Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

Hi all...
Just been In tesco getting mothers day things & my sickness started. Not actually being sick just extremely queasy.
Had to get a happy meal with a coke afterwards haha.

Mac Donald's just hits differently when you're pregnant! Grin

NatGee · 18/03/2023 12:50

@Bubblemachiene I'm beginning to feel that way, extremely queasy. What is it with the carbonated drinks? I'm living for the fizz

NatGee · 18/03/2023 12:50

6 weeks today

Englishgirl9 · 18/03/2023 13:08

Hi all, can I join? 6w 5d today with EDD 6th Nov. I had an early scan at 6w due to an early loss in January. This is due to be my second child, I have a little boy who is 2 (nearly 3).

TTCJJB · 18/03/2023 14:51

For those of you who are active, for how long are you hoping to remain so?

I'm a netballer and play at least three times a week, obviously I do want to remain active and probably can do for a while yet but neither do I want to take any unnecessary risks.

Chellooo · 18/03/2023 14:51

@Bubblemachiene it's so bad isn't it?! the only thing I can stomach are waffle fries and full fat coke lol poor baba hasn't seen a vegetable in weeks

Mldn · 18/03/2023 14:58

@TTCJJB I plan to just stick with it as long as I feel okay! I’ve already had to strip myself back though cos I don’t feel great. Pre-pregnancy I was marathon training & running upto 50 miles per work… now I am literally managing like 3 5ks, if I am lucky, on the treadmill at a reduced heart rate! I’ve upped my walking as my running has declined & I also swim 2k 3x per week! All that said, I slept for approx 12 hours last night, managed some toast and a glass of water this morning & then fell back to sleep until like half an hour ago. I’m so tired. My resting heart rate is sitting around 80-90bpm & I am so nauseous x

Mldn · 18/03/2023 15:01

FYI @TTCJJB - I am 7+1 & only started feeling this rubbish in the last week or so! Up until 4 weeks I was running very regularly, upto half marathon distance. But then had to reign it in. So I guess just go with how you feel x

Iamthemusic · 18/03/2023 15:24

Hello everyone. I have an EDD 10th November by my calculations.

We were planning to TTC at some point (later?) this year for 3rd baby, and I rather impulsively suggested to husband we have unprotected sex a couple of times in February... And fell pregnant immediately.

Somewhat surreal and I'm having a little trouble believing it. Though I am of course very fortunate to conceive easily.

I don't feel pregnant at all but am trying not to be too anxious and maintain the mindset what will be, will be. I have been pregnant 3 times, 1 was a miscarriage around 7 weeks and I did not have any pregnancy symptoms other than a missed period. In the 2 pregnancies that led to my children I have been exhausted and sick as a dog from about 7 weeks onward. Now I don't want to feel hideously nauseous but I don't want a miscarriage either(!). That said I was not devasted by my previous miscarriage and know I would cope with another early miscarriage.

I am a bit excited/happy, a bit indifferent in case of another miscarriage, a bit apprehensive re coping with 3 children, got the niggling terror of having a multiple pregnancy (heaven help me if I end up with 4 under 5, thankfully it's pretty unlikely!!!) and also feeling a bit guilty about my middle-child-to-be who to me still feels like a baby and is still breastfeeding (>18 months old though so they aren't really a baby!).

Nice to meet everyone; I am catching up on the full thread.

Iamthemusic · 18/03/2023 15:27

I also had a bunch of sports clubs I was really looking forward to starting this spring but no one to blame but myself that this may not be possible🙈

I am feeling private and ideally want to conceal my pregnancy as long as I can - not sure if this is going to be easier (as after 2 children my baseline appearance is of a pregnant woman) or more difficult (because of my practiced and willing abdominals) this time around

Travellingislife · 18/03/2023 16:01

@1sttimemummy2022 I had an empty sac when I was 6 weeks, 7 weeks if you count from the last period and the sonographer said it looked like a 4-5 week pregnancy. I knew my dates so understood this wasn’t a viable pregnancy, but if you’re less than 6 weeks you can definitely have a positive outcome now.

Travellingislife · 18/03/2023 16:09

@TTCJJB
I hope to continue right up until I give birth but will modify certain movements and definitely not push as hard in workouts as I do normally. I’ve done lots of research about training in pregnancy and feel comfortable with my limits. I’ve trained at high level all my life so I think that helps too. With my son I trained all throughout pregnancy and my water broke when I was training 😅
I’m tired now ( week 6) so I’m definitely training at a much lower pace, but hoping my energy will pick up in a few weeks.
I’m not too familiar with netball, is it a lot of contact? If it is I would stop it early but maybe do drills with the team when you wouldn’t risk any contact.

