Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

@ukMummyof1 I'm 5+1 today and took clearblue this morning - got the 3+ weeks :)

MooseWL · 04/03/2023 08:24

@anna2101 I'm also 5+1 today! Got my booking in appt on 21st.
I'm having crazy vivid dreams at the moment!

anna2101 · 04/03/2023 08:39

@MooseWL oh same! I must have had at least 5 different ones tonight- quite enjoy it :) I'm still waiting for them to get back to me, I referred a week ago.

sweetdreams23 · 04/03/2023 08:40

@MooseWL yes me, I've always had vivid dreams in early pregnancy
it's one of the first symptoms I get!

Phoenix40 · 04/03/2023 10:08

Ladies question. I was testing today again with clear blue and had two samples, one was cold from an hour ago and one was fresh, the cold one shows 1-2weeks and warm one 2-3 weeks…. Erm…. Not sure what to think…. Maybe smth is wrong with the pregnancy.

anna2101 · 04/03/2023 10:15

@Phoenix40 I don't know about CB but I know on easy@home tests it says you should only use samples that are still warm , so I wouldn't trust the 1-2 result

AnnieCa34 · 04/03/2023 10:17

Hi all, just been catching up reading the thread. Sorry for all those with the losses it’s so hard. I am currently 4+3 although I did a weeks digital ydsy and got 1-2 weeks where I thought it would be 2-3 so am panicked that this one isn’t going to stick but this morning a pink test had a nice dark line. I have a 2 year old who will be 3 2 weeks after my due date! Due date is 9th November :-). I have requested to join the Facebook page too! Am tired and sore boobs and cramping but that’s is so far. Last baby was lockdown so I hid it from everyone! This time we have told parents! Hope everyone is doing ok. X

Mldn · 04/03/2023 12:05

hi - I am currently 4+6 with my first pregnancy! I just turned 35, we only started trying in January & so surprisingly caught on my second cycle! Other than tiredness I am feeling okay. I had dizziness the first week I found out but that has passed now. I just wondered how people who usually exercise & finding it? I was mid training for a marathon - not unusual for me. However, the weekend before I found out I was due to run 12 miles & couldn’t even get by 3 miles! Again today I tried a slower, shorter run (have giving up on the marathon idea as baby is much more important!) but my heart rate literally shoots straight up and I can barely manage a mile! Is this normal? Congrats to all xx

treeistree · 04/03/2023 21:43

Hello can I join?
Just got my bfp this morning
Ttc no 2 for 20 months
I've not taken it all in yet
Af due Tuesday

38andtrying · 04/03/2023 22:30

Tentatively joining, 4 weeks pregnant due 12th November. I had a missed miscarriage back in December, I'm 38 and absolutely terrified that I'll have another miscarriage.

I'm nearly preparing for a miscarriage to be honest, anyway congrats to everyone and I really hope I'm not leaving this thread soon x

TinyPuds · 04/03/2023 23:19

Congrats to all the new joiners with their bfps! 🤩

If anybody wants to join the November babies fb group please do! m.facebook.com/groups/1226773181379075/?ref=share

I think I’m about 5+3 today. Because I found out over a week before my period was due time seems to dragging on so slowly 😅 the 12 week scan feels like a lifetime away 🙈 my 8 week booking appointment has been set so that’s something to break the time up between at least.

What’s everybody’s thoughts on early scans?

Id LOVE to have an early scan - we had one with my daughter and it was so lovely to see her wiggling around. And then it was amazing to see how much she’d grown by the 12 week scan!

I don’t think I’m going to have an early scan this time though - we moved house in December and we’re renovating most of it, so can’t justify the cost when we know we should be putting all our pennies into that. They’re £75 where I live 😩

xxx

38andtrying · 04/03/2023 23:51

@TinyPuds if I get that far I'll defo have an early scan, the EPU have told me they would give me one at 7 weeks or so given I had a missed miscarriage before.

i booked a private early scan at 8 weeks lastomime and it was that which picked up the miscarriage, i never had a single symptom of miscarriage, no pain, no bleeding etc so if I hadn't got an early scan god knows it could have went on for weeks after before anything would have happened And I wouldn't be pregnant again now.

I think if you can get an early scan defo take it, get all the care and attention you can is how i feel

MeganC104 · 05/03/2023 07:36

@TinyPuds hubby has said no to early scan. I'm on the fence. If you live close to a window of the womb they do weekend discounts to fill empty slots. Instead of £80 its £55 for early reassurance scan.

Phoenix40 · 05/03/2023 09:29

Im going today to determine the exact age of this pregnancy (periods all over the place).
I checked the hcg levels yesterday and they seem to be on 4-5 weeks.

I found early scans with all my children very reassuring and I was definitely more relaxed on the 12th week scan.

