Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

@MeganC104 yes! Toddler is a boy and I've wondered the same if it's a boy again! Interestingly my Sister's second pregnancy was very like mine (she was quite sick with her first - my niece) and had a boy! I know this isn't the case for everyone as some people get bad sickness with boys too but in my case I am curious!

Hello again to the new newbies! 😁

anna2101 · 14/03/2023 10:13

@Chellooo yep that's me ! I'm 6+4 and it's been like this since early last week. This is my first pregnancy so I have no point of reference but my mom said that her nausea only lasted about 2-3 weeks with all of her pregnancies so I'm just reallyyyy hoping I take up after her (otherwise so many of my plans over the next few weeks are screwed 😅😅😅)

Chellooo · 14/03/2023 10:53

Aww thanks ladies so nice to know we're all in this together! Here's to ginger nuts and healthy bubs 😂

Skyla01 · 14/03/2023 12:19

Hey, can I join you ladies? Got my bfp a week ago, due date 12th November. This is my second pregnancy. Like others I am scared of morning sickness again! Sorry some of you are already in the thick of it. I felt rotten by 7 weeks last time (maybe a bit earlier, can't quite remember) so I'm trying to enjoy each day at the moment, in case I get it badly. Going to enjoy eating and being able to exercise while I can.

@Chip131 I think if you feel up to it you can exercise and diet a little bit in pregnancy, if you have extra weight to shift. Walking and swimming are nice gentle things to do. The first trimester can be tricky though if you get sickness so be kind to yourself.

Randyforgiles · 14/03/2023 12:38

Oh you prompted me to weigh myself 🙈 my BMI is 28, I'm a stone and a half heavier since I got pregnant with my last baby 5 years ago. I told myself this morning I was going to eat sensibly when I can but then we went to McDonald's for a 'coffee' and of course I got a McMuffin. So it starts now 😂 I phoned community midwives bit they won't take you til you're six weeks in this area so I'll phone next week I suppose! The sickness hasn't kicked in yet properly but I really empathise with those of you in the thick of it, it's awful.

Shaker21 · 14/03/2023 12:54

Hey girls....can I join? I found out yesterday on 12DPO that I am pregnant with our first. We have been trying 15 cycles and is a Letrozole baby. My LMP was 17th February so it is working out that I am only 3 weeks + 4 days today which seems super super early! My period would be due tomorrow so feeling really anxious to try and get past that and feeling anxious about tests getting darker. I did get 1-2 weeks on CB digital yesterday.

Chip131 · 14/03/2023 13:05

Im hoping the diet and exercise thing can work quite well for me as I feel sick as a dog😂 hoping i can get my BMI down to 30! I don't know if this will be possible though.

What vitamins are everyone taking?

I had a look on amazon and its a minefield..
Xxx

bakugo · 14/03/2023 13:42

Thanks @Sb86 tired today as I didn't sleep too well. I get little bouts of nausea but as soon as I eat I am fine!

A bit crampy today but feeling good apart from that. I'll enjoy it whilst it lasts 🤣

I am hoping the sickness phase doesn't last too long, I expect it to kick in over the next week or two.

How are you feeling?

@Chip131 I am taking pregnacare max, seemed to have everything in there that you need

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 14:11

Congratulations @Skyla01 and @Shaker21 🎊

I found out really early too @Shaker21 at 8dpo meaning I was 2 weeks 6 days, of course you want to know but I wish I'd have waited because it caused a lot of anxiety waiting for my af date to come and go.

@Chip131 I'm taking vitamin b6, d, iron and folate.

@bakugo I didn't sleep too well last night either so yup I'm also tired today. I think something maybe happening on the nausea front but it's not kicked in properly yet.

Shaker21 · 14/03/2023 14:20

Thanks @Sb86....yeah I am glad I only have till tomorrow to wait to pass my expected period date. I am hoping it is a good sign feeling tired, bloated and crampy and will feel better once past tomorrow.

Skyla01 · 14/03/2023 14:37

@Shaker21 congratulations, especially after a long journey so far. Fingers crossed the weeks pass quickly for you, although it can really drag at first.

@Chip131 I was only taking folic acid but went and bought some pregnancy vitamins today (own brand superdrug- they were half the price of pregnacare). I'll only take them for the first trimester, in case my diet becomes rubbish due to sickness. Last pregnancy I lost 1 or 2kg by 12 weeks cause I wasn't eating much. Second trimester I gained a kg a week for a while though- mad!

Amylaura15 · 14/03/2023 16:06

Can I join please ladies? I just got my BFP yesterday at 9/10DPO, due 26th November at the moment! We’ve been trying for 11 months for our second but I’ve had a few early miscarriages so I’m cautiously happy!

I find you’re always desperate to find out early but it does then make the time drag on!

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 16:38

@Shaker21 yeah they are all normal symptoms so that's good 😊

Congratulations @Amylaura15 sorry to hear about your losses, I know it just adds to the anxiety. Fingers crossed everything works out ❤️🌈

MeganC104 · 14/03/2023 16:50

7 weeks today!! 😁 Booking appointment in less than one week 😮

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 16:56

@MeganC104 very exciting, it might seem a little bit more real then 🥰

Blondie1024 · 14/03/2023 17:31

Hi ladies I'm going to jump on this thread as according to the due date calculator I'm due on 20th November 😊. Technically my period is due today, but I found out on Friday about our happy but shock news.

Runnergirl1 · 14/03/2023 17:41

Welcome to all the newcomers x

sweetdreams23 · 14/03/2023 17:43

Sadly I'm out, had my scan on Monday due to little bit of spotting and couldn't see anything then started bleeding heavier shortly after the scan (internal). Got repeat bloods tomorrow but not looking good. This is exactly the same situation I was in in December sadly, so going to take some time and focus on my little girl and hopefully try again at some point when we have the energy to go through this rollercoaster again! Good luck everyone with your pregnancies and babies Smile

Mldn · 14/03/2023 17:46

Apologies for the TMI - I’m 6+4 today & just wondered if many others are experiencing a lot of white (normal looking) discharge? I’ve read that’s it’s normal but just paranoid every time I go for a wee & see more! Also, scared to death of seeing blood when I wee. The anxiety really is horrible!

Whilst I’m not overly wanting to do the deed anyway as feel super dizzy, I feel too scared too anyway! Does anybody else feel the same? I know it isn’t supposed to harm anything but I’m so paranoid of the potential bleeding that may follow!

Again.. sorry for a pretty gross post! A nervy day over here today!

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 17:54

I'm so sorry @sweetdreams23 praying for you and sending love ❤️ be kind to yourself x

Mldn · 14/03/2023 17:57

@sweetdreams23 so sorry. Also, I must’ve started writing my previous post before you posted - I would never be as insensitive 😞 so sorry, take care of yourself 💛

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 17:57

@Mldn I wouldn't worry about it if it's just normal discharge, if it begins to smell or change colour then obviously get it checked out. I haven't dtd since we found out, I started spotting a few days after the bfp and I'm not risking anymore irritation that may cause bleeding. Hopefully it stops and once I'm feeling upto it then I will dtd but right now not a chance.

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 17:58

Congratulations @Blondie1024 🎊

Blondie1024 · 14/03/2023 17:58

@sweetdreams23 I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending hugs 🫂

Blondie1024 · 14/03/2023 18:00
