Baby's first Christmas tomorrow, hope it's a lovely one for everyone 🙂

squatternutbosh12 · 25/12/2022 00:17

Merry Christmas everyone 🥰 hope all the babies have left their treats out for Santa. This time last year we had tiny little beans growing and just look at them now. Have a wonderful time all xx

Mufflette · 25/12/2022 04:42

A very happy first Christmas to all the babies. I'm looking forward to enjoying all the cheese that was off limits this time last year!

Delight12 · 25/12/2022 18:30

Merry Christmas everyone xx

Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday. Over in a blink of the eye.
Glad we had big sisters help to open presents yesterday. Have warned her next year she'll have a mini helper wanting to do everyone's!

ToCaden · 26/12/2022 19:26

@PopGoesBang it does disapear fast, doesn't it?

Hope people had a special first christmas.

PopGoesBang · 26/12/2022 19:49

@ToCaden it really does.

I was saying to DP it was a year ago I had a bleed and a year ago tomorrow we had the first scan and saw a teeny little bean. Should have known how stubborn she'd be after that!
The sickness also had a hold of me this time last year. To the point I wanted to look back on last Christmas and realised I had not a single photo from after Christmas Eve until the 28th December 🙈 let's hope dd1 never asks to see anything from Christmas 2021 - according to my timeline it never happened!

Worth it all now of course. But again, a blink of an eye and it's gone!

Cakecakecheese · 26/12/2022 22:03

Hope you all had a wonderful day. I'm sure my boy was completely baffled but let's face it first Christmas is all for the parents and it was so lovely.

Randomly checking in to say hey all and hope you and your little ones are doing well. I can’t believe they’re 9 months old. Where does the time go! We have two bottom teeth and one coming soon on the top. In the throes of weaning- man it’s hard work isn’t it?! Almost (but not quite) crawling. Doing a funny sort of salmon flop / worm dance to go places. It will seem like minutes until we are planning first birthday parties. Love to all x

RikkiVictorious · 21/04/2023 18:11

@squatternutbosh12 sounds like you're being kept very busy.
Mine is 9 months old in a couple of weeks. She's got 6 teeth (2 bottom 4 top) which came from nowhere almost overnight. Totally with you on the weaning. I love watching her try new things and she's reasonably adventurous (she reacts to banana the way most would a lemon) but it is hard work.
She's showing no signs of crawling, but just rolls wherever she needs to go.

Can't believe how quickly the time has gone and everyone's exciting birth announcements just seem like a few weeks ago.

Delight12 · 21/04/2023 18:18

@squatternutbosh12 my girl will be 1 in 30 days, she's not crawling yet or have any teeth but she eats us out of house and home lol but she's coming on nicely now weighs a lovely 18lb 1oz and in 6-9 month clothes

Beth262 · 21/04/2023 21:47

@Delight12 was thinking your beautiful girl wouldn't be far off 1 when I read the first message. How quickly that year has gone! She sounds like she's growing steadily and developing wonderfully 🙂 Hope you've mentally recovered too from dealing with such a premature birth (as much as you can with these things!).
Glad to hear your babies are doing well too @squatternutbosh12 and 2 @RikkiVictorious. Two bottom teeth here and some v. imminent top ones. Mine seems to be a lazy baby. Can't roll and no interest in trying to move or crawl - presumably because everything that is just out of his reach gets brought to him almost immediately by his brother 🤦‍♀️ but he flies around the kitchen in his walker, either terrorising the dog or opening cupboard doors. I think I'm going going to have my hands full when he's moving of his own accord! Hoping it's some way off! Loves his food though and is a right chunky monkey. Though he's not a fan of Broccoli... but then, who is?! 😆

Anyone back in work yet? I've pushed my mat leave into the middle of June and that still feels too soon!

Delight12 · 21/04/2023 22:10

@Beth262 she definitely is 😁 I think I have lol, her birthday may bring some memories back but we will deal with that then. you will definitely have your hands full when little one starts getting around you will need eyes everywhere 😂 I went back to work at the beginning of the month and so far I'm loving it.

mamaof2girls · 22/04/2023 17:04

Little one is 8 month next week he has 2 bottom teeth and 2 top ones coming though (hopefullly soon) rolls every where and is so close to crawling any second now! Weaning we are getting there he does just do blw. But tbh he's the most happy content and easy going little boy honestly I said he was my last even when pregnant etc but cause how easy etc he's been I honestly think I might want another but am also not sure 😂😂😂 x

Delight12 · 23/04/2023 08:36

@mamaof2girls don't it's a trap 😂 glad little one is doing well x

Beth262 · 23/04/2023 10:17

Glad you're enjoying being back at work @Delight12. I'm a bit apprehensive about it. I went off on mat leave with DS1 just before covid struck. My job became exclusively wfh when I went back initially but the week after DS2 was born we were all called back into the office. So having not set foot there, I feel like I've been off for 4 years 😆

@mamaof2girls glad to hear all is good with you 😊 BLW stresses me out. I panic so much about choking!

OP posts:
mamaof2girls · 23/04/2023 10:26

@Beth262 I think cause he's my 3rd I was a lot more confident with him! Where as my other 2 did start purée but he was straight blw! X

mamaof2girls · 23/04/2023 10:27

@Delight12 yeah defo a trap think cause we said he was out last it's like when you have your first and they are so good you are like let's try again and then you have a second and they are nothing like the first 😂😂 x

Delight12 · 23/04/2023 10:31

@Beth262 once you go back it will be like you've never left.
@mamaof2girls I have a 10 year age gap between my two so it was like starting again lol.
We are doing BLW and she's loving it just remember the rule LOUD AND RED go ahead, SILENT AND BLUE they need you. You've got this ladies x

Beth262 · 23/04/2023 10:41

@Delight12 I've never heard that rhyme before, thank you. Will try to be more adventurous whilst chanting it! Lol 😄

@Beth262

Delight12 · 23/04/2023 10:45

@Beth262 it's helped me loads, Maddison chokes a little but that's because she shoves everything in lol x

Beth262 · 23/04/2023 11:15

@Delight12 that's what panicks me the most with Seb! The entire finger of toast or whole pasta twirl gets shoved in in one go - then he's coughing and spluttering everywhere 🤦‍♀️

OP posts:
Delight12 · 23/04/2023 11:30

@Beth262 babies have great gag reflexes that's why they say that rule, he will learn to not put so much into his mouth it's all a learning curve x

ToCaden · 23/04/2023 15:19

Crazy how big they're getting. Mine is 8 months and finally has his first tooth after teething on and off for months. It's so cool seeing their brains develop. We're signing a few words here. Neat seeing them communicate.
