Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

Oh bless you, fingers crossed they can get you on the meds and help little bub stick 💛 sending lots of positive vibes and sticky baby dust!

Did you notice the soreness stopping around the time you had spotting? 😢

WiltsMum35 · 11/03/2023 08:53

@Sb86 sorry my above post was to you 🙂

sweetdreams23 · 11/03/2023 09:17

@Sb86 it's just such a anxious time isn't it. The waiting game is hard but trying to stay busy! With my first pregnancy I sailed through the first trimester completely oblivious of what can happen! Hopefully your scan goes well and you can start the medication soon!

Sb86 · 11/03/2023 09:19

@WiltsMum35 no there doesn't seem to be any correlation between the 2 and my tests have got darker each time. My spotting isn't as bad as it was in my last pregnancy but I don't think it started until later. Hopefully everything will be OK up to the scan and I can get progesterone and go on to have a healthy and uncomplicated pregnancy xx

WiltsMum35 · 11/03/2023 09:29

@Sb86 keeping everything crossed for you lovely 🤞🏼

Sb86 · 11/03/2023 09:30

Thankyou 🙏🏼 @WiltsMum35

38andtrying · 11/03/2023 09:48

Girls is it normal for symptoms to come and go? I've woke up this morning and feel great, didn't need to rush to pee, feel energetic and my boobs aren't as sore. Im currently 4w+6. Test this morning darker than yesterday but since i had a missed miscarriage I don't put my faith in Tests tbh

sweetdreams23 · 11/03/2023 09:56

@38andtrying I had one day last week my boobs weren't sore at all but that symptom returned during the day! Totally normal to come and go, hormones are really up and down. I agree regarding not putting all faith in tests though, as the day of my miscarriage last year I had the strongest line I'd seen!

NatGee · 11/03/2023 10:51

@sweetdreams23 good luck with the scan hopefully the sacan will go well and ull be able to start on the progesterone after that
@Sb86 sorry to hear about your spotting. Since you had it last pregnancy it sounds like it might normal for you? how are you feeling otherwise?

NatGee · 11/03/2023 10:53

@38andtrying I think so cos ive been feeling great too but just a few days ago i had a lot of cramping, headaches and backache. Now, im feeling great. 5 weeks today

Sb86 · 11/03/2023 11:14

I mc my last pregnancy back in October 2022 @NatGee so definitely not normal (should have probably mentioned it on the post)hence why I've had an early scan booked by epu and them saying once that has happened I can go on progesterone x

NatGee · 11/03/2023 12:26

@Sb86 ah yes, that changes things. Hope it goes well xx

Speaking of scans, Ive just received a letter from the hospital inviting me for what must be an early scan. The date i was given is earlier than my booking appointment.
Is that strange or did they make a mistake? Id only be 7 weeks at that point

Sb86 · 11/03/2023 12:32

@NatGee have you had a mc before? If not then it is a bit odd but don't question it, only thing is if you turn up and they send you away 😕

NatGee · 11/03/2023 12:55

@sb86 no, but im old (39) and itd be my first so im thinking thats why. I feel ungrateful saying this particularly knowing some people pay for early scans but I dont really want one. Dont think its gonna change the outcome of whatever may be happening.

Sb86 · 11/03/2023 13:18

You ain't old @NatGee but unfortunately anything over 35 is classed as that...in which case I'm old too (37 tomorrow). That will probably be why then I guess and yeah I understand your way of thinking, they will just want to make sure the pregnancy is in the right place. I had a scan at 5+5weeks because of the spotting and they found the subchorionic hematoma, I lost the baby at exactly 8 weeks so an early scan didn't make a difference afterall but at the time it was reassuring x

NatGee · 11/03/2023 13:47

@Sb86 the eggs of a 36 year old women are much more viable than those of a 39 year old lol but, thank you for saying that 😁 really hope your scan goes well and again sorry for your loss. What is the treatment for SH, if any?