MooseWL · 05/03/2023 09:39

I didn't get an early scan last time so waited until 12 weeks but it was a long wait (especially since I've found out earlier this time!) I think I will get one around 8/9 weeks. We're going away at Easter and I'd quite like to be able to tell family we're going with then. Also if all goes well this will be my last pregnancy so I want to enjoy it as much as possible. My first was a Covid pregnancy so whilst that had its benefits (so many naps and no one touching my bump!) I feel like I missed out on sharing a lot!

Wotsit6 · 05/03/2023 09:52

Hi All,
I've been following this thread for awhile and finally having the courage to join. I'm 4+5 with an IVF baby after nearly 4 years trying for my first. I have an early scan booked for 7 weeks as part of my treatment and time has never moved as slow as the last few days so the scan still seems like a lifetime away. Congrats all on BFPs :)

38andtrying · 05/03/2023 11:53

Anyone pregnant here over 35 and had a miscarriage? I'm 38, miscarriage snd ERPC in December and would like to know how you're calming yourself ?

Runnergirl1 · 05/03/2023 11:58

@38andtrying I’m with you. I’m 36, I had a mmc and then my rainbow baby. This is the first time pregnant since her and I’m always thinking what if it happens again but we really have to stay calm and positive. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do and just have to keep everything crossed. I hope we can get through this and have our baby in our arms come November x

Chellooo · 05/03/2023 12:00

Morning ladies, tentatively joining as I got my bfp last weekend, but have had a mmc before so the panic is real. Think I'm nearly 5 weeks, but think I ovulated a bit later so could be 4? The clearblue on Monday said 1-2 weeks so I don't even know

It's so nice to see others from ttc chats, hopefully we all stay in this journey together.

Is anyone else terrified of even going to the loo incase of bleeding? It's always in the back of my mind 😭

I'm clinging onto hope though that I'm feeling pretty rough this time (weird thing to celebrate lol) which comes in random doses, and have pretty sore boobs so 🤞

sweetdreams23 · 05/03/2023 15:21

@Chellooo hi! I'm in the same boat, had a miscarriage in December and now completely paranoid the same thing is happening- it's horrid isn't it! Just taking a day at a time and know that what will be will be but I just don't want to go through that again!

Phoenix40 · 05/03/2023 19:54

Totally terrified going to the loo…

inhad my early scan today and seems like my pregnancy is super young because there was nothing visible apart from well prepared endometrium (2cm thick) but also there is a small blood amount, 1.1ml which is worrying.
tomorrow I’m having another Beta hcg to see if it grew the necessary 100% in 48h. If it did, that would mean the pregnancy is just very young. If it doesn’t that will mean it’s not developing.
we’ll see.

Fruitandnuts · 05/03/2023 20:23

I’m 4+5 Today. Used a clear blue on Monday showing 2-3 weeks and used the other one today and it showed 3+. Only used the other test to show my mum. I told my sister on Monday and decided to tell mum to have both their support. I’m 39, been trying for 15 months and first pregnancy. I’ve been listening to first trimester meditation every night which really helps me relax. Also went swimming yesterday and it was very relaxing to just float. I’m very anxious and definitely having an early scan. I asked mum and sister for tips to help reassure me and they said just stay positive and to keep telling Mahler I’ve done all I can. It really helped talking to them, eased my mind to share how I’m feeling.

SnookyPook · 05/03/2023 21:21

@Fruitandnuts hi! Sounds like a great approach. Everything is so uncertain, especially in this first trimester. I'm trying to keep zen about it and a bit fatalistic ("if this is my baby then it will all go fine...") May I ask what is the first trimester meditation you're using? I'm 37 and this is my second. I'm currently a weird mix of calm and also a bit anxious with just not knowing what's going on! I didn't do an early scan with my first and am a bit loath to this time too mainly cos of the cost but will see how things go.

My first pregnancy was during lockdown and Hubby and I kept it to ourselves until after the 12wk scan. This time we've gone crazy and just shared with loads of family already! It's like the complete opposite of lockdown pregnancy! But I kind of feel happy we've been able to share the joy and excitement - whatever happens going forwards at least we've had that 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Phoenix40 hope you're doing ok - tonight must be dragging a bit. Sending hugs and lots of positive vibes. Xx

Fruitandnuts · 05/03/2023 22:07

@SnookyPook i go on you tube and search for first trimester mediation and there’s loads. I listen before bed and it’s all affirmations and mantras. Might not be for everyone but it’s definitely helped me fall asleep feeling nice.

PennyPenny1 · 05/03/2023 22:51

Hi everyone,

Congrats on all your BFPs!

Just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant and due in November but in the middle of the night last night I started getting isolated cramps on my left hand side. This morning I woke up and had pink spotting when I wiped.

Today I've had more cramping on and off in the same place and have had intermittent brown, stringy discharge throughout the day. Now I seem to have pink discharge. Just to clarify - this is only happening when I wipe but obviously concerned it may become heavier.

I'm trying to stay off google so wondered if anyone has any experience of this, not really sure what to do - do I just wait it out and see what happens given it's so early? Try and contact my GP in the morning? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks x
