Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

Congrats @Mrsrobinsonx!

Welcome to the other newbies! This thread moves so quickly I'm struggling a bit to keep up!

7wks today! A few symptoms have ramped up a little but I can't really complain. Fairly similar to pregnancy 1 so far so thankfully not overly worried about lack of morning sickness etc and just trying to enjoy it. Also enjoying being able to still roll over easily in bed, lie on my back and bend to tie my shoes etc before bump gets bigger 😆 silly things but you do start to miss them! It's so easy to be bogged down with anxiety in this first trimester so I'm really making an effort to appreciate where I'm at right now!

Don't think we'll bother with an early scan so fingers crossed everything is progressing ok.

For those asking about when to tell people etc, it's such a personal thing isn't it. Our first was during lockdown and as we'd had relatives who had experienced MC we decided to get through the uncertainty of the first trimester and have a healthy 12wk scan to show them when we announced. It was quite nice having it as our secret for a while and it was lovely to be able to share the news knowing that things were all on-track. This time we went completely the other way and told our mothers and sisters pretty much straight away. Partly cos I thought I might need support with our toddler and partly we just felt like sharing the excitement this time and if the worse should happen we would want support anyway. It worked for us and it has been nice being able to share the early bits of the journey. But I don't regret doing it differently with our first.

Anyway, that was more of an essay than I intended 😆 Sorry!

4+2, still cant quite believe it! Feel sick in the mornings which im weirdly glad about😂😂 and also having food aversions I think as could not eat my sandwich today. A little crampy and bloated. I think im going to book an early scan for when im around 8 weeks, I can't wait much longer than that! Xxx

MeganC104 · 13/03/2023 15:30

@SnookyPook is your toddler a boy or girl? I have a boy and had very little nausea. This pregnancy seems the same. I'm wondering if it's another boy.

7 weeks tomorrow for me. Currently battling another virus so can't really tell if I'm pregnant or just sick.

bakugo · 13/03/2023 16:38

Hi All,

First post here. I found out I was pregnant a few days ago, it is the first time I have been pregnant so all very new and I still don't quite believe it! I've tested positive on 3 different brand of tests, line progression looks good and I did a Clearblue this morning which said 2-3 weeks which all adds up as I am 5 weeks today (since LMP).

We'd been trying for almost 2 years and were just about to get referred to a fertility specialist so a big relief we have been able to do it naturally.

Not much symptoms at the moment, the day before my BFP (day of missed period) I felt really rough and also had terrible night sweats. Currently having odd cramps, on and off fatigue, very hungry and breasts are fuller. It is early days so not expecting much just yet.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all!

Congratulations on the news. I am a few days ahead of you and 5 weeks today, like you still sinking in. It is our first and will also be getting an 8 week scan. They said you can get as early as 6 but after reading about the progression it seems to me it would be better to wait till 8 as there will be more to see and check.

No sickness or food aversions for me, I want to eat everything 😂Enjoying it as I suspect in a few weeks things may change!

Mrsrobinsonx · 13/03/2023 08:05

@clswhatwillitbe I'm the same gestation as you I believe!
my daughter will also be 9 when baby is here and I have a 5 year old, I’m not going to tell them until I’ve had a scan (maybe an early one) x

Ah thats great news congrats! Yeah I am now debating the same waiting until 12 weeks scan. But might be going for an early scan (to ease own anxiety) so may tell her a little earlier and swear her to secrecy for 4 weeks 🤣 it's prob more the husband I need to worry about telling everyone!

LMW84 · 13/03/2023 19:45

I’m 4+6 and feeling pretty anxious at the moment - it’s my first and I’m 39 and a little overweight. I’ve had no spotting/bleeding and have some mild cramps (and very achey boobs!), but I’ve become a bit obsessed at reading anything and everything the internet has to say about pregnancy - I know I should stop looking but can’t help myself 🤣 Think we’ll probably book in for a private early scan just for reassurance, as the 12wk mark seems soooo far away!

JJ2023 · 13/03/2023 20:14

@Mrsrobinsonx congratulations on your 2-3 on clearblue! I’m nervous to test on it again after last month but maybe tomorrow, we’ll see! Are you also due on 19th Nov?

Mrsrobinsonx · 13/03/2023 22:42

@JJ2023 that was the 1st digital I’ve done so was a nice surprise!
according to lmp my due date is 18th November x

Noneyerbuisness11234 · 13/03/2023 23:00

Hi girls can i jump on got a positive clear blue digital last Sunday said 1-2 weeks done one today said 3+ weeks leaflet said that means 5+ have an eps next Thursday very nervous have had 3 previous Mc how u all feeling

bakugo · 14/03/2023 07:00

@Noneyerbuisness11234 hi I'm also new too!

