@B1993 thank you 🧡 I'm very anxious about scans but think that's normal. That's why I've put off having one any earlier! Glad you havent had any more spotting. Must have been such a worry. Great news that you've had your scan appointment through now!

@Ally1992 that sounds rough! I have no advice but you have my sympathy. Ive had bad nausea but no actual sickness thankfully. Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight!

@HalWin2221 I referred myself around 5weeks or so. I knew it was first come first serve like @Littlebear14 so thought I'd get in early.

Littlebear14 · 29/10/2022 11:59

Just wondering is there anyone who hasn't been experiencing morning sickness? I am now 7 weeks and have had no nausea at all - it's concerning me!

AstroH · 29/10/2022 12:41

Hi @Ally1992 sorry to hear you’ve been so sick. My morning sickness is worst when I inevitably wake up for a wee in the night around 3am. I feel awful and can’t get back to sleep so have taken to eating a couple of Jacob’s crackers and reading for a little bit. It sounds like you’ve got it much worse though, waking up to be sick. Hope it subsides soon or you could always try getting some anti sickness medication from the doctor if it keeps on?

Dewintergarden · 29/10/2022 12:55

I've got such severe nausea for the last week I'm 6w6days and I've not been sick but I'm continually forcing food down me to help stop it. Can anyone offer any natural remedies/food? Everything is making me gag.

LouLa7 · 29/10/2022 13:09

@Littlebear14 I've had no morning sickness yet although I'm only 5 weeks. When I was pregnant last time the nausea and sickness hit hard at around 6-7 weeks and for me carried on until about 20, but some people are just lucky and don't get any at all so that could be you 😊 My friend didn't find out she was pregnant until almost 10 weeks because she had absolutely 0 symptoms and rarely had periods. I have no symptoms at the moment either so although it's a bit stressful not having the constant reminder that I'm pregnant, I'm really hoping everything is ok with the little bean and by some miracle I avoid the sickness this time 🤞🏽

firsttimelondonmummy · 29/10/2022 13:27

@Littlebear14 I am 6 weeks 3 days and not had a whiff of sickness.
Got sore huge boobs, needing to use the loo a lot, get dizzy infrequently and sometimes mini cramps but that’s it.
My mum said she didn’t get any sickness till 9 weeks!

@Littlebear14 I have had a few waves of nausea but it seems to be when I'm hungry. I've found if i nibble a cracker or a biscuit, it goes away. No actual sickness yet touch wood !

AstroH · 29/10/2022 13:42

Ignore what I just said! I just threw up when I went to take a shower (I’m 5 hours behind U.K. time at the moment). First time actually being sick and I’m travelling home today (about 20 hours journey) 😂

B1993 · 29/10/2022 13:45

@Quokka7, I definitely think it's normal to be worried about scans, especially if you've had bad experiences previously! I'll be thinking of you and will keep my fingers crossed that all is as it should be! 💜

I've been a bag of nerves in honesty! Just trying to stay positive and hope Thursday will bring only postive news! 🤞🏻💗

@Ally1992 and @Dewintergarden, that sounds horrendous! No advice here, as I've rarely been sick and the nausea is mild/manageable. Have you spoke to your GP to see if they can prescribe something to help? I hope that you both find something to make you feel better soon! 💜

@Littlebear14, not this pregnancy but didn't have any sickness, aversions, cravings or breast tenderness with my first pregnancy. People often say mild symptoms are a sign that it's a boy 🤷🏻‍♀️ It was true for me at least!

Absc · 29/10/2022 13:57

@B1993 you were lucky my last one was a boy and I had sickness up until he was born. And experiencing the same this time. The midwife said some peoples body’s act very differently to the hormones.

I’ve had one early scan so far and due another next week. This is only due to complex risks or I wouldn’t have wanted scans as I remember last time they did a scan so early you couldn’t see anything and it’s scary.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 29/10/2022 15:53

I'm getting sick in evening mostly but it's quite mild so more like loss of appetite.

