moment!

@LBF2020 i think low blood pressure is common in pregnancy but it should all go back to normal after labour. I've read that it's at its lowest in the middle of pregnancy in the second trimester then should get higher again towards the end

BusyBushBaby · 28/02/2023 20:02

I've been having weird dreams too. Last night I dreamed I had worms. 😩

ChloeN · 28/02/2023 20:04

@BusyBushBaby 🤣🤣🤣 what a delightful dream

Narwhal88 · 28/02/2023 20:54

I've been having weird dreams every night since 3 weeks. It was my first 'symptom' as I don't normally dream. I had one a few weeks ago where I had the baby and it turned out to be a Dalmatian puppy 🤣
The other night my husband accidentally drove our car over the side of a bridge and we plummeted into the ocean! I had another where I created this weird alien world.

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 28/02/2023 21:08

I'm with you all on the vivid dreams. Not baby related as such (I am pregnant in the dreams) but last night it was that the house was haunted and DH left me there to go the pub.

BCxx · 28/02/2023 22:41

hope the scan went well @JT2021 💖💙

BCxx · 28/02/2023 22:44

My belly has just started to feel more solid and is coming from higher up in the last day or so.. tonight I felt properly pregnant getting into bed! I’m reminding myself though that from the 20 week scan last time it feels like I blinked and it was the day of my section. They let you hear the heart beat here at 22 weeks (although il hear it at the private gender scan) but I remember that appointment feeling really serious the last time like the baby was arriving imminently! I think when you know for definite you’re only going to 39 weeks too it doesn’t sound so far away 🙈

BCxx · 28/02/2023 22:50

Embarrassing issue.. although is there even such a thing on here anymore? 😂 at the end of my last pregnancy I would go for a wee and it was as if when I thought my bladder was empty it actually wasn’t. I’m guessing because baby was pressing on a bit of it. I’d then stand up from the toilet and uncontrollably leak the rest of it. I remember one night we were at my mums for dinner and I stood up and thought I was okay but as I put my jeans on and went to leave the bathroom it went again. I had absolutely no issue with my bladder the rest of the time and haven’t since my baby was born.

I’ve noticed in the last two weeks this issue is back 🙄 it can’t even be the baby putting a huge amount of pressure on it right now but I’m finding I’m quite often leaking and it’s only after I’ve just been. I wore bladder leak pads every day at the end last time so going to have to go back to that again from now 🤦🏼‍♀️ You usually assume the issue after having a baby or while pregnant is that you can’t hold it but for me its only ever at those times weirdly

Nic2908 · 01/03/2023 03:22

Hello beautiful ladies. I didn’t want to just disappear into thin air, our gender scan today didn’t go as planned. I’ve lost the baby. Completely and utterly did not see it coming. I’m going to pop back on nearer the time so that I can watch for all your beautiful announcements. Thank you so so much for all of your support over the last 4 months. You ladies rock.

Marmaladebear · 01/03/2023 06:05
