@Veryxonfused mine doesn’t limit just says they recommend not bringing small children.

Thanks, I think they did tell me over the phone when I booked the scan but I wasn’t really paying attention

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 07/11/2022 07:53

So I rang 111 about the ear pain and they said they'll get a doctor to ring me back in 2 hours. 5 hours later they rang me again to tell me it's not urgent and they're closing the case and to see GP Monday morning. The GP don't have any appointments and haven't for weeks. I'm going EPAU today for the scan so I might ask them. Im worried it's an infection.

Catcuscool · 07/11/2022 09:47

@HalWin2221 the hunger nausea combo is an interesting one for sure!

HalWin2221 · 07/11/2022 09:52

@Catcuscool i thought I had dodged it today, woke up feeling great. Then half way to work and it’s back in full force!

Ally1992 · 07/11/2022 10:10

Thought I waved goodbye to the nausea the last couple of days and was feeling quite smug about it until it came back in full force last night! It’s only the second time I have been physically sick but both times have started with a headache.

I also went for a private scan yesterday after some pain under my ribs which I believe was just indigestion. Saw the heartbeat and measured 9 weeks spot on so feel very relieved now 😌 my 12 week scan is booked for 28th Nov so only a few more weeks now!

DrinkingAllTheGin · 07/11/2022 10:28

I had a real low that saw me being sick in the work carpark this morning.

BobbySD345 · 07/11/2022 11:41

@DrinkingAllTheGin oh no !! Hope you feel better now? I forgot to bring food to work so I feel really sick now too. So stupid. All I need is a biscuit or something to keep me going. Might have to go on a scavenger hunt. Hard to hide from work how ill you feel isn't it.

ImHopeful2023 · 07/11/2022 11:52

Hi all I'm currently and hopefully all going well 10 weeks pregnant due the start of June. I've had two miscarriages this year with no living children and I just can't stop worrying that it will happen again. I've had a scan at six weeks all was good and eight weeks again all good with a good heartbeat. Compared to other two pregnancies all is going good this time with scans but I can't stop worrying. I have no date for my next scan chased them up today and it and hopefully will get an appointment in mail soon can anyone offer reassurance or what I should be looking out for. My nipples are sore on and off and have nausea some days and then days with nothing so worried

ImHopeful2023 · 07/11/2022 11:53

Also forgot to say my blood cells keep saying my white cells are on the night side and my thyroid t4 is normal but my ths is 0.3

DrinkingAllTheGin · 07/11/2022 12:19

I've managed food and kept it down. That's progress!

BobbySD345 · 07/11/2022 15:24

Just had a scan at EPAU and all fine. Measuring 7 weeks. Saw the flicker of the heartbeat. Feel reassured but then it only takes a few days and the anxiety kicks back in doesn't it. Constantly symptom watching! Hoping everyone is OK x

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 07/11/2022 15:42

@BobbySD345 I get it! I had a scan today and it does help but then the anxiety will start again in a week over something else!

Scan was good, baby measuring nice and looks like a potato! I'm 9+3 weeks and measuring about 8+6. They couldn't get a picture as he is face down but they can see a nice heartbeat. They found 2 blood clots in the uterus, one in the right horn where baby is, the other in left horn. Due to backward tilting and bicornuate uterus the sonographer had to do an internal again as baby is hiding at the back. They said if I start bleeding over next few weeks it could be the blood clots coming out. They said ring if I'm worried about amount of bleeding. I'm getting a little less worried now baby is growing nicely. Got midwife on Wednesday so will see if I get my next scan after that.

ireneadler101 · 07/11/2022 15:53

I'll be 8 weeks on Wednesday and haven't heard a peep from my midwife - apparently there's a backlog and I'll be seen by 10 weeks latest. Is anyone else around 8 weeks and not heard anything about booking appointments/scans yet?

Baby3herewego · 07/11/2022 18:35

@ireneadler101 I’m 6+5 and already have my first midwife appointment booked for when I’m 8+5.