Dewintergarden · 29/10/2022 17:08

I do find eating helps but then I have such food and drink aversion like everything smells disgusting. The nausea, bloating, and heartburn is a lot to deal with I'm exhausted. I nearly fainted in the shower today and I had eaten beforehand and was chewing a mint. I have awful travel sickness that I'm suffering so much. Those of you not experiencing nausea it is such a blessing!

Hlc86 · 29/10/2022 17:08

Hi, I'm also 36 currently 6 weeks 4 days. I'm also considering have tests done private. Have you decided anymore on it?

Hlc86 · 29/10/2022 17:12

Sorry first time posting and couldn't figure out how to do it haha. I'm currently 6 weeks 4 days and 36 years old, been Ttc for over a year and finally got my super faint line 2 weeks ago at 12dpo. No symptoms as yet apart from super achey boobs and they seem to have doubled overnight, but apart from that all good. Got my booking in appointment on Nov the 9 so will be 8 weeks then. All very excited and nerve racking 😅

tigerlily0 · 29/10/2022 18:50

Anybody else stay in bed all day today??

The exhaustion is unreal and nausea still unrelenting. I feel so bad, my husband and kids must look at me like what is this creature. I look and feel awful. 9+1 and wishing this first trimester would hurry and move on

B1993 · 29/10/2022 20:40

@Absc I was also told that some people ‘handle’ HCG better than others during my first pregnancy but then it makes me wonder why my first was so symptomless and this pregnancy has been so nauseating!? I doubt it’s just that my body responds ‘differently’ or surely I would be the same this time around, which does make me think that levels play a big part too.

I can look back now and see I was lucky, but at the time I didn’t feel that way. I would have done anything for the reassurance of symptoms and honestly a lack of then bought me so much anxiety! In a strange way, the nausea is comforting as it gives me hope that all is well.

@tigerlily0, a duvet day sounds magical! I have to admit though, DS has watched far too much TV recently, more than I’d like to admit. 😓 Trying to tell myself it won’t be forever and I should just do what I need to to get me through the day! 😭

DrinkingAllTheGin · 29/10/2022 22:32

DH is home! He's been away all week and finally got home this afternoon.
Had a trip out this evening to an event held in the village I grew up in. Poor man managed it on about 2 hours sleep so he is now snoring away in bed.

BobbySD345 · 30/10/2022 07:36

Anyone else find themselves staring at their plate of food and having to work themselves up to start eating. No appetite. I've lost weight which I am actually pleased about as I am massively overweight. I also wondered is anyone else on here lactose intolerant and if so, have you had any advice re pregnancy on that front? I think I need to take a calcium supplement maybe? Some foods do naturally have calcium other than dairy products but in smaller doses. I noticed my pregnacare doesn't have calcium in.

LouLa7 · 30/10/2022 08:46

Is anyone struggling sleep at all? I'm tired a lot of the time and go to bed ok, but I seem to wake up every night at 3/4am tossing and turning and I can't get back to sleep for ages. I'm then waking up absolutely shattered! I remember it happening much later on in my last pregnancy but it's been happening for a week already and I'm only 5 weeks 😅

theodora2146 · 30/10/2022 09:06

Me and my partner have been having sex like normal ever since we found out. Yesterday we did it and after there was light pink blood after and now today it's more red but only on the tissue and not every time I wipe. Is this course for concern?

Sorry for the too much info!!

HalWin2221 · 30/10/2022 09:09

@LouLa7 me! I think I’m only a day ahead of you? But I’m waking up about 2am and feeling like I could get up for the day, then when my alarm actually goes off in the morning I feel like I could sleep 100 years!

HalWin2221 · 30/10/2022 09:10

@theodora2146 I think people were talking about it a couple of days ago in the thread? I’ve put OH on a sex ban currently 😂

NalaNana · 30/10/2022 09:18

@theodora2146 it is normal to experience some spotting after sex. I don't have experience of it but my friend said it was lasting for about 6 hours with her. If you're worried could you call your EPU? X

Hlc86 · 30/10/2022 09:18

My other half is also

Hlc86 · 30/10/2022 09:20

On a sex ban (sorry sent to soon 😂), how's everyone feeling today?, is anyone else going to book an early scan? I find it so hard to wait until 12 weeks, seems an age away
