@ChloeN yes we are lovely (instigated by me and not him).

1. If I bled I think I’d go into overdrive and I just can’t handle that with everything going on at the minute.
2. I struggle with the touchy feely stuff at the moment, everything hurts, I don’t feel sexy and the last thing I want is his tongue in my mouth. I can’t even brush my teeth without gagging.

TBH it’s more the latter that makes me want to not do it. How sexy is it to be having sex and gagging halfway through?! Not very! Haha.

@VickiGo i had the flu and pnemonia from 5 weeks to 7 weeks pregnant and felt dreadful. I didn’t take paracetamol for the first week but then gave in and had it every 5 hours. I did the honey and lemon in hot water thing too and had strepsils + a bit of vics on my chest. I don’t think any of that actually helped, rather resting and sleeping as much as I could and waiting for it to pass was the trick. I hope you feel better soon.

Does anyone know about massages/facials in pregnancy? I have a voucher for a spa day and they do have a pregnancy treatment but what I'd love is a proper back massage! I'm not sure if I should be laying on my front for too long?

@Firsttimemomma1 with my daughter we didn’t have sex the entire pregnancy 😂 and I don’t even feel bad about it. After my MMC I was terrified of anything happening, even though I knew it was safe. Also the first trimester I was so bloated and felt so gassy and uncomfortable I was just like absolutely not, do not come near me 😂 I’ve held off this first trimester again for all the same reasons, but now I’m feeling a bit more comfortable in myself and reassured I think I’ll be okay this time!

@LBF2020 im not 100% sure but maybe you could speak to the spa itself and see what they recommend? You might be early enough now to have a regular one, but I’d probably want to check first 😊

@PumpkinEverything i think as soon as that 12 weeks can confirms all is okay I’ll be jumping on him but until that point I’m a no go zone.

I don’t feel bad about it per se rather I just want to know he understands how I’m feeling and he says he does but then the next day it’s the same again and I’m like oh my god just fuck off with the sexual comments, it ain’t happening pal.

im a miserable bitch at the moment. Deffinitely just surviving.

Pleased to tell you myself and baby are ok - it was a threatened miscarriage. The NHS have been amazing. Out of hours dr after calling 111 told me to go to a&e. The gynaecologist inspected me and said cervix was closed and that they would book me in for a scan in the morning. Had more bleeding when I woke up, and had a call at 9am. Scan was booked for 10:30am. Babies heart was beating away and now measuring 10+6. He said the blood is mostly around the placenta, to take it easy and try not to worry. Most women go on to have healthy pregnancies he tells me. I now have their number to call if the bleeds gets very heavy or if I get a lot of pain. I feel reassured of course but whilst I’m still bleeding I think it’s inevitable that I will continue to worry! My 12 week scan is 30th Jan so will get to see bean again then. Thanks again everyone and wishing you all healthy pregnancies xx

@Lalalul oh what a worry but glad it’s good news and you got seen. Just take care and use this as a good excuse to rest. Fingers crossed you don’t have any more bleeding and it’s plain sailing from here x

@LBF2020 I don't think they will massage you if under 12 weeks as it's not recommended. Facials are ok though but you need to tell them as they can't use some essential oils. You can't go in hot tubs or steam rooms/ saunas either due to the heat which can cause miscarriage.

@Lalalul good to hear baby is ok. Fingers crossed the bleeding stops. Just rest and take care of yourself.

@Narwhal88 thank you for that advice about massage. My body's been feeling achey and I was about to book a massage, but may hold off a few weeks now. I will be 10 weeks tomorrow, am I OK to soak in the bath?

@P1pk A warm bath should be fine, just make sure it's not too hot. I personally won't be having a bath for a while but I haven't for my entire IVF cycle just in case as I was worried about infections and I'm a bit paranoid! That's just me though!
My back is killing me so would love a massage if I could!

@P1pk i have regular baths and they are very safe providing they are just warm and not hot. Hot being defined as anything that would turn your skin pink or red.

Hey ladies, for anyone not on the Facebook group, had my 12 week scan! Baby looked fab, it was having too much fun in there so she couldn’t get any accurate measurements! She measured me roughly 12w3d-12w4d so a bit ahead of what I thought! Only issue is I couldn’t have the screening so now need to decide whether to have the nipt!

What a horrible scare @Lalalul . So glad it’s been handled so well and that you have quick access to help now if you need. Really hope all stays well from now on though. xx

@AnnieApple123 thank you☺️ she said because she couldn’t accurately date the baby you can’t have the screening because if it was wrong it might put me in the wrong risk category! Bit annoying but nothing I can do! I’m going back at 15 weeks but then it’s too late for the screening xx

Aw congratulations @ChloeN ! 🎉 Great news about the scan! That’s a shame you have a wild one on your hands though and couldn’t get the screening done 😂 Would they not have offered a rescan in a few days to do it? Is the NIPT done through the NHS for free in that situation?

@BCxx thank you! I know crazy baby🤣 no I’m surprised they didn’t say I could try again in a few days! And no to free nipt, basically I just don’t get it 🤦🏻‍♀️xxx

@ChloeN thats a bit gutting.. seems mad they didn’t offer a rescan. They’re maybe just so full but if that’s a screening test they do then you’d think they’d try to do it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know NIPT is spoken about a lot on here but I don’t know anyone in person who has had it. I’m only just into my 30s now though so none of my friends have felt they were high enough risk to need to spend the money on it

@BCxx i know it seems quite an important thing doesn’t it, me either! I’m 24 so I’m hoping age is on my side and everything will be fine!
