@AnnieApple123 mine stopped last time not long after the 12 week scan because I remember the scan was at 12 weeks 5 days and I still felt just as sick but literally under a week later it was gone. I really loved that second trimester! 😍

BCxx · 14/01/2023 23:26

@sally16 i feel like I just have my ‘second best’ options from last time 😂 I waited until I knew he was a boy to look at names but have always had two girls names so if it was a girl I’d probably go with either of those and not even look up any others. If it’s a boy I really don’t have a clue and once you have one I feel like they need to sound nice together! I don’t think the dog thing is weird, I looked the same thing up with my son and found all these people saying it was weird so didn’t use it in the end but it was my favourite name ever (hence why I chose it at the time) and he was a special boy. It wasn’t a really obvious ‘dog’ type name either so most people wouldn’t know!

BCxx · 14/01/2023 23:27

@BusyBushBaby it’s great 😂 hope you’re feeling okay!

sally16 · 14/01/2023 23:30

@BCxx my sons got a weird name anyway so the dogs one is actually pretty normal hahaha!
He had a german surname so I thought classic names sounded a bit odd where as DS sounds like a wee rockstar and I love it haha!

Aw we have ONE girls name. One. And no one likes it but me and DP.. mum pretends to like it but she didn't like DS name for ages either 🤣

BCxx · 14/01/2023 23:31

@Firsttimemomma1 😂🎉 oh no, turning down monster munch is never a good sign! I keep craving random things and I’m like I don’t know if it’s just because I’m pregnant that I’m letting myself demand random things or if I really do have a proper craving for it. I’m right into fresh orange juice, I sat drinking it tonight. I think it’s how fresh it makes your mouth taste. I’m definitely just eating to the point I’ve had no way of feeling sick though, dread to think how much weight I’ve already put on but I gained sooo much last time and it actually came off easier than any other weight in my life (think it was due to not being able to sit eating biscuits with a baby in your hands) 😂

BCxx · 14/01/2023 23:33

@sally16 aw I love cool names like that! I think with names you just have to go for it and not run it by anyone else. I made the mistake of discussing my lists with my mum last time and she doesn’t mean to be but it very honest and a bit overly critical so his name was always the number one name on the list but she didn’t instantly like it either. I reminded her of that this time when she started her ‘what names do you like?’ thing.. eh none that I’ll be telling you about 😂

sally16 · 14/01/2023 23:36

@BCxx my mums list was rubbish. Or her name 😂😂😂

@Mumtobabyhavoc oh no! There seems to be a shortage of rennies atm and I am currently rationing so I feel you xx

Paintandpots · 15/01/2023 05:21

@Mumtobabyhavoc hope by 2nd trimester the nausea and sickness go away for all of us!

Seriously all day nausea is horrible! Last time I would vomit in morning or if I got too hungry, it was horrible but nothing like this time all day nausea, which is slowly crushing my spirit.
Worse, our little one is not sleeping tonight/ this morning and husband's reaction to baby boy not letting us asleep is to heat up....GARLIC BREAD in the ovan!!! Is he trying to torture me?
Normally i love garlic bread but since this pregnancy i cant stand garlic or onions or anything spicy.

So here i am hiding under my duvet with some perfume cloth nearby to try and staunch the smell of.... garlic.

Well at least he has taken the little one for an hour. Maybe i should try and sleep....ugh garlic.

Sorry, i just had to vent.

@Miraclesdohappen88 I've still been going for all my usual waxing (bikini, legs, eyebrows). Beautician told me it was safe for as long as I feel comfortable.
I've stuck with it to be honest as it has just been some 'me' time which has been needed in between my masters exams and house move 🤦🏻‍♀️

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 15/01/2023 06:51

@sally16 this made me laugh. My DH and I have been thinking names for boys name though we are devastated. We never thought we would have a baby, so used our favourite name on our dog, problem is he is only 5 and had many heard ahead of him so not sure we can get away with having a baby with the same name x

ChloeN · 15/01/2023 08:58

@sally16 we’ve had a girls name picked for ages so can’t imagine not calling her that, boys on the other hand we are soo stuck. My boyfriend only likes really simple names but everyone in our families already stolen them😡

sally16 · 15/01/2023 09:17

@MinnieFirstTimeMum my dog and my partner have the same name 😭😅 I've had the dog a year longer than DP hahahah!

@ChloeN we had 2 choices last time and I let DP pick and was in such a mood about it that it didn't suit DS he picked the other one in the end 🤣🤣🤣

Don't realise how many people you dislike until you name a baby haha

Firsttimemomma1 · 15/01/2023 09:35

Pretty sure some people have scans booked for today. Good luck ladies if that is you, let us know how you get on x

Mulner88 · 15/01/2023 09:36

@sally16 we have a list of boys and girls names we like, about 5 for each!! We actually found boys names easier to come up with. There's one of each that I would prefer so just need to get DH to agree on the same ones 😂

ChloeN · 15/01/2023 09:38

@sally16 you let him pick but really you knew you were picking 🤣 it’s soo hard I think we’ll pick a few then wait until he’s here if a boy and then pick, give me 6 months to decide 🤣

sally16 · 15/01/2023 09:41

@Mulner88 remember they ask mum the name for the baby card in hospital so if he's sleeping you've got your window 😂🤣

@ChloeN exactly but we messed up his initials my way and it's ARS 😂🤣 if we have a girl they will be SIS 😂

sally16 · 15/01/2023 09:46

@Firsttimemomma1 I'm not untill 3pm! Hopefully everyone has a lovely scan 💙

ChloeN · 15/01/2023 09:56

@sally16 sis🤣 I never even though of the initials, one of our boys names would be fag so maybe we need to rethink the middle name 🤣 ooo is it your first scan today or have you already had one? Xx

sally16 · 15/01/2023 10:49

@ChloeN I've had an epu one but nothing special haha was just a quick heartbeat check for reassurance haha!
I walk past a portable ultrasound at work constantly staring at it wondering but I've no idea how to turn it on and what to actually do so I've just put that invasive thought to bed 🤣🤣🤣

ChloeN · 15/01/2023 10:57

@sally16 omg I would absolutely be the same, youd be so tempted just to have a go🤣🤣

sally16 · 15/01/2023 11:06

@ChloeN it would be my luck I bloody dropped it or broke something so I'm too paranoid 😂😂😂 and everything needs a log in so I'd be caught within 5 seconds hahaha!
I didn't even play with a Doppler last time! Was too scared!