Did you self refer online?

firsttimelondonmummy · 07/11/2022 19:06

@Baby3herewego I’m the same in London 8+5 when I’ll be seen for the first time.
@ireneadler101 I self referred when I was around 5 weeks one hospital took two weeks to come back to me and the other 3 days (I cancelled the first when they finally came back)

Re booking appt, I've had a few people now say I need to get booked in (GP, midwife, sonographer) but trying to actually get an appointment is not straightforward. They generally like to see you about 8-10 weeks I think don't they?

LT103 · 07/11/2022 21:22

I had my booking in appt today at 10 weeks exactly.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 07/11/2022 21:52

Mine is Friday. I'll be 9+5

B1993 · 06/11/2022 15:46

@positivethoughts1 I'm sorry your scan didn't go as hoped today 💔 It must be terrifying 😢

I've go no personal experience but I think I'm right in saying that at @CaliGirl47's last scan they also found a 'weak' heartbeat. Maybe she can offer a better insight?

I'm sending lots of positive vibes your way and hope both of your follow up scans bring some much needed good news!! 💖💐

Hi sorry I must’ve missed this tag. @B1993

I’m sorry to hear about the stress you are going through @positivethoughts1 Scanxiety can be very intense after a frost scan doesn’t go as well as hoped. Did I read you have another scan this morning? I really hope you get some good news. Hopefully it’s something to do with dates being slightly out which might give a different reading then what the sonographer expected. At least EPAU are on top of it and offering you support.

I have been chasing up EPAU since Thursday when I had my private scan and finally got through to some help yesterday after going back to my GP. They have booked me in for a scan this Thursday at the EPAU. I’ve alllowed myself to hope that maybe the first sonographer was just mistaken and maybe by some miracle I will see a heartbeat this Thursday (I will be 10+5) but I know it is probably wishful thinking. There was a slight heartbeat trace last week but it was not a full heartbeat. So I don’t know if it is better to live with hope or without. But I’m just hoping for some answers on Thursday one way or another. I am still having the occasional wave of nausea as well which is all the more confusing and feels almost insulting if it really is a MMC.

sleepymama3 · 08/11/2022 08:32

@DrinkingAllTheGin oh you poor thing! What a rotten start to your day. I haven't been physically sick in work yet but have taken to keeping sick bags in the car for my long commute 😖
@ImHopeful2023 I hope this is your miracle
... you are so close to 12 weeks. Your symptoms sound about right to me. My nausea is either nonexistent or dreadful day by day, and I think this is similar for other June ladies too...

ImHopeful2023 · 08/11/2022 09:12

Thanks sleepymama3 this forum is helping with anxiety

positivethoughts1 · 08/11/2022 11:21

@CaliGirl47 Thank you so much for your response. I'm sorry you are not getting the support you should be from EPAU.

I went to emergency gynaecology straight after the scan on Saturday and had my bloods taken (our EPAU were closed but they work closely together), they called me back hours later to say my progesterone levels "aren't good". They were 26 and everything I googled said they were ok so I called EPAU when they opened yesterday and she said the same, 26 is good and within the scale for first 12 weeks! Scan is today at 13:40, trying to look at the positives, HCG and progesterone was good, symptoms are still here and the baby did have a heart beat on Saturday. (Although it was on the slow side, not sure of BPM) so hopefully it's just because it was so early?

I'm keeping everything crossed for you, it's two annoying that you have to wait until Thursday. The wait makes it all so much worse!! Xxx

TrulyMiss · 08/11/2022 14:07

Had my scan today at 6+4 and there is a sac and baby in the right place bit they couldn't get a proper measurement. Apparently I have a tilted uterus (who knew) which makes it harder to see. They've said it's very early and to come back in a week. Hard to know how to feel but not that hopefully. Has anyone else had a good outcome after something similar?

firsttimelondonmummy · 08/11/2022 15:55

@TrulyMiss I had my first scan at 6+2 no tilted uterus and they couldn’t get a heartbeat.
Went back at 7+1 and was re dated 6+5 and we saw a heartbeat.
Sonographer said it’s so hard this early on!
