Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

@1sttimemummy2022 you mean the midwife thinks you didn't count properly?

1sttimemummy2022 · 18/03/2023 21:21

@NatGee haha no! She just thinks I'm too early in the pregnancy but in my last pregnancy I had a scan at 6 weeks and everything was fine! To be honest she wasn't the best and I didn't feel that confident with her answers! We shall see I guess x

addictedtotheflats · 18/03/2023 21:25

@Rebs23 I know its crazy. We were trying for 10 months with my other child!! Its crazy how I have symptoms already from a few cells! Getting tightening and boobs are sooorreee!

Mrsrobinsonx · 18/03/2023 21:51

@jennybb i have the exact same thing, that’s the main symptom I’ve had. Mostly at nights x

38andtrying · 18/03/2023 21:53

Guys do people's sore boobs come and go? Mine seems to have calmed down this evening

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 18/03/2023 21:55

Gingerbreadmama · 18/03/2023 22:43

@38andtrying mine hurt all the time, at night when I turn over its like they're being tugged off my chest 😂

Gingerbreadmama · 18/03/2023 22:49

So I am 6+6 and I've booked in for a scan and a blood test for the gender! Still no sickness really, but I cant taste anything spicy at all, so I keep cooking things way too spicy for my husband 😂. I barely fancy any food really, everything just seems gross, but still no sickness-thank god. I get dizzy a little and tired. I'm glad I've booked the scan, I feel anxious not having anyone tell me its okay, I'm paranoid all the tests are lies! Even though the test lines from the start have immediately shown, before the control line actually, and are even darker, but I still worry!

@TTCJJB
I hope to continue right up until I give birth but will modify certain movements and definitely not push as hard in workouts as I do normally. I’ve done lots of research about training in pregnancy and feel comfortable with my limits. I’ve trained at high level all my life so I think that helps too. With my son I trained all throughout pregnancy and my water broke when I was training 😅
I’m tired now ( week 6) so I’m definitely training at a much lower pace, but hoping my energy will pick up in a few weeks.
I’m not too familiar with netball, is it a lot of contact? If it is I would stop it early but maybe do drills with the team when you wouldn’t risk any contact.

It's technically a non contact sport (but anyone who plays knows that isn't true), I play at a fairly decent level so there's lots of jumping and heavy landings, with the potential to fall.

Will just play it week by week at this stage.

@NatGee
@Mrsrobinsonx
That is so reassuring to know about others experiencing acid reflux/heart burn. I feel like alls I read about is it happening during later pregnancy so it was making me worried 😅

CaffeinatedLondoner · 19/03/2023 08:20

Yes, only got my BFP 2 days ago and feeling...terrified/anxious/shocked and knackered. No other symptoms, yet!

Fox01 · 19/03/2023 08:38

As suspected, my ODT test is pretty much negative (faint indent looking line). I believe this pregnancy has ended in a chemical and that is me out. 😭😭

Wishing you all the best for your pregnancies and hopefully I'll be back on mumsnet in a few months with a positive positive after FET 🤞

vix_85 · 19/03/2023 08:45

So sorry to hear this @Fox01. Wishing you all the very best for the coming months x

Mldn · 19/03/2023 09:19

Feeling super anxious for no real reason. Tempted to book a scan for later today. Anybody who has had a scan 7 weeks - was it vaginally & do you need a full bladder etc? I’m 7+2 today. Wanted to hold out until at least 8 weeks to see a bit more but super anxious.

EBeans · 19/03/2023 09:44

@Mldn hope everything is ok!
My scan was at 6+6 and they did it vaginally - they recommended an empty bladder. I was worried the picture would be unclear and it would make me more anxious but we could see everything and saw their heartbeats.

Mldn · 19/03/2023 09:49

Thank you @EBeans - I still feel all the symptoms etc I just have crazy anxiety something is wrong! It’s been a weird weekend, feel a bit like a lost part. Anybody else? Nobody knows I am pregnant, the pub was a huge part of my social life before this. I’ve really reduced my running, which was also a big part of my life. I’m just finding it tough thinking my life is going to be so mundane for 9 months. I realise I’m being stupid & I’m so lucky to be in this position after 2 months of trying. Hopefully it’ll be fine once I’ve hit the 12 weeks mark & can start doing things again as more people will know! Just a crap weekend I think, and the sleepiness & nausea defo hasn’t helped my mood!

EBeans · 19/03/2023 09:53

@Mldn sending lots of love! I know exactly how you feel and am struggling with the same myself. Keep pinching myself for being so ungrateful, but I'm stuck in my own head about how little exercise can do. I've almost completely given up running because I'm too exhausted and I'm feeling like I'm losing myself. My other half has been saying the exact same - it will all be different once it gets to 12 weeks and that's only just over a month away.

Mldn · 19/03/2023 09:57

@EBeans thanks love! I know, I feel awful feeling down about it but I really do feel like a lost part. Exactly, I think the exhaustion & having to tone things down I’d usually be able to do & enjoy alone - like running, has defo made me feel worse this weekend. I spent most of yesterday sleeping & feeling sick. It’s not the most glamorous thing is it!! But hopefully it’ll all be worth it & like you say, in a month or so, we can tell everyone & a fun new life will hopefully resume x

Peasinapod1 · 19/03/2023 10:02

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well. i’m also due first week of November (I think!). I’m joining as I’m hoping to gain tips/moral support as I feel absolutely gross. I’m not throwing up but I feel sick from waking up to falling asleep and no food is good, I’m struggling to drink too. I bought some squash to help but it made it worse! The saliva is also here - does anyone else have this? I’d forgotten how gross it is, I’m spitting it out every 5 mins. Ugh! what a moan. This is baby 3 for me and have a 3.5 yr old and a 21 month old and I feel so bad I’m basically grumpy tired sicky mum now!

sending love to everyone and waiting hopefully for any good tips from you lovely bunch - thank you in advance!! Xxxxx

EBeans · 19/03/2023 10:06

@Mldn sounds like we had identical days yesterday so I can sympathise! Usually weekends would be for long runs with the dog... I ran 2km yesterday, got a stinking migraine, walked home in a sulk and spent the rest of the day sleeping and feeling sick, glamorous!
Have you told anybody yet or are you waiting for the 12 week scan to break the news? X

Mldn · 19/03/2023 10:11

@EBeans yesterday was super tough! My partner was out all day, which is absolutely fine. But omg I was vile & so upset. I woke up & ate some toast which made me feel sick immediately, then slept until about 4pm. Then felt guilty I hadn’t been outside all day so went for a walk which lasted about 15 mins cos I was so grumpy & sleepy! And this morning I’ve woke up super nauseous again. No, we haven’t told anybody. Have you? Hoping I’m just having a hormonal few days 🤞🏼x

Travellingislife · 19/03/2023 10:11

@Fox01 sorry to hear this, take care of yourself💜

@Mldn I feel you, it’s such an emotional time and I go from feeling happy and convinced everything will work out, to super anxious about having another loss. If it would make you feel better just book a scan, you should be able to see a heartbeat by now. It would be an internal scan and you won’t need a full bladder. I had one at 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat, that made me feel less anxious.
Not being able to train like you did or socialise to the same extent will definitely have an impact on your mental state. Can you go to the pub and not drink “ because you’re focussing on your running”? That’s what I tell people and they are not suspicious ( I think haha!) I regularly go months without drinking because I’m focussing on training so it’s not unusual, I’ve never been a big drinker anyway though.
I feel really nauseous and fatigued ( all I want to do is to lie in bed) but I force myself to go to the gym/ swim/ run etc every day but I take it very easy, it seems to help with my nausea and mood. Sending hugs!
