Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

@Sb86 thanks love. It is normal discharge, feel pathetic stressing over it when people have worse symptoms. Yeh, I have read that DTD can irritate & give spotting which would be normal, but I just can’t face the panic if feel if I was to see blood. Even though it doesn’t mean a great deal or anything is wrong! Heart goes out to everybody experiencing horrible things.

Skyla01 · 14/03/2023 20:11

@sweetdreams23 really sorry for your loss.

@Mldn I remember last pregnancy I had a bit of spotting then felt too scared to DTD after that. Also as you say it won't do any harm but I can totally understand.

Nausea has started for me this evening. Mild so far but dreading what might be to come. Couldn't stand the smell of OHs dinner cooking. Oh the joys! Just need to remember how lucky we are though to have a (hopefully) healthy pregnancy.

@sweetdreams23 I am so very sorry for your loss.

Gingerbreadmama · 14/03/2023 23:10

Hi everyone, I'm joining in :) stopped taking my pill December, January didn't really have a real period, was just brown discharge. Ovulated around the middle of February, and found out I was pregnant just over a week ago. According to NHS I'll ll be due 5th November. I've done so many tests, each time the positive line comes up before it's even finished, but I just feel paranoid as nobody professional has told me 😂. Got my appointment end of march. I've had no sickness really, only if I'm tired or haven't eaten, which surprised me as I get travel sickness really easy. Boobs feel like they're about to drop off 😂, and I find it hard to fall to sleep, I lay down and I feel like I'm bored 😂

Leiapup · 14/03/2023 23:24

@Mldn yes on all counts - ha. I’ve also had increased discharge on and off, but thicker. Obviously googled it a lot and came to the conclusion that as long as it’s white and doesn’t smell then it’s probably ok.
Also so paranoid every time I pee and don’t want to see blood, I take my phone torch in sometimes 🙈
And yeah we haven’t dtd either because I’m worried about that, despite everything I read saying it’s fine!

Leiapup · 14/03/2023 23:26

@Gingerbreadmama I think I’m due 4th November and my symptoms seem the same as yours, but I don’t want to speak too soon on the nausea front because I know it could suddenly worsen any day. And I get travel sick too. Boobs hurt loads!

Gingerbreadmama · 14/03/2023 23:50

Hopefully we get by without! How odd would it be if the travel sickness people didn't get it 😂. I'm looking at doing one of the gender blood tests in a few weeks, I really need to know!

Travellingislife · 15/03/2023 06:38

Hi everyone,

I’m just over 6 weeks and after a lot of thought I decided to have an early scan, everything looked good and it’s a huge relief as I previously had a scan at 6 weeks and then they couldn’t see anything, just an empty sac. I ended up losing that pregnancy about a week later. I know it’s early days but I feel less anxious now. When I had that previous early scan I said I would never have one again but the fertility specialist I’m seeing recommends scans at 6 and 8 weeks so I’m going with that advice, I rather know early if something is wrong.

Are there any other fitness tracker enthusiasts on here by the way? I noticed when I get pregnant my heart rate increases and my heart rate variability decreases, I’m quite obsessed about tracking these two but I’m not sure it’s healthy as it freaks me out if my hr drops for example.. I don’t seem to be able to stop myself though..

Hope everyone is doing ok!

EBeans · 15/03/2023 06:45

@Travellingislife congratulations on the pregnancy and glad your scan showed everything was well Smile

Yes I'm a fitness and sports watch enthusiast too - my Apple Watch data is what made me think I could be pregnant! My HR has gone up from low 50s to mid-high 60s at rest now, HR variability down and my VO2 max has dropped to an all time low, which makes sense as I can't get a run out for the life of me at the moment, far too exhausted!

Travellingislife · 15/03/2023 06:58

@EBeans thank you!
Did you test? Sorry if I’ve missed a post where you’re saying how far along you are 🤪 It was my stats that made me think I was pregnant too! The most noticeable was the large drop in hrv about a week after ovulation and my rhr increased with about 6-8 a week later. I notice that when I train in the gym my hr goes crazy, very high with very little effort and when I’ve been running ( barely jogging ) my hr is as high as if I’d go for a fast 5k!

Chip131 · 15/03/2023 07:04

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 14/03/2023 22:04

@Chip131 I've been taking 5mg folic acid and pregnacare my dr prescribed them for me

Thank you, I think i do meet the criteria for the 5mg but how do I get that when the midwife wont see me until 8 weeks? This is on the phone also xxx

EBeans · 15/03/2023 07:15

@Travellingislife I did! When I was 5 days late and my temp hadn't dropped... and my watch completely cleared my 'expected period' I tested and instant positive.

