@Createcomet with you on the 12 week scan fear! I think even though I’ve had two private scans this time, when you go into the nhs one it just feels more serious and like they’re going to put the ultrasound on you and not see anything. I was so sure last time that’s what would happen, I basically went expecting nothing from it and was beyond delighted when I realised there was a full on baby in there! The fear of what they’ll find scares me too, more for the 20 week one actually. It was my least favourite bit last time as it’s so silent while they’re checking everything and they had to get a second opinion at one point. When she called the more senior sonographer in I just thought ‘oh no, this is what they do in films and then they say I’m so sorry..’ 😐 but she genuinely did just come to look at it and said it was okay. I will be so glad when that scan is all over and I have no complications hopefully 🤞🏼 Just need to take it one step at a time though 🙈 can we just fast forward to august actually?!

@VickiGo I've bled a few times like that, I'm 10wks today. I had an early scan and all was fine. If you don't have pain then it is just sensitivity, but if it gets heavier then call gp/111 and speak to someone.

I am with the dry skin and tired group. I've started to use mamma mio moisturiser which seems be good for my body. For hands I have started to use a little vaseline at bight before bed which is working very nicely.
I have no energy to even talk to anyone, I've just lay on sofa all day and probably do the same tomorrow. I cannot wait until I have more energy

I should be 10+1 now and I had the best day yesterday with my symptoms subsiding! Felt human for the first time in what feels a lifetime. Hopefully you ladies get a dose of that soon if not already as it was so refreshing to be able to functional all day and actually have a smile on my face for when my partner got home!! He was like who is this and what have you done with my fiancé haha.

@VickiGo I would put it down to the sex (otherwise it’s one heck of a coincidence) but always good to check. Good luck for Friday :), will be thinking of you!

Well that ‘nasty cold’ I’ve had for the past few days has turned out to be covid. Fun times!!! Anyone else have covid during early pregnancy?

@Hoping23 oh no! I actually had a positive covid test and pregnancy test same day 😂 it wasn't too bad tbh; the flu wiped me out more! Xx

@VickiGo I had brown discharge for a day and a half (which I also think was due to sex.. though I’ve had no bleeding after other instances of sex, which made me worry even more!). Had a scan a few days later at 10 weeks and all was fine. Am 12+ 5 days now and awaiting NHS scan on Tuesday. As others have said, it’s v common, though it’s scary at the time. Hopefully your own scan will come round quickly x

@SnowL2021 thanks for your message, I've phoned the pregnancy unit back this morning as have passed a couple of clots (albeit quite small and still brown), and the day unit are going to get back to me at around 9-10 this morning. Wore a sanitary pad overnight and there's not a speck on there and only happens after I've gone for a wee, but none when I've wiped before, so my future MIL thinks it may be a UTI but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ one thing that's keeping me sane this morning is thinking about how much I over share to literally anyone now that I'm pregnant 😂 usually quite prudish so telling every man and his wife about my downstairs this morning has made me chuckle xx

@VickiGo ive had bleeding from utis so could be that! Like bright red with a clot which seems weird to come out of that hole 🤣

@VickiGo I really hope you’ve heard back now and that it was reassuring.

Looks like we’ll be ready for a new thread this week. I was thinking of making a due date list to go at the top, now that we’re starting to head into 12 week scan territory. If you’d like to be included, just post your due date below.

@AnnieApple123 I didn't hear back from gynaecology so I phoned 111 instead and waiting for an out of hours GP to phone me! Got some very light cramping happening at the moment but it's not even as bad as the cramps I got when I felt everything was normal so fingers crossed! X

Think I've tried every test going to be sent home today, now doing a covid one, feel so dizzy! But all my numbers are good 😭

@AnnieApple123 ive seen people on other threads do that I think it’s a cute idea! Although what the hell do I put mine as, somewhere in the middle🤣

I had Covid over New Years. I took it very easy but it didn't seem much worse than the other time I had it when not pregnant, so I hope your the same.
Also now have a cold and my leg is in some kind of splint thing because I've sprained it. But the pregnancy part has been fairly easy so far
I have my 12 week scan at lunch time today (checked 3 times as was so surprised it's on a Sunday). Im exactly 13 weeks by LMP so will see what they say when they measure me today. I'm not holding out much hope of them getting a decent look, I have a retroverted uterus, I'm the size of a house side already and I haven't been able to poop in 3 days (forgot that pleasant symptom), it's going to be hopeless!

Due date by LMP is 7th Aug, I’ll update on Thurs after the 12 week scan if they change the date! We’ll probably be on another thread by then 😅

Due date by LMP is 9th August, got my scan a week tomorrow so will see what they change it to then but we'll probably be on thread 7 at that point! I can't believe how many we already have compared with the other threads with earlier due dates 😂

@AnnieApple123 thats what we had in the august 2021 one and it was so cool when it came to August and the babies started to arrive! We added c-section or induction dates nearer the time so they were in order. I’m around 22nd but section will probably be 15th/16th.. just waiting for 12 week scan to see for sure

So sorry @VickiGo that you’re continuing to go through this worry.

@ChloeN and others wondering, you can just give a rough date for now. I’ll do my best to keep up with changes as scan dates come in.

Due date by private scan 2nd August, official dating scan is Thursday though!

@AnnieApple123 I love that idea of including our due dates. I've had my dating scan, so mine is set at 29th July. Still thinking I'll probably get an August baby though!

DH has some friends who are moving to the end of our road, and they announced yesterday they're 15 weeks pregnant with second baby, so they're 2 weeks ahead of me. Will be convenient I think! They did an announcement on social but we've not shared our news with friends yet so they don't know we'll be coming up right behind them!
