Hi all, I'm 6w2d, hoping to join? I'm an absolute mess having had mmc and chemicals in the past, I hate the first trimester, the waiting is the worst 😑

@LouLa7 Yes! I've been waking up at 3am every day for the last week and can't get back to sleep till 5am... Its adding to the tiredness.

@theodora2146

@HalWin2221 on a somewhat ban here too, I don't need any more reasons to be a neurotic mess, I manage that perfectly fine without adding spotting into the mix. As my vicar once said (yes, really...) 'it doesn't have to be penetration' 🙈😆

HalWin2221 · 30/10/2022 09:31

@GemmaJen welcome! :) I’ve had 2 MC, so you’re not alone in this anxiety filled time! I’ve found this thread to be comforting, as everyone is so open and honest! :)
haha love that from your vicar! I feel like I’m a teenage again 🫣

GemmaJen · 30/10/2022 09:57

@HalWin2221 thank you. I think our vicar is a bit mad, it was on a marriage preparedness course, and he was talking about his mistress, his wife was happily making the tea and coffee in the corner of the room... It was an interesting day 😂

B1993 · 30/10/2022 10:11

@LouLa7 I had this early on in pregancy - it was so draining!! It seemed to settle around week 6 or 7 for me, so now it's just DS having me up at 5am every morning (4am today with the clock change)! 🥱

@theodora2146 Yes! I posted about light red bleeding after sex a few days ago now. As I've had bright red bleeding this pregnancy and previous miscarriage, EPAU have agreed to scan me this Thursday. Might be worth reaching out to them, although they told me it's normal due to cervix being much more sensitive. Still very frightening though! 😩 My red bleeding lasted for 3-4 hours and when I woke up next morning was more of a brown/pink colour. By tea time, it had gone and hasn't returned. Waiting to see what happens on Thursday with my scan before I risk it again!!

B1993 · 30/10/2022 10:13

Welcome @GemmaJen! 🥳 Sorry to hear about your previous losses 💔 There's quite a few of us ladies on here that could join you is saying our anxieties are at an all time high!!

LouLa7 · 30/10/2022 10:22

Ah so it seems the insomnia at stupid o'clock is relatively normal then! At least I can add it to my very small list of symptoms.

@GemmaJen congrats on your pregnancy. Your vicar sounds hilarious 😂

GemmaJen · 30/10/2022 10:29

Is anybody having issues with exercise? My list of symptoms is pretty slim, sore boobs, waking up in the middle of the night and maybe a little tired (but it could be those 3am starts 🤦‍♀️). But I feel so off today, I'm running in an agility comp so short bursts of running, but it's making me feel light headed and just weird. This is the first day I've had an issue, normal running and exercise last week was fine.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 30/10/2022 15:02

I have the 3/4am wakeups too.
Bloody annoying.
Went to Tim Horton's for lunch before going to the supermarket and on the walk I had to puke! Thankfully I got to a quiet bit away from public view!

firsttimelondonmummy · 30/10/2022 15:05

I got my first 3am wake up this morning.
I was so uncomfortable 😭
No sickness for me yet but huge exhaustion.
Had to order maccies today as OH is at work and I couldn’t face getting off the couch.

Had my first scan today and measuring 5 weeks and 6 days which is only one day off what I thought. Saw the heartbeat which was magical!

The dog then jumped on my tummy early and wounded me a bit. I’m pretty sure she jumped above my belly button and I’ve not had any cramping or bleeding so hopefully I’m okay l, but I did think well that’s just great… going to have to make sure she can’t do that again!

jjunebug · 30/10/2022 18:14

I haven't posted in a while as i'm rubbish on Mumsnet but I was on the old thread.
Hope everyone is doing well! ❤️
I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. Nausea is 24/7 and I'm really struggling...

Wondering if there was a Facebook page set up or if not whether we fancy one?
I am a member of one still from my first child and it's sooo helpful and lovely 😍

firsttimelondonmummy · 30/10/2022 18:53

@justbelieve my massive dog is a nightmare during all this 🤦🏻‍♀️
Congrats on the scan and to hearing the heartbeat.
Was it a transvaginal scan?

OP posts:
justbelieve · 30/10/2022 19:00

Thank you! @firsttimelondonmummy Mines an 11 month old Vizsla, she’s very jumpy so we’re trying to rein that in now.

Yes it was transvaginal, it was okay, it felt pretty uncomfortable when they were trying to find my left ovary, it wasn’t painful but there was so much pressure!

firsttimelondonmummy · 30/10/2022 19:07

@justbelieve we’ve got an 11 month old Dalmatian & so I feel your pain! 😂
He’s exactly the same! Also loves wiping you out when he’s playing with other dogs.

We had an abdominal.
Hoping that’s the reason it wasn’t as easy to spot.
I’m annoyed because they advertised transvaginal and then I got abdominal.
I think I’ll mention it when we go next week as I’m not happy I’ll have had to pay £160 in two weeks when we would have waited to 9 for our second had we seen a heartbeat.

It is scary! I did read about the cervix being more sensitive so fingers crossed it's just that. I've got a follow up scan this Thursday so will wait and see what they say. Hope your scan goes well.

These first 12 weeks are so stressful!

Rlt8990 · 30/10/2022 20:45

Think I am now 7+4, baby no.2 ! Finding the mum guilt making trim 1 extra hard this time with the nausea, tiredness and trying to keep a very observant 4 year old from wondering why mummy keeps lying down ! Really wanted am early scan but struggling to justify £80 when iv previously had a healthy pregnancy and no previous issues, I also have fairly strong aymptons and " feel pregnant" midwife appt at 9 weeks and I think we go and book our scan whilst at the hospital. I just forgot how bad the tiredness and all day nausea can be !

BobbySD345 · 30/10/2022 20:47

Facebook page sounds like a good idea for support as all the babes will be similar ages 🙂

HalWin2221 · 30/10/2022 21:22

Facebook group sounds good 😊

Glawen · 30/10/2022 21:23

Please can I join you all ☺️ xx

firsttimelondonmummy · 30/10/2022 21:40

I think I’ll be more comfortable joining a Facebook group when I hopefully get to 12.
People can see the groups you follow/ are part of on Facebook and I want it to remain private till then and possibly even up to 20 weeks if I’m honest!

OP posts:
firsttimelondonmummy · 30/10/2022 21:40

Great idea though! I’d just like the anonymity until I know that all being well all is ok 🤞🏻💖

I think I remember someone saying there is already a Facebook group but I'm not 100% sure? I'm in one from when I had my daughter and it's great!
I also don't think people can see if you're in a private group but I may be wrong...

These first 12 weeks are so stressful!

My last pregnancy I had a scary bleed at 5 week and (in my eyes) an off the chart scary bleed at 9 weeks. The 9 week one I couldn't imagine how I couldn't have lost it but both times at EPU scan he was there and absolutely fine.
Both times were after sex so that was definitely the trigger. We were advised to just hold off till 12ish weeks which was absolutely not a problem 🤢🤢 🤣

3ToB · 30/10/2022 23:26

5 weeks tomorrow (according to my app). Not told DP yet. Waiting for a card to arrive for our son to give him saying he's going to be a big brother.
Quite amusing really as a delayed spring clean kicked in earlier and he was moaning we haven't got rid of the jumperoo yet 🤣

BobbySD345 · 31/10/2022 07:43

@firsttimelondonmummy yes I think FB is what we need for when babies arrive so maybe we could do one in a few months time by which time most will have told family and friends!
