Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

Hey all, a couple of questions please as this is all so new to me! 4+1 today.. That feels crazy to say.

When do you contact the doctor?
When are you telling people? Im desperate to tell my Mum but OH says its not a good idea as still so early which I get.

Also debating an early scan- when is the best gestation to go for these? Xxx

I called my GP the other day, they sent me a text with a link to the NHS website with a form I need to fill in but it says to fill it in at least 6 weeks pregnant. Then the midwife will get in touch to book in my pre 10 week midwife appointment.

I've told one of my closest friends (as has my DH) and I told my sister last night. We were thinking of telling our parents soon. The way I see it is that if something does happen then these are our closest people who I'd want/need support from. Im 4 weeks today ☺️

Can I ask how everyone gets their hcg results? Where can I get this done? I know my doctor on NHS wouldn't do this as standard. I'm 5 weeks now and would like to get this done and would like to do it again say in 2 weeks or so to see its still progressing

Mldn · 12/03/2023 10:15

My tiredness is really getting to me! I had over 12 hours sleep & still feel like I could sleep more. Anybody else the same?

Sb86 · 12/03/2023 10:19

Congratulations @Psqueak87 🎊 I wouldn't bother taking more tests now you're 6 weeks. Have you thought about booking an early scan? I'm 4+3 weeks today and have known since 2+6 weeks according to the calculations. I had a bit of dizziness before I found out and some heartburn but only thing I have now is slight cramping and tender nipples. Some people don't get symptoms and others kick in a little later x

Congratulations @Mummytobe2023 🎊 an early scan will hopefully be able to offer you reassurance, there won't be much to see but they will be able to check everything is where it should be. It is really weird when you first find out and still is until up until the scans and beyond. Get booked in though and hopefully you'll get the earliest available appointment for your dates.

Mrsrobinsonx · 12/03/2023 10:33

@Mldn I’m only 4 weeks and I slept 12 hours last night too 🤣

Mldn · 12/03/2023 10:39

@Mrsrobinsonx god it’s a killer! I love my sleep anyway, but usually enjoy waking up refreshed.. I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus 😂 sleep & dizziness have been my main symptoms so far x

JJ2023 · 12/03/2023 11:20

Hi all, joining 😊 I’m 4 weeks today. But super nervous due to chemical pregnancy last month. The lines on my tests this time are so much stronger so I have everything crossed 🤞

Sb86 · 12/03/2023 11:35

@Chip131 I registered the day after I found out I think. As for telling people we didn't tell anyone last time and then had to tell my parents and close family that we'd lost the baby. I'm telling my mum on mother's day with a card, I want my mum to know so that I can have her help if needed with my other children but if the unthinkable does happen she can be there for support. I won't be announcing it to everyone for a while yet though, be nice to have a proper scan photo before that moment. I read this morning that earliest recommended time for a scan is 7 weeks as you should definitely be able to see more and a heartbeat.

Sb86 · 12/03/2023 11:39

@Mldn I haven't noticed any extreme tiredness yet like in previous pregnancies but I am taking higher doses of vitamin d and b6 which I think might be making a difference 🤔

Congratulations @JJ2023 🎊 and fingers crossed 🤞🏼 it sounds promising so far.

Mldn · 12/03/2023 11:48

@Sb86 its super annoying! But worst things to be doing than getting some sleep I guess. I take the Holland & Barrett Folic Acid with Vitamin D & also Feroglobin which has multi vitamins in! Today must just be a meh day. Super sleepy, low mood, HR high which is usual case when I’m experiencing dizziness - which I am. And I’ve been crying 😃

In laws are coming round in a couple of hours… that’s tests my patience on a normal day 😂

Happy Sunday hey 😵‍💫

Sb86 · 12/03/2023 11:52

@Mldn oh dear...Good luck 😅🤣 hope they don't stay too long and you can have a rest 🙏🏼

Mldn · 12/03/2023 11:58

Thanks so much @Sb86 ! Feeling guilty that I’ve skipped the gym today.. but honestly, I don’t think I can make it outside. Trying to be kind to yourself is a bloody hard task! Have a lovely Sunday xx