Sb86 · 11/03/2023 14:12

@NatGee thankyou me too 🙏🏼❤️🌈 I will update everyone when I've had it. To be honest it's still a bit of the unknown, progesterone could help, drinking fresh orange and Pomegranate juice is helpful but I'm not sure that's what docs recommend or if that's just going off the health benefits but some women swear by it. Pelvic and/or bed rest can sometimes be advised but again it depends where in the world you are because I don't think there's many docs in England who would advise that. Baby aspirin can help too apparently, I will be mentioning all these things at my scan if it turns out I have another. Fingers firmly crossed that I don't 🤞🏼

NatGee · 11/03/2023 14:15

@sb86 anything we can do to help our bodies along, i think we should try. Progesterone production is helped by vitamin c but sugar interferes with its absorption. Sugar is bad anyway, i have such a sweet tooth and i know its not great for my health. Ive cut it right down since getting my bfp. Should have done it ages ago really. Maybe that could help too? And yes do let us know how you get on x

Sb86 · 11/03/2023 14:21

Oh I know me too @NatGee the Pomegranate juice is 100% its quite expensive but the health benefits are great so it's absolutely worth it. I have a small glass of orange with my lunch to help with iron absorption and that's my limit. I am trying my best to make sure I can help with any healing that needs to be done. I take vitamin b6 that is good for helping progesterone production and have been taking that for a few months now. Just gotta do what we gotta do haven't we 😊 x

Leiapup · 11/03/2023 18:59

Hey all, joining as I think I’m due 4th November, so am 6 weeks today 🥰 Had a rocky last couple of weeks because I had some pain in my lower left abdomen, had a couple of early inconclusive scans (worried about ectopic) but then one yesterday, which showed up in the right place with a little heartbeat so seems all is OK at the moment!

Sb86 · 11/03/2023 19:17

Hey @Leiapup 👋🏼 congratulations 🎊 and glad the scans showed all was well with the little one ❤️

Bubblemachiene · 11/03/2023 22:39

Congratulations & welcome @Leiapup

Psqueak87 · 12/03/2023 04:45

Hello, been trying to conceive for 8 years. Never been pregnant before, diagnosed with unexplained female infertility. Finally started IUI in november, did three rounds, none successful. Had one month break before our IVF consult and miraculously got pregnant in that one month.

Wasnt expecting it so didn’t test until my period was 6 days late. Just had a blood test at 5 weeks and it showed hcg at 2799. Is this normal? I’m now exactly 6 weeks, and kinda paranoid that I don’t seem to have any symptoms. Due date calculator shows November 4th.

At 4 weeks, before I knew I was pregnant I had huge bloating and some cramping, but nothing since. Other than exhaustion but I put that down to working a lot and my low iron. Super paranoid as I’m 35 already and have been trying for so long. Should I keep taking tests? I see that some people are. I took 4 on the one day and then nothing since.

Due November 2023 ✨
Mummytobe2023 · 12/03/2023 07:19

Hi everyone - can I join please?

I’m 35 and DP is 42, we are pregnant with our first and I am 4 weeks today with a due date of 19th November. We got pregnant on cycle 4 which we were delighted with given our ages.

Before I got my BFP I was feeling dizzy which is very unusual for me but now just a bit of bloating.

We are planning on having an early scan between 6 and 7 weeks but haven’t arranged that or called the midwife yet - seems a bit scary to make it real especially as I’m nervous about MMC.

Congratulations to everyone else and looking forward to getting to know you all better!

Maxime34 · 12/03/2023 07:28

Hey @Psqueak87 and @Mummytobe2023 congratulations!

Your tests look great @Psqueak87 and that HCG number sounds great too, it really is about how it increases though so if you're worried then go for a second test to compare. It's quite normal not to have loads of symptoms right away as they develop as the HCG goes up but some lucky women actually don't have many at all and that's normal for them. I'm also just about 6 weeks and my symptoms and only now just ramping up which was the same with my DD so Its what's normal for me but equally every pregnancy is different. I totally understand the worry though as I've had a few early losses so these first weeks are incredibly worrying. I wish you a really smooth pregnancy.

@Mummytobe2023 an early scan is a good idea to put your mind to rest, I've also got one booked in for 7 weeks... Such a horrible wait to get there!

How is everyone else feeling? My tiredness is on zombie level and nausea has just joined the party.
