I had some bleeding this morning but it was light and I know its these pessaries! Can't wait to stop them in the next few days.

@BoodifulGoose you aren't alone! We've told parents and each others siblings. We did say we would wait for most people until after 12 weeks but I'm now feeling like telling my friends and family when I see them. A lot of people are thinking I've fallen off planet earth because I've no energy and only want to sleep

Hi all. I’m super worried. I’m 10+4 and just had bright red/pinky blood when wiping. It wasn’t a small amount but also only there when wiping. I’m already off work with anxiety and now it’s through the roof. It’s late and I don’t know who I can talk to or what I can do. Midwife told me at booking appt to call 111 if I have any bleeding but I feel like I need to wait to the morning? My 12 week scan is 30th Jan. please any reassurance or advice? Thank you all xx

@Lalalul you could give 111 a call anyway, they might just tell you to speak to epu in the morning but at least you’ve done all you can this evening! If you’re not cramping along with the bleeding that’s a good sign xx

@BCxx my mum stays one street away and my sister 2 streets away lol they never offer to look after DS..
FIL is 83 and 3 towns over and asks to take DS and even picks him up from nursery 😂

@Lalalul if this is the 1st time you've had bleeding then I wouldn't wait until the morning unless that's the advice 111 gives you. It's most likely nothing if it's just a little bit without any cramps or pains but I would suggest calling and speaking to someone. They may be able to book you an appt for tomorrow with EPU

@Lalalul is your epu 24hours? I'd phone them first and 111 if they aren't open!
Hopefully it's nothing 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 but defo phone one of them to Atleast get some reassurance🚕

@sally16 our EPU doesn’t have a number, you can only get an appt with them if you have been referred by midwife/gp/111. My midwife told me to call 111 if I experience any bleeding. Just not sure if I should call now or wait until the morning as it’s late what can they do?. I’ve gone back to the loo about 3 times since and nothing but I do now have very light cramps that feel similar to my period cramps. I doubt I will be able to sleep tonight

@Lalalul that's so annoying! I'd defo phone 111! You won't sleep otherwise! They might be able to get you seen early morning or right now! Better to be safe than stress yourself further 💙

@Lalalul I agree with @sally16 to call 111 and speak to a professional now to put your mind to ease

Has anyone got any remedies for colds in the first trimester? This cold has hit me like a ton of bricks and not sure what, if anything, I can take 😒

Thanks @sally16 and @P1pk , I called 111. Now waiting for an out of hours GP to call me within the next 2 hours. I fear it’s going to be a long night :(

My baby is due on August 30th so who knows, it might end up being a September baby!

We just had an 8 week scan and baby measured 18.4mm and had a heart rate of 169bpm.

I can’t stop staring at the video of the heartbeat!!!

(First baby, kind on obsessed.)

I also have a nasty cold, hence hanging around on mumsnet haha.

I am just taking Panadol and trying to limit myself to two or three doses a day. I also have an antihistamine tablet my doctor prescribed for insomnia during pregnancy. That’s been helping me to get a decent sleep.

It is pretty yucky! I’ve had a ton of morning sickness and now I am a snot monster. Definitely not a glowing mum to be so far!!!

@sally16 aww that’s really sweet he’ll spend all that time with him ☺️ I don’t think people realise how hard it is day in day out and how much just a tiny bit of help can give you a break!

@Firsttimemomma1 thats exactly the same with her. She’s more interested in gossip to be able to feed her neighbours than she is actually taking any involvement in her grandchild 🤷🏼‍♀️

@BCxx oh all I ever want is 20 mins to do some shopping 😅 but he's so good! If my MIL was still alive she would be fighting me for him daily haha!

@Lalalul so sorry to hear about your worry, that was very much me yesterday too after some spotting. Have you heard back from a GP yet? The waiting is the worst. I hope they can see you today.

@LBF2020 that's so yummy! I've recently been diagnosed as coeliac so I'm scared my pregnancy cravings will be gluten!!

@Lalalul i have everything crossed for you it’s nothing serious and as @AnnieApple123 says, at 10+4 the odds are very much in your favour. Have you managed to contact your EPU?

It really irritates me how each trust is different with how they operate.

I currently have quite strong aches (I won’t say pains because they aren’t overwhelmingly painful) in my pelvis. Keeping an eye on them but they seem to be down the sides rather than in the middle where baby is. Pretty sure it’s just everything stretching (Atleast I hope it is).

Had a meltdown to my other half yesterday because he is pesting me constantly again for sex and cuddles and I got quite angry and just said he doesn’t understand how I feel and to back off until the 12 week scan when I feel like I might have calmed down a bit. Safe to say there’s a bit of tension in the air this morning. X

@Firsttimemomma1 aww lovely that’s really hard with your partner😢 sorry if I’ve missed it but are you avoiding sex in the first trimester? I feel bad for mine we have done it a few times but I’ve gone from being all over him when ttc to now not much at all🫣

@VickiGo i had a terrible cold before Christmas and was too scared to take anything, but did find that hot water, honey and half a lemon squeezed did help a bit! And trying to rest (as much as I can with a 15 month old) until it started to ease. Hope you feel better soon ♥️
