@B1993 thanks for your reply I know what you mean I'm trying not to worry but I think Google at times is not good for me I just can help looking...congrats on your 10 weeks apart from the getting sick I only ever has nausea never actually got sick. I think it's the cramping that's frightened me today then if I had none I'd probably be worried about that too I just want everything to be ok so badly

Granolaforbrekfast · 11/11/2022 19:14

Can I join please? I’m 9 weeks 1 day. I have one older child conceived naturally. This will be my second and its a miracle IVF baby.

Granolaforbrekfast · 11/11/2022 19:15

Saw baby today at a private scan and everything is looking on track 🥰

B1993 · 11/11/2022 19:21

@ImHopeful2023 It’s so hard and these first weeks are some of the longest and most worrisome, especially when you’ve suffered past losses, so I completely understand. I do think it’s normal for symptoms to fluctuate so you could be either getting some early relief or it’s the calm before the storm!

Also, if it makes you feel any better, I have had some cramping. It’s not constant like in those early weeks but do seem to get the odd sharp tinge etc., which I’ve put down to normal stretching. I’ve had two scans and (touch wood) they’ve both gone well and baby has had a strong heartbeat so don’t think that’s a particularly worrying sign in itself, unless extremely painful or accompanied by heavy bleeding.

ImHopeful2023 · 11/11/2022 19:25

Thanks @B1993 I seem to get it more when I'm sitting or lying down not standing. Only started yesterday but there has been no bleeding just some white discharge

BobbySD345 · 11/11/2022 19:28

@ImHopeful2023 @B1993 I remember in my last pregancy having quite a lot of sharp shooting pains almost like electric shocks and being worried but everything was fine and I have a healthy 3 year old little boy. It is hard not to worry about every tug, pull, cramp etc. I am worrying a lot too. But just to reassure everyone that I had period type pains, stretching, bloating and those shooting pains that sometimes made me jump in mt 1st trimester last time !

ImHopeful2023 · 11/11/2022 19:38

Thanks @BobbySD345 your words mean alot tonight that's for them I really appreciate them

tigerlily0 · 11/11/2022 22:13

Hi all I copied everyone and got a private scan done yday. Was measuring 1 day ahead lol, not that it makes a difference! Saw my little bean with a fluttery beating heart. Got a really good pic too. My husband couldn't believe baby is only 4cm atm. Felt so happy after it and the nausea felt worth it. 11 weeks today and only felt nauseous once. Really hope this is my turning point with the nausea. Got my hair done too and felt like me again for a while.
I also get dull cramps now and again, just like dull period aches. And sometimes get sharp stretching pains if I move too quick or turn in bed quickly too.

tigerlily0 · 11/11/2022 22:18

@ImHopeful2023 I suffered with nausea and sickness Upto around 16 weeks with my last 2. I have had many friends who had literally none. And 1 friend vomited three times a day everyday for the whole 9 months. One of my Dr colleagues who I told the other day I was pregnant literally said she sailed thru both her pregnancies with no sickness or anything . I loved hearing that lolll

@BellaTheDarkOverlord exhaustion is the only way to describe it. Waking to get my kids ready and off to school and then coming back and sleeping for 3 hours. Even when iv had 7 hours sleep at night. And then feeling absolutely shattered thruout the day with no motivation to do anything, watch anything, talk to anyone. It's hard work

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 11/11/2022 22:47

@tigerlily0 definitely exhaustion. DD has been wanting me to play an xbox game with her all day since home from school and I've put her off as much as possible! It's difficult. I've only just eaten now.

sleepymama3 · 12/11/2022 08:00

Welcome and congratulations @Granolaforbrekfast

Another one for you @ImHopeful2023 to say I've had period type cramps as well. GP told me discharge is normal as long as it's not thick or with an unpleasant smell.

B1993 · 12/11/2022 08:02

@tigerlily0, that's great news! Glad the scan went well and your little bean was happy and healthy in there! 😊 You can't be far of your routine nhs scan either if you're 11 weeks?

I had a similar experience with my first and sailed through that one; the ONLY symptom I had had fatigue but no nausea/sickness, cravings or sore boobs etc.