Bibijuju · 12/03/2023 12:01

Hi everyone, tentatively joining. I have a bit of a strange situation - I am 6 + 1 according to LMP. Found out I was pregnant after a random bleed 11 days after what I thought was my 2nd period postpartum. I have a 3 month old rainbow DS so this pregnancy wasn’t planned at all!
Feeling all of the emotions especially as I’ve had a couple of bleeds but no cramps. Unsure about when to get a scan as worried I’ve had an MMC or it’ll be too early to see anything!

Psqueak87 · 12/03/2023 16:59

Hi @Sb86 I am from the UK but live in Canada now so things are a bit different here. I had my first doc appointment yesterday, she wants me to get a scan asap, but the ultrasound place don’t have any availability for over two weeks. So I can have it at 8 weeks, but desperate to have one sooner! I guess I’ll just have to be patient. Really wanted it before Mother’s Day so we could share the news. Not sure if I want to tell our mums without a scan!

Psqueak87 · 12/03/2023 17:01

Thank you @Maxime34 I’ll see if my dr will let me do another HCg test whilst I wait for the next scan. It’s kinda weird but I’m desperate to feel some morning sickness so that I can feel like it’s real.

MooseWL · 12/03/2023 18:58

I'm 6+2 and really regretting spending the first week or 2 worrying that I didn't feel sick cos now it's constant and awful 🤣

I'm 6 weeks today & have been having the same worries.... but realise I need to be careful what I wish for!! The only symptoms I've really had is sore boobs & slight cramps... I'm slightly worried though that my cramps have turned more into pains, it's not bad pains but different to what I've felt before... & sometimes just on one side 😖😣 has anyone had anything similar?

MooseWL · 12/03/2023 19:24

@SayTx is it constant or just sort of cramping pains now and again? I'd say my cramps sometimes hurt but they aren't very regular and I can often feel them in one place but it's not always the same side.
I think if it's always the same side and you're getting it quite a bit maybe give epu a call just for peace of mind?

It's just now & again hasn't been severe pain - I think the worry was the fact that sometimes it seems to be on my left side. It's good to know that it may not be uncommon for it to sometimes be on different sides though! This is all vvvvvvv new to me & my mind can't help but constantly go to the worst place. Thanks for the reassurance, wishing you lots of baby luck ✨🤰🏼 xxx

Hi all, New to MN. I got my BFP on Friday. Works out I'm just over 4 weeks due 18th November according to NHS website. Nervous as hell as been a long time since first baby! (9yr old) Also, have a 9yr already who is desperate for a sibling. At what point would you tell her the news?

Mrsrobinsonx · 13/03/2023 08:05

@clswhatwillitbe I'm the same gestation as you I believe!
my daughter will also be 9 when baby is here and I have a 5 year old, I’m not going to tell them until I’ve had a scan (maybe an early one) x

Mrsrobinsonx · 13/03/2023 08:06

Hi, few questions!
when did everyone get their clearblue digital bfp? I’m 15 dpo today and wondering if it’s still too early or not.

also, I’ve been taking pre conception vitamins for 6 months but now can I use the rest of this pack (about 2 weeks worth) and then switch to pregnancy ones or just buy new ones now? They have all the folic acid/vitamins needed to support pregnancy. Thanks!

I'm not sure on the pregnancy vitamins, I switched over to the pregnancy max ones.

I had my clearblue positive on 13 or 14 DPO. I couldn't pin down my ovulation date but it was CD22.

Sb86 · 13/03/2023 08:14

Morning @clswhatwillitbe first of all congratulations 🎊 secondly I'd be wary of telling your daughter too soon not in case anything happens but more if you want to keep it secret from others. I'm not sure when we are telling our children and the youngest is 14 next week 😅 I don't think he could contain his excitement and it would definitely come out!

@Mrsrobinsonx I think you can finish the pack and then move onto pregnancy ones x
