Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

I have one on Sunday because we aren’t sure how far I am (got adenomyosis and my periods are all over the place) plus I’m 40yo so it’s better to keep the hand on it.

if your periods are regular then there is no need for early scan (other than just looking into the baby’s home and checking the HB ) which is great.

sweetdreams23 · 03/03/2023 14:26

@Phoenix40 not yet as don't want to tempt fate but will try book for around 7/8 weeks where you can see a heart beat clearly. We did the same last time and well worth the cost in my eyes!

MeganC104 · 03/03/2023 14:40

I'm not having an early scan. The wait for the 12 week one is going to be hard though.

I'm really struggling over here with energy levels. Taking naps daily cause I feel drained but having nightmares now too which wake me up. I'm writing this from bed currently with a banging headache too 😩

Phoenix40 · 03/03/2023 15:12

@MeganC104 oh gosh. Yes. The headaches are a pain! Had those in my last pregnancy. Cold compresses maybe? Worth a try…

anna2101 · 03/03/2023 16:10

I booked one for week 7 - only because as @LotzW says - 12 weeks feels like aaggges away considering I found out at 8DPO.

NatGee · 03/03/2023 16:45

When do you intend on telling your friends and family the good news? I am itching to tell everybody but I know its not the done thing.
Told my sister, she's the only person who knows, and that's because she's the closest thing I have to a mother right now.

LotzW · 03/03/2023 16:52

We've told both our parents and my siblings (I have 5 😂) so it seems like too many people know already and it's already outta hand 🤣

Phoenix40 · 03/03/2023 16:57

@anna2101 and at 7weeks there should be a heartbeat so v.good timing :)

Phoenix40 · 03/03/2023 16:59

@NatGee well… only the rest of our kids know (it was he’d not to with all the shocking screams 😂 even then they didn’t believe us lol ) we are planning to tell the parents once we do a Nifty test

WonderVibe · 03/03/2023 17:04

Just got my digital BPF so it feels real enough for me join!

Due 14 November according to natural cycles :)

Congratulations to everyone who has got their positives. Interested to know how long everybody has been trying for? Xx

Due November 2023 ✨
sweetdreams23 · 03/03/2023 17:17

@NatGee last time we told our parents early then it was heartbreaking telling them we miscarried so I really want to leave off as long as it is possible this time!

@WonderVibe congratulations!! It took just one month for us for both our daughter and this pregnancy so super grateful

NatGee · 03/03/2023 17:19

@LotzW yeah thats loads of people haha you know your siblings will have told their families too :) to be honest, i like that, why hide it? That way you can share all the joy together

@Phoenix40 aw yeah that makes sense to tell your other children. I hope those screams were of excitement? :D nifty test, oh, what is it? I apologise for my ignorance but I am new to all of this

@WonderVibe congratulations and welcome! It took us 10 cycles to get our bfp, I only found out yesterday but suspected a few days before testing because I bbt. How about you, how long did you ttc for?

ukMummyof1 · 03/03/2023 17:49

When exactly did everyone get their '3+' of a CBD? I've got 2 waiting but don't want to use them too early- I'm 5+4 today xx

anna2101 · 03/03/2023 18:00

@ukMummyof1 I'm 5 weeks today and want to take it tomorrow. Same time last week it was 2-3 and the week before 1-2, so hoping I will get the 3+ tomorrow. But I know 3+ can take longer so if it's not good news tomorrow I will test again in a week

Phoenix40 · 03/03/2023 18:02

@NatGee it’s a genetic test for few chromosomal abnormalities. And yes, kids were ecstatic even tho my 18yo didn’t believe us at the beginning 😂.

@WonderVibe congratulations 😍
we have not tried ;) it’s a surprise 😬 taking into account that technically I shouldn’t be able to get pregnant 🙈😁

anna2101 · 03/03/2023 18:03

@Phoenix40 yesss hope it will make it feel more real. I'm still not fully comprehending it all as it's my first.

My DH and I haven't told anyone yet. We might tell close family after the 7 week scan or alternatively might wait till 12 weeks to tell everyone all at once. It's not that we had any bad experiences but we just kinda want to keep it to ourselves and enjoy it together and not have to deal with everyone's reactions just yet.

Phoenix40 · 03/03/2023 18:05

@ukMummyof1 mine shows 2-3 so I even don’t know when I should check (the possibilities are endless 😂) hence the scan.

Phoenix40 · 03/03/2023 18:06

@anna2101 sounds good.
we are not saying to our parents either till the tests come back, so at least 11weeks. Oh and we will know the sex then.

MeganC104 · 03/03/2023 19:57

@ukMummyof1 I got it at 4 weeks+5.

We haven't told anyone. I might wait until I get our scan date cause we'll need childcare for our son but I kind of like no one knowing right now

ukMummyof1 · 03/03/2023 20:02

Thanks everyone! I'll take one in the morning then!

@MeganC104 we haven't either and won't be (given that I can hide my bump) until 20 weeks- or as close to it! 😂How long do you plan to keep it for?xx

SnookyPook · 04/03/2023 01:01

First time round, Hubby and I didn't tell anyone until after the 12wk scan! Partly because it felt like a fun secret and partly to save people worrying as my family had supported my sister through several early miscarriages and we wanted to tell them once we were through the worst danger zone (my Sister had a healthy baby girl by this time though which was great!). It was also lockdown so very easy to keep secrets!

This time round we've told our families almost straight away! We just felt we wanted to share the excitement this time, and also get support. I was conscious that pregnancy with a toddler could be a very different experience and I might need more help etc. We also decided that if the worst were to happen we would like support for that too. My sister has since had another healthy baby and anxiety around all that has lifted a lot so I felt people would cope better with the worries and possible bad news if it were to come.

SnookyPook · 04/03/2023 01:04

@behappy1736 so sorry - hope you're ok. ❤️

SnookyPook · 04/03/2023 01:08

@WonderVibe congrats!

Got pregnant on our third cycle which I'm super grateful about! Being 37 I had psyched myself up for it taking much longer. Although I did have a bit of a worrying year as I came off the pill last January but my periods just weren't starting up. I finally fully weaned my DS from bf and thankfully my periods returned almost straight away then in November last year! So over a year we were hoping but 3 actual periods.

MooseWL · 04/03/2023 02:33

First month for us too which I am shocked about as it took 20 months to conceive my first.
Similar to you @SnookyPook only got my period back at 22 months pp but it's been quite irregular since then. (I'm still breastfeeding too actually - hoping he will finally wean when my milk dries up 😅)

Phoenix40 · 04/03/2023 03:52

Congrats @SnookyPook &@MooseWL 😍
