7+2.
My previous pregnancy had exactly the same timings, honeymoon baby 1st time, and anniversary baby this time. Probably conceived at the same hotel.
Anxiety aside, I feel a lot worse this time which I am taking as a good thing.
Had a tiny bit of spotting at the weekend and with DH abroad it did spin me out a bit. But with nothing else since, I'm calmer. (Still checking every time I pee, every 30mins!)

natkasz · 25/10/2022 20:48

@firsttimelondonmummy I am yet to speak with my GP and ask for a referral because of my anxiety but have spoken with the DH and he said it might be best to phone my practice later this week.

The first proper wave of nausea hit today whilst I was dropping my DS off in nursery. It was similar to what I had when I was pregnant first time round (it passes as soon as I have something to eat) which makes me think I'm having another boy :)

Has either of you girls experienced similar two pregnancies but ended up having a boy and a girl?

LT103 · 25/10/2022 20:55

Hi there. I’ve held off joining any due date chats in case things didn’t work out. But I’m currently 8+1 and due start of June.

we had ivf FET and had our first scan last week at 7weeks and saw our little baby with heartbeat and the start of limb buds.
i have a private scan booked for next Thursday (9 1/2 weeks) just for reassurance.

We lost our last pregnancy early on when first scan showed an empty sac so crossing fingers that we’ve already made it further this time.

Hopeful1992 · 25/10/2022 21:18

Are period like cramps “normal”, tests getting stronger every day. I’m only 3 weeks 5 days so very early but keep getting twinges that feel like period pains but nowhere near as uncomfortable, along with back ache. Constantly paranoid AF is about to arrive 😫

LT103 · 25/10/2022 21:28

@Hopeful1992 i had period cramps right up until about 5 weeks. Sometimes so bad it woke me up. Can be totally normal while everything is stretching

Hopeful1992 · 25/10/2022 21:36

@LT103 ah that puts my mind at ease thank you! :)

HalWin2221 · 25/10/2022 21:42

@Hopeful1992 yes me too! Have you got the app ‘Flo’? On there it says it’s 1 out of the 4 most common symptoms, but it just never gets talked about?!

Tor88 · 25/10/2022 22:30

@HalWin2221 100% agree every day is like a week!! My 12 week scan has annoyingly been booked for 2nd Dec when I'll be 13+2 so that feels like an absolute age away!!

On the scan q, I had a 6 week scan due to previous ssues and I'll be booking a private scan around the 10 week mark. My thinking is if it's a MMC I'd rather catch it sooner, if that makes sense...

AstroH · 25/10/2022 23:06

@Hopeful1992 I had this too, particularly in Week 4-6, constantly felt like just before you start bleeding with a period. I was so paranoid but apparently it's really normal. It's got less over time but I still get little twinges every now and again.

Pumpkincat11 · 25/10/2022 23:35

@AstroH that's a really good website! I'll be using it when I start thinking negatively!

We've booked a private scan for 7+3, and I got my booking appointment today for 8+1 but no scan date yet. My fingers are crossed we get it in before Christmas 🤞

BobbySD345 · 25/10/2022 23:47

The days go so slowly don't they ! I thought this pregnancy would be easier/feel quicker getting to 12 weeks than my first but I am the same. Counting every day and crossing all fingers and toes

Absc · 26/10/2022 03:36

Hi all, I’m due end of June however my previously pregnancy only lasted until 35 weeks when my son was born. So chances are start or June or end of may with this little one.

now thinking I’m gonna have two under two in the house 🤣.

morning sickness is already hell has hg in last pregnancy so guessing same again.

B1993 · 26/10/2022 06:49

Morning all,

Congratulations to the new joiners! 🥳🥳

The thread is so busy it's hard to keep up 🙈😂

@natkasz I think the opposite for my pregnancy- very different symptoms but same gender (boy). With my first the only symptoms was constant fatigue. This pregancy I've had cravings, aversions, breast tenderness and mild nausea plus being sick a few times. I wonder if this is a sign he won't be as laid back and easy as my first?! 😅😂

B1993 · 26/10/2022 06:49

Just a little update from me: I had my booking appointment yesterday. Midwife took bloods and urine sample. She also checked BMI, blood pressure and carbon monoxide levels, which were all good. She's now referred me to the consultant (I'm not really consultant led care but need daily injections when pregnant and they can't be prescribed by midwives).
So, I've got to start the injections soon so I shall look forwards to that... NOT!! 🙈🙈 She's also booked in for my 12 week scan (going from early scan dates, not m/c bleeding) so said to expect a letter through for both appointments soon. I hope the scan is sooner rather than later as I'm so impatient.