My RHR had started to go up about that point too and I was really struggling to run so thought something was off. I'm exactly the same as you now! My pace has dropped off a cliff because my HR goes so high at slower paces

EBeans · 15/03/2023 07:19

@Travellingislife oh sorry and I'm 6+4 today. I was just over 4 weeks when I found out.

JJ2023 · 15/03/2023 07:41

Today is the day when last time (last month) I started to have an early loss from a chemical. Have been super anxious but yesterday I noticed my nipples were really sore (didn’t get any symptoms last time). And today I’ve got my dye stealer at 17 DPO 🥺 I’ve just been testing on cheapie strips but wanted to do a FRER today. Here’s to be cautiously optimistic now onwards…

MeganC104 · 15/03/2023 08:21

The nausea and food aversions seem to have arrived for me. I was never actually sick first pregnancy so wondering if this time will be worse. Getting it in the evening too it seems. Haven't told anyone yet and going to a evening event with family on Saturday where they'll be food. I might have to just tell them 🤣

Skyla01 · 15/03/2023 08:35

@Travellingislife I haven't noticed a change yet but I remember last time I was pregnant my resting HR was so high, especially by the later stages. Like 90bpm while I was sitting on the sofa, I got a lot of palpitations too. Was horrible knowing how high my HR was! As soon as I delivered resting HR went back to under 50. Midwifes kept rechecking my HR on postnatal ward because it was "too" low.

It's amazing what happens to your body, especially if you're used to be active.

Are you able to keep up much exercise at the moment? And @EBeans ?

Skyla01 · 15/03/2023 08:37

@Bubblemachiene definitely positive! Congrats

Mldn · 15/03/2023 09:05

@EBeans @Travellingislife also a fitness tracker over here! I found out the day before I flew away to run a half marathon.. I was mid marathon training and was up to 15 miles at that point, comfortably. My half marathon went so wrong & took me 35 mins longer than ever before! I was gutted but since then have struggled to run a 5k. So I have established that pregnancy defo messes up you vo2 max & HR. I get a lot of dizziness & when I check, my HR it’s sky high. Yesterday I stood up and walked about 5 steps & it was 105 bpm! My resting HR is hovering around mid 70s constantly & it’s usually be mid 50s x

Chellooo · 15/03/2023 09:10

Ladies I just need a little cry. I just feel so awful. I just feel nauseous all day, it wakes me up at night, there doesn't seem to be any end to it, and I'm only 6 weeks, I heard it gets worse and worse until wk 13. I just feel horrid. I cant go to the gym, I don't really want to leave my house, just lie on the sofa.
Sorry to be such a downer but it's just so horrible. This is my 1st, really really wanted baba, and I'm just hating every minute. Just feeling sorry for myself I guess

EBeans · 15/03/2023 09:16

@Skyla01 I'm still trying but having a nightmare with any exercise! Got to 3K on Sunday and had to stop in the park for a cry because I felt so rubbish, walked back home. Yoga is a bit easier but not helped by nausea.

@Mldn that sucks, but amazing effort to run a half marathon pregnant! I can't do a 5k without a breakdown now so I can't imagine what it took to get 13 miles done. It's crazy what pregnancy does isn't it, it's dashed my fitness in a couple of weeks. I get the same HR going for a walk now that I'd get on a steady run before 😭

EBeans · 15/03/2023 09:19

@Chellooo congratulations on the pregnancy and so sorry you're feeling rubbish. The nausea has really hit me this week too, I spent an hour on the bathroom floor last night convinced I was going to be sick.

It's putting me off food but I have found bland carby foods make me feel a bit better. Bread, crackers etc, all the beige. If I can face leaving the house, walking has helped here and there.

Mldn · 15/03/2023 09:25

@EBeans thank you! I was convinced that I’d be able to continue & run a marathon whilst pregnant. Absolutely not a chance!! I have given up on my usual running cos it doesn’t go very far or I stop be have to walk back! Cos my HR is so high, I’ve been setting an alert on my watch to 150 bpm max & just plodding through 5ks on the treadmill. Takes a lifetime in comparison but still managing to get it done. I just had to put my ego in the bin! Other than that I’ve been swimming & walking. I usually do reformer Pilates but I’m waiting for my booking in appt to check what is okay to continue with as I read some core exercises are best to skip, and the classes or 25% core. I’m just being super cautious!
