@PumpkinEverything congratulations on the scan! so glad it was good news for you 🎉

BCxx · 18/01/2023 18:24

Nightmare of a day with my toddler and just counting down the seconds until I can put him in the bath 🤣 he’s currently in the drawers in the living room pulling everything out (again) while I’ve just accepted defeat and I’m lying on the sofa watching in despair 🙈

Got my sneak peek email saying my results would be emailed within the next 8 hours 😬 I feel like it will say boy either way as I made such a mess of doing the test and guarantee I contaminated it. Some people get results after midnight so I won’t be sleeping until I get it!

P1pk · 18/01/2023 18:44

Congrats all for your scans & big wins on getting appts.
I've just had my first scan letter on 6th Feb by which time I should be 12+2. Feel a bit nervous already, no idea how time will pass until then.
I've also been sent a letter for a phone appt with a doctor on 24th April, but not sure what that's about. I will ask midwife in my next appt with her.
Feeling a but better today in terms of energy but I'm going into office tomorrow so I know I will be exhausted by this time tomorrow:(

AnnieApple123 · 18/01/2023 19:19

I’ve had days like that too @BCxx . Lots lately in fact! Much sympathy.

Hey all, I've just wiped after the toilet and had the tiniest bit of fresh blood. The amount you would expect from a spot. I had the same yesterday at exactly this time of day. No other blood throughout last night or today. 11 weeks today. EPU is closed, I'll try them tomorrow :-(

AnnieApple123 · 18/01/2023 19:38

Oh what a worry @LBF2020 . I’ve had two episodes of spotting and know what a worry it can be. By 11 weeks, the stats are very much in your favour though (probability of miscarriage overall on average is only around 2% now). I hope you get to speak someone tomorrow.

@LBF2020 sorry if you’ve already said but have you had any early scans so far? X

@BCxx omg how bloody exciting, hopefully it says girl so you can trust it?🤣

BCxx · 18/01/2023 19:53

@AnnieApple123 I know you share my pain 😂

@ChloeN I know but then I’ll feel bad for opening the email thinking ‘please say girl’ in case it says boy and I’m disappointed, mainly because I just won’t know either way then. I think if I was sure I’d done the test right and it said boy I’d probably assume boy but I did it sooo badly, there was blood going everywhere 🙈 looks like a lot of the emails are between 1-3am 😬

BCxx · 18/01/2023 19:55

@LBF2020 oh no, what a worry. Is there anything that could have caused the bleeding, have you had sex recently? As @AnnieApple123 says the stats are looking good for you and bleeding is normal in quite a large percentage of pregnancies so don’t assume anything terrible. Hopefully you get some reassurance tomorrow 🤞🏼

LBF2020 · 18/01/2023 19:56

@AnnieApple123 thanks for the stat,it definitely goes some way to ease my worries ❤️

@ChloeN yes I had one at 6.5 weeks on Xmas eve, all looked okay, measured ahead and heartbeat shown.

It's typical that it's happened this week as I have both my 12 week scan and consultant appointment next week 😔 hopefully it's just a cervical ectropion bleed.

LBF2020 · 18/01/2023 19:59

Thanks @BCxx nothing that I can think of (other than dog treading on my belly yesterday 😣 but the first bit of blood happened over 12 hours after that.)
It really is the smallest amount of blood so I'm trying not to get worked up about it.

ChloeN · 18/01/2023 20:06

@BCxx my cousins first one was inconclusive because she really struggled with doing it so it could be the same for you, that would be really bloody annoying tho🤣

@LBF2020 good news about the early scan, I think that really reduces your risk of anything going wrong! It could possibly be left over bleeding from implantation? The sonographer told me I had a little pocket of blood when I had my scan xx

LBF2020 · 18/01/2023 20:08

Thanks @ChloeN the sonographer didn't mention a blood pocket but to be honest, they didn't say much other than it looks okay. The blood does look fresh to me though.
I've contacted a private scan place nearby to see if they have any slots available tomorrow and I'll try ePU in the morning. It's going to be a long night!

sally16 · 18/01/2023 20:10

@BCxx oh I'm excited to see what it says!
Also had toddler trauma today.. was very happy when his dad come home from work.. I went right out to my mums for some peace and quiet 😂

sally16 · 18/01/2023 20:12

@LBF2020 is it 100% vaginal? I had blood the other day but it was from labia.. I must have grazed it or irritated it the other day when shaving! It took me about 40 wipes before I realised the discharge was clear but also was like the smallest amount of blood ever!

PumpkinEverything · 18/01/2023 20:14

Your experience is exactly why I won’t do sneak peak @BCxx 😂😂 I’m so bad with blood that even reading that makes me feel sick, there’s no way I could do that by myself! I’m just going to not so patiently wait until 16 weeks and have a private scan 😁😁

BCxx · 18/01/2023 20:18

@sally16 yip that’s usually me😂 tonight my husband got changed and went back out to the gym though and is just back now so he’s already in bed. It’s a long time when you are just desperate for someone to take over 🙈

@Mumtobabyhavoc yip I feel your pain! Toilet roll gets pulled off like there’s no tomorrow. Couldn’t find him this morning and just heard the shower door closing. He was in fully dressed and I’d just been for a shower so he was soaking 😩 If you don’t laugh you will cry in these situations. It’s like if someone was paid and drunk, they couldn’t do more damage to your house than a toddler could

@ChloeN i think that might be the case but I’d rather it was than it said boy and I don’t know which it is! I think you get a free retest if it’s inconclusive

@LBF2020 fingers crossed it’s nothing, when you think how small and protected they are in there chances are it won’t have known anything about your dog! If I bleed I have to get the anti D jag as soon as possible because I’m rhesus negative but I don’t think that’s the case in England anyway when they do the extra test that I don’t get up here

BCxx · 18/01/2023 20:21

@PumpkinEverything I had the covid antibody kit once through work and that’s exactly what it reminded me of. The little thing you have to push into your finger until you hear it click and it pricks your finger. Last time I couldn’t do it but wanted to know if I’d had covid so grabbed my dad from outside and asked him to stab me with it 😂 somehow this time I must have take my brave pills but I managed to do it myself. I just didn’t give myself any say in the matter, grabbed it out the thing and pushed as hard as I could 🙈 think it was my curiosity that had taken over me! But I hadn’t drank enough water I don’t think and it almost dried up at first. It’s a massive thing you’ve to fill to the line as well so I was trying all sorts and it was all over my nail in the end but I was beyond caring by that point!

ChloeN · 18/01/2023 20:21

@BCxx her retest was free so that probably would be the best case wouldn’t it 🤣

@LBF2020 if it was a really quick scan they probably wouldn’t even look or mention it tbh, I’ve never heard anyone else say there sonographer had mentioned it!

BCxx · 18/01/2023 20:22

@ChloeN yeah if I get a retest I’m going all out, lab coat, goggles, glove on the other hand etc 😂 taking no chances!

LBF2020 · 18/01/2023 20:24

@sally16 yes I think so, it seemed to be mixed with cervical mucus. Weird! Fingers crossed for tomorrow 🤞

sally16 · 18/01/2023 20:28

@LBF2020 hopefully just a little nothing :) 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

P1pk · 18/01/2023 20:33

@LBF2020 oh so sorry about the bleeding. I've had some bleeding a few times now but it seems to be from progesterone pessaries. Hopefully EPU can you see you quickly tomorrow. When I went they advised that sometimes you are just so sensitive that it is normal. Fingers crossed for you

LBF2020 · 18/01/2023 20:51

@sally16 🥰

@P1pk thanks, My body is generally very sensitive so hopefully it's just that 🙏