@BobbySD345 the stretching, cramps and twinges definitely seem to be more intense for me this time around. They were so mild with my first and I'm still in shock at how wildly different my pregnancies have been so far! Wondering if this is a sign that this baby want be as easy going as my first 🙈😅

B1993 · 12/11/2022 08:04

I may have missed any new ladies joining, congratulations and welcome! 🥳 🤗

DrinkingAllTheGin · 12/11/2022 08:29

I am off to a sleepover with my cub pack today. Must be mad, but organised it before we knew I was pregnant. Last thing I need is sleeping on a hard floor!

ImHopeful2023 · 12/11/2022 09:18

Thanks @sleepymama3 this group is great to put one's mind at ease

B1993 · 12/11/2022 10:13

@DrinkingAllTheGin I feel for you! We once took a couple of classes on a school trip and 'camped' out in the local scouts building but I couldn't imagine doing it pregnant!! 😩 They went the next year but I was very heavily pregant and, of course, was not sleeping on the floor then.

I hope you manage to get at least a bit of sleep - it's hard enough making it through the day with a good nights sleep, let alone a couple of hours.

Baby3herewego · 12/11/2022 16:00

Feeling so poop today. Woke up with a stinking cold and headache and my nausea has turned into my throwing everything I eat and drink back up again. Come on body, let me keep water down, I’m burning up!

Littlebear14 · 12/11/2022 16:43

I have been spotting/light bleeding for 10 days now ☹️ have had two scans within that time which confirmed everything is fine - wriggly baby with strong heartbeat - but I still cannot allow myself to feel positive. Seeing blood is the worst feeling in the world and I feel like I'm just waiting for the worst to happen. This first trimester anxiety is awful!

sleepymama3 · 12/11/2022 18:32

How far into the first trimester are you @Littlebear14 ? Hope the spotting stops soon, it must be very scary for you. Glad your team is on the ball with scans.

Good luck @DrinkingAllTheGin you are a better woman than I!

Littlebear14 · 12/11/2022 18:44

@sleepymama3 I am around 9 weeks now. Thank you I really hope so too! 😢 one was a private scan but the EPU have also been really good and said to call again after the weekend if it still hasn't gone.

B1993 · 12/11/2022 19:47

@Littlebear14 sorry to hear you’ve had lots of spotting. So have I and unfortunately know how you feel! 😭 I had bright red spotting a day or so after I found out about this pregnancy at not even 4 weeks. Then, light pink bleeding a couple of weeks ago. Since then I noticed the tiniest bit of pink/red discharge and brown a day or so later at 9-10 weeks. I’ve also had a couple of positive scans though, where, on both occasions, a strong heartbeat was found. I’m trying to remind myself that my chances of miscarriage are pretty low at this point, especially because my sickness has been quite bad over the past couple of days, but am having lots of anxiety still, especially given a past loss. I am counting down the days until my 12 week scan on the 25th!

DrinkingAllTheGin · 12/11/2022 19:50

Got the cubs watching a film. Nearly time for bed!
I am knackered but hopefully the kids sleep well.

Algor1thm · 12/11/2022 21:34

Hi ladies 👋🏻 I had a private scan yesterday which showed baby is doing well at 11 weeks! Can't believe how developed baby is compared to the 6 week scan I had. A week and a half until my NHS scan and can't believe I've nearly made it out of the danger zone. I haven't really let myself accept it's happening until now, but the chance of MC is actually pretty low now (about 2% based on my demographics) so I guess it probably is! We told our toddler today which made it quite exciting 😊

B1993 · 13/11/2022 08:08

Congratulations on what sounds like a great scan @Algor1thm! Must feel like such a relief 😅

How old is you little one? Did they take the news of a new sibling well? 🥰

IVFitis · 13/11/2022 08:41

@ImHopeful2023 thought I would jump on after seeing your worries. I’ve had the exact same. Previously had MMC. My symptoms eased off around 10 weeks, only had slight nausea and tiredness, now only slightly tender breast and back ache. I had cramps for 24 hours and felt like period pain. Was convinced it was all over. Went for 11 week scan and baby measuring good and dancing around in there. It’s hard to be hopefully but hope that offers you some reassurance. With my MMC I didn’t have cramps and had more pregnancy symptoms.