Sounds like your levels are progressing well! I hope your scan goes well next week and this one sticks 🙏

This is my first ever pregnancy so all very new to me, I'm approx 5 weeks and will have a private scan at 8 weeks. Paranoid at everything little cramp and twinge at the moment I'm sure it will ease the further we get along. Excited but terrified at the same time.

Randyforgiles · 14/03/2023 07:11

Hello, just jumping on! My due date from LMP is 18th November so 5 weeks today. My pregnancy was unplanned so it's still not settled in completely. I have two DDs 6 and 4. Suffered from HG on my 2 pregnancy so I'm very apprehensive about the next week or so to see if it kicks in. I don't think I'll have an early scan but who knows how I'll feel in a few weeks.

Chip131 · 14/03/2023 07:38

I have weighed myself this morning (big mistake😂) and my bmi is 35.1. I would really like to get that down in this first trimester - is that wise? Xxx

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 07:52

Congratulations to @bakugo @Noneyerbuisness11234 and @Randyforgiles 🎊

How's everyone this morning? Also how's everyone working out their due dates because going off LMP my due date is 16th of Nov and I'm 4+5weeks. I know you can change your cycle length but it still doesn't change the number of days in a week does it haha🥴

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 07:55

@Chip131 I haven't weighed myself yet but I would be interested to see how much weight I put on over the pregnancy. It's not wise to diet but it's a good idea to try and eat healthy (I know it's difficult when nausea kicks in) and exercise if possible even if you just go for walks that will help x

ElleBurton88 · 14/03/2023 08:34

Hi all, this is my first MN post and third pregnancy. I have two children, DD6 and DS4 (7 and 5 when I'm due). I've been lurking for a little while and reading your posts has helped the loneliness of the first trimester - nobody except my OH and 1 friend knows that I'm pregnant. I am 6+3 today, due 4th Nov on LMP, and nausea began two days ago and is getting steadily worse. I told myself that I'd be healthy this pregnancy, I even signed up to do a 10k trail run with friends in a few weeks time but so far I'm mostly sat in bed eating toast trying not to throw up. Anyway... family are traveling to stay with us for OHs birthday when I'm 9 weeks so our plan is to go for a private scan the day before and announce it when everyone is here. I think that's it for me. Thanks everyone ☺

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 08:39

Hey @ElleBurton88 congratulations 🎊 I said the same with my last pregnancy which sadly ended in mc but I started out OK and then nausea hit and I had a subchorionic hematoma so I couldn't workout anyway.

Hopefully you'll feel better in the second trimester and can start doing bits then and eating a more varied diet. For now as long as you can eat and keep it down that's the main thing 😊

NatGee · 14/03/2023 08:48

Good morning to all the new joiners and congratulations :) @Sb86 i am feeling alright, had my first pang of nausea yesterday but mostly feeling OK. I'm 5+3 today. I am not dating from my lmp because I know exactly when I ovulated. The dd doesnt change by much but it's good to know I won't be overdue if I am potentially told I am
how are you feeling?

Sb86 · 14/03/2023 08:59

I know when I ovulated as do natural cycles with the ovulation tests and temps, so going off that I'm 5 weeks today. But when I rang epu they just went off LMP but that could change at the scan. I'm still feeling alright at the moment, I thought I felt a bit different last night with nausea but I think it may have been hunger. I keep thinking my spotting is calming down and I get a bit more, it's so frustrating.

Chellooo · 14/03/2023 09:00

My god, does anyone else feel like absolute death, from the moment they wake up. Not being sick but constant nausea. I'm 6+2 and just want to fall asleep and wake up when bubs is fully cooked...but on the brightside I've managed a ginger nut this morning 😭

Mrsrobinsonx · 14/03/2023 09:16

@Sb86 i just went from the due date calculators online and my cycle length etc, mine says Edd 18th nov, 4+3 today so yours sounds right to me 😆

I've really been struggling with nausea last few days. I feel like throwing up would make me feel better but I just retch. If I eat it calms it for a while but I'm really not fancying anything. Even water smells funny to me at the moment.

ElleBurton88 · 14/03/2023 09:29

Oh no @chellooo that sounds awful. I was like that for around two weeks (week 8 and 9 if I remember correctly) last pregnancy and I'm scared that's how I'll be feeling next week. I was so bad that I apparently texted my friend saying that I'm definitely never having another baby again... yet here I am...