Psqueak87 · 18/03/2023 17:10

Blondie1024 · 18/03/2023 09:56

@Psqueak87 I'm another with little to no symptoms but I'm 2 weeks behind you. I very much don't feel pregnant and worry it's all in my head lol. Im also 35 but having my 3rd.

Glad it’s not just me! We’ve been trying so long (8 years on and off) the lack of nausea was making me so paranoid, but I’m thinking I should just appreciate it! The ultrasound has made it very real!!!

MooseWL · 18/03/2023 17:56

@Iamthemusic I'm also still breastfeeding my 2.5 year old 🙈 (something I never thought I would be doing but here we are) but really hoping he'll wean when my milk dries up.

I'm doing a dance show when I'll be 12 weeks. I'm in a ballet dance wearing a white tutu I kid you not. First pregnancy bump didn't show until 20 weeks +, but betting I'm not that lucky this time round.

Those of you hoping for sickness, don't. 🤣 I'm truly fed up of it already (started around a week ago for me and I'm 7+1). Thrown up 6+ times today. Sigh

hopeandpray1988 · 18/03/2023 18:06

@1sttimemummy2022 I went to the epu for an early scan with my first and there was a sack but they said they wouldn't know for another 2 weeks if I was pregnant for definite as I was only 5 weeks at the time and to wait until 7 weeks. How many weeks are you?

I've just tested again as my anxiety is horrendous today and it's looking promising so maybe I should relax a bit? I'm about 13dpo xx

Due November 2023 ✨
Leiapup · 18/03/2023 18:17

@TTCJJB I play netball too. I’m 7 weeks today and I’ve stopped playing matches because the season has just finished anyway! I think I’ll plan on going to training still until around 12 weeks if I feel OK. Then I’ll switch to other types of exercise

Leiapup · 18/03/2023 18:26

@1sttimemummy2022 I had some pain on one side and had a scan at 4+5 which showed an empty sac. Then I got rescanned at 5+6 which showed a yolk sac and a heartbeat 🥰

jennybb · 18/03/2023 19:37

I'm 4 weeks 5 days and since 4 weeks I've been having really bad acid reflux type feeling in my throat (only way I can describe it). This is my second pregnancy, first was ectopic last year. Anyone have any idea if this will end up turning into actual sickness or just keep getting worst?

NatGee · 18/03/2023 20:02

@jennybb felt really rough earlier today so I spoke with my sister about it (she had nausea throughout her two pregnancies). She mentioned heartburn as another symptom she had so I am assuming it's in addition to feeling nauseated. I just pray it all ends by the end of the first trimester 🙏🏽🙏🏽

TheswedeJ · 18/03/2023 20:19

Hi
I’m due 19 November or thereabouts. I’m soo excited, but also worried because I’m older, I’m 39 later this year… it will be my fifth child. I’m feeling fine so far except sore boobs.

1sttimemummy2022 · 18/03/2023 20:21

@hopeandpray1988 I'm 5+5 according to my app but then sonographer thinks around 6+3 but midwife just thinks I'm too early.

Have got a follow up scan in 10 days but the day before my little girls 1st birthday 😫 xx

addictedtotheflats · 18/03/2023 20:40

Im 4 weeks today, tested 3 days ago and got 2 very clear positives 🙈 first month of trying aswell so still in a bit of disbelief. Think im due 22nd November. I think ill get an early scan 7/8 weeks. I've previously had anembryonic pregnancy a couple of years ago but not tried to conceive since. Hopefully all goes well this time!

Due November 2023 ✨
Rebs23 · 18/03/2023 20:50

@addictedtotheflats im the exact same as you! Apparently Due 22nd November which happens to be my husband’s and my sister in law’s (his sister) birthday as well so I can’t believe it! I’m taking that as a good omen ✨ it was also our first try so I feel your disbelief, we can’t believe how lucky we are.

I’ve booked an early scan where I’ll be 7+4 ☺️

thank you to everyone in this thread I’ve just read through it all and it has been soooo useful and insightful to a newbie like me. Good luck to us all 🍀

im very sorry to hear about the losses people have experienced, you’re all so strong 💖

Brock84 · 18/03/2023 21:09

Hi all

oh wow, it’s so lovely to join. I’m 4+4 due 21st November. 39 and this is my first pregnancy. Feel like it’s been an overwhelming start as I’ve a cold and went to the doctor during the week and said I’ve a bladder infection 🫣 only symptom is acid reflux so that makes me nervous. Think I’m going to get a scan at 8 weeks.

lovely to meet you all! 💕
