Glad you’re feeling a bit better @sally16 . I know a fair bit about anaemia if you need any guidance. I’ve on Floradix already but am terrible at remembering to take it 30 mins before meals, so will likely move to something else soon.

@MidnightSunshine12 I was moved 10 days last time despite being sure of the conception date.

@AnnieApple123 Thankyou I'll definitely take you up on that as I was awful last time for taking my tablets🤦🏼‍♀️ that would be annoying 30 mins before meals as not always totally certain when you'd eat I suppose! Especially at work!

AnnieApple123 · 23/01/2023 08:09

@sally16 Yes exactly. I’ve tried setting alarms but we don’t eat at entirely consistent times. My next iron and thyroid bloods are due two weeks today, so we’ll see what they say but I’m guessing I’m going to need to go on stronger iron supplants.

@ChloeN I can’t quite believe it either! I know those first few moments are going to be terrifying.

@AnnieApple123 the worst few seconds I was terrible at my last one I was staring at her face when she first looked which I will not do again🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you @BCxx I haven't been drinking enough water due to sickness but I will have to up my game! Ended up phoning the GP this morning and have an appointment later to hopefully get some antibiotics, it isn't that bad currently but as I have an auto immune disease I don't want to risk getting poorly for babies sake!

BCxx · 23/01/2023 09:15

Good luck for the scans today ladies! 🤞🏼

@Desperatelyboredhousewife I think dehydration is one of the number one things that cause it, I had a bad one on holiday because I just couldn’t drink enough in the heat so sickness is probably making it really hard to stay hydrated enough. Hopefully you get antibiotics and they kick in quickly

BCxx · 23/01/2023 09:17

10 weeks today and still just gagging all the time but have only been sick that once at 6 weeks. Was so very nearly sick in a shower this morning and had to run out to get a bagel as fast as I could. I just find it so weird that I’m physically not sick this time when I was sick once a day at least last time with a boy and now this is meant to be a girl 🤷🏼‍♀️ Can’t decide if I feel less sick or if I was just so bad at managing it last time that I was always sick

Narwhal88 · 23/01/2023 09:24

Good luck today @AnnieApple123 hopefully all is well xx

AnnieApple123 · 23/01/2023 07:42

Thanks @LBF2020 !

Thats me today. First scan this pregnancy this afternoon at 13 weeks (I figured I couldn’t really procrastinate any more than that!). I’ve been trying not to think about it too much…

Good luck to you too @BusyBushBaby xx

I was up all night crying with nerves. 10 week scan was fine and now I feel silly. Sending you good luck for later!

sally16 · 23/01/2023 12:00

My gp made an appointment for bloods later today.. the reception just phoned to say it's been changed from nurse to my actual gp so I've got a feeling she's gonna sign me off work..
which I'm actually fine with.. but I'd need to speak to the band 8... as all our band 6+7 are off annual leave or day off.. and she scares me 😭

BCxx · 23/01/2023 12:45

@sally16 are you working today? Could you say it over the phone instead? I’m signed off just now (anxiety rather than anything pregnancy related) and I went home from work then phoned. You will be able to self cert for the first week so maybe the doctor’s line will start next week if that’s the case

sally16 · 23/01/2023 13:01

@BCxx I'm off till Wednesday night! So can probably just phone.. still nervous though..
i think she thinks I'm struggling again with my anxiety and I am but I've been powering through!

sally16 · 23/01/2023 13:01

@BCxx sent to fast! Thankfully she will just start it from today going by last time she signed me off right away, I'm already on stage 1 absence so I really hope she does anyway 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

AnnieApple123 · 23/01/2023 13:06

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. Just en route into London now for the appointment…

@sally16 How long are you signed-off for?

OP posts:
sally16 · 23/01/2023 13:11

@AnnieApple123 I'm not signed off as off yet 😅

BCxx · 23/01/2023 13:51

@sally16 hopefully she will then.. anxiety is the worst. I’d never experienced it til a few years ago and now it completely rules my life 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m going to see someone about it tomorrow for the first time ever, he claims to be able to cure you in 4 sessions and is different from a lot of other therapists who get you to bring up past events etc, he seems to do hypnosis and other techniques to get rid of it basically. His website is full of client videos of people who sound like me at the start so it’s worth a shot! I plan to take early Mat leave at 29 weeks and quit my job after, I’m only hanging on for the mat pay! Got another 4 week line on Friday but would still have 15 weeks to get through, don’t know how I’m going to do it!

Hopefully they’re understanding and you’re feeling better soon

I'm a bit like this at the moment. I don't think I've been sick this pregnancy but I was sick a lot with my son. I feel soooooo sick though! Just constant 24/7 nausea, fatigue and dizziness. And I'm gagging which I wasn't with my son. No idea what I'm having this time, but more than willing to fast forward to August at this point!!

You're not alone! I hope it passes for you soon!

sally16 · 23/01/2023 14:03

@BCxx oh wow!!! That sounds really good please let me know how you get on!
I'd never really had much of a an issue with it either but the past year it's been really rough! Some people really know how to trigger me too.. then I get paranoia.. it's exhausting 🤦🏼‍♀️

It will fly by!! I'm the same 😅 but gonna try it again after mat leave and if still not happy switch to another hosp! But it's so much effort as if you have young kids they have to let you work to your own availability!

CityKity · 23/01/2023 14:19

@AnnieApple123 good luck with the scan and well done for finally going for it!! Fingers crossed it’s all smooth sailing 🤞🤞🤞

AnnieApple123 · 23/01/2023 14:21

Thanks so much @CityKity . Just in the waiting room now. Had bloods done already. Hope I get called soon as this last bit is slightly torturous.

Had my scan today, all my anxiety was for nothing 😂 baby is SO good 💙 waved at us,
also busy eating its hand, nail biter like mum and dad already 😂

was so active! Literally using my bladder like a trampoline she could barely get the things she needed it was jumping so much 😂💙

We're so happy 😭🥺 can't believe how real it feels!
Private scan at 8 weeks was right, I'm a week behind from LMP so due date 5th Aug!
Fiance's birthday 15th, he's not looking forward to potentially sharing 😂

AnnieApple123 · 23/01/2023 14:29

Oh hurrah @BoodifulGoose ! Lovely to see.