Other than that I'm doing ok. Still have mild nausea which is generally worse at nights and early mornings.

B1993 · 26/10/2022 07:03

I think some people were asking about internal vs abdominal scans. I had one a couple of weeks ago due to a previous m/c and red bleeding this pregnancy. It was done by EPAU and not privately but got a good picture early on.

I was dated at 5-6 weeks (I know I was 6+1 at the time) and I was able to see a little bean with strong heartbeat, despite not even having a full bladder! It's definitely possible.

With my first, I had a scan and was dated at 6+2 at the time. They couldn't get a picture abdominally so did it vaginally, again we saw the heartbeat.

Incase it helps anyone, I'll post both pictures so you can see the difference between the two types of scan:

Hey guys hope everyone's feeling ok and symptoms aren't too bad! Also so lovely seeing scans!

@B1993 congratulations! 💙 Can't wait to find out gender of this one! I've also heard that's the home sneak peek tests can be a bit unreliable and easily contaminated

I'm currently 8+3 I had an early scan last week at 7+1 due to having pain on my left side and it was so surreal seeing everything! My booking appointments this Saturday so it's all starting to feel real now 😅

Also I've been losing weight because I've barely been eating my nausea/sickness is so bad and the anti sickness medication just makes me so drowsy and I have an almost 2 year old who I can't keep up with anymore so it's all fun and games here 😂

Loving the scan pics, so nice to see!

I've woken up with some worries this morning - I have a really sore shoulder and nausea at 4+6 and I'm worried it means an ectopic. Not sure whether to call the gp or just hang on until my scan at 7+3.

tigerlily0 · 26/10/2022 08:51

@B1993 I had my booking in yday too! Finally felt real talking to someone. I also have my consultant appt on Thursday for my thyroid etc. I also spoke to the GP and got cyclizine, really hoping it sorts my nausea , or I get even a little bit of reprieve in the day. Scan date will also be coming on the post. I'm 8+5 now

Tor88 · 26/10/2022 09:10

Morning everyone. 8 weeks today and I've just had my first actual vomit! Up until now I've just been feeling constantly nauseous and occasionally retching...

Just sharing because I've got no one else to to tell and I feel like it's a good sign! Whilst I felt sick in my previous pregnancies I never actually was sick, so praying this suggests a sticky bean 🙏🙏

Xxx

B1993 · 26/10/2022 09:10

@fifi113, thank you! 💙I definitely should have taken more notice of warnings people give online about it 🤦🏻‍♀️

Lovely scan! 🤩 Sorry to hear you're suffering though!

@EvelynSalt I'm not an expert on ectopic and I'm sure there will be some ladies on here who can give much better advice based on their experiences but I don't think neauea tends to be a sign of ectopic. Could the shoulder pain be caused by sleeping funny? I think I read that problems with ectopics aren't usually detected until around 7 weeks as that's when the issues tend to start. Even if you called EPUA, they may tell you it's too early to see anything in a scan.

@tigerlily0, hopefully the medication works!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Annoyingly my midwife went by my early scan dates so booked me behind what I KNOW I am (only by a day, but still annoying). I was hoping they'd use dates from m/c bleeding as that would put me a week ahead so less of a wait for the scan but no such luck! 🙄

EvelynSalt · 26/10/2022 09:17

@B1993 Logic says you're absolutely right, and it's reassuring to read - thank you! I'm trying to have a word with myself. I think it's just these early days where it's all so new and every weird feeling is an unknown. I stupidly googled sore shoulder pregnancy and that came up, but yep - in all likelihood I just slept a bit funny!

B1993 · 26/10/2022 09:45

We've all been there, I'm sure, @EvelynSalt! I have asked 'Dr Google' about so many things pregancy related and freaked myself out as a result... 🤦🏻‍♀️ If it does help, I had some shoulder pain too, early on, and my early scan showed a healthy bub in the right place!! Unless you have any other worrying signs like bleeding or painful cramping isolated to one side, I think it's safe to assume all is well in there. 💖

Hopeful1992 · 26/10/2022 09:55

@HalWin2221 @AstroH thanks that’s hugely put my mind at ease!💕

HalWin2221 · 26/10/2022 10:54

Anyone else had fluctuating symptoms? My boobs have been so sore for about a week then today I don’t feel like they are at all! Making me freak out a bit 🙁

Texasholdem20 · 26/10/2022 10:58

Yes! Me! Exactly the same. Have had really sore nips, wearing a bra and the friction was super painful at the weekend but woke up this morning with nothing. Severe bloating and constipation has also gone. It’s really unnerving but I think fairly normal for them to fluctuate?
